I've heard that we are pushing Borna to Verona in cash plus player swap for Doig. Despite interest in Ridvan Clement wants him to stay not go! Borna is interested in the move. Would be a good move for both parties considering his contract situation.

But that could change if the money offered is right and the Borna deal breaks down. But the Ridvan leaving is not top choice!

I like the kid you're starting to see his abilities that's no coincidence as he's getting a run of games, he has great feet, aggressive for size. A terrific leap! Defensively sound. Also far far more direct than Borna who rubbishs himself. We are also starting to see his crossing improve.

Not sure how much Doig has developed but was certainly a good player. Better than Ridvan? I'm not sure.

So, if Verona want 5m for Doig, and we are trying to pap them off with Barisic, then that would be him (if they're daft enough to take him), plus £4,999.999 of cash we'd need to stump up. ? Can't see it.

My 2 pence but I don’t see the point in giving them Borna. We’re only going to play 1 left back and you’d expect it to be Doige if we’re going to spend a few million on him. May as well use our more valuable asset to fund the transfer given both our current left backs would become backups if Doige was to come in.

Don’t think we should put that sort of money into a LB who could end up being second choice to Ridvan, especially when our main issues are up top. Bring in Kai Wagner on a free and let Borna move on. If an offer comes for Ridvan then maybe look at Doig.

What’s the point of keeping Ridvan if that happened with Doig Ridvan wouldn’t get a game would rather see it spent on striker.

Doig is bigger stronger and faster than ridvan who for the amount of time he has been here has been unconvincing. Doig started every week as an 18 year old in the league. Last season he was Verona's best player. Injuries kept him out for a bit this year. Doig would devalue any sell on for ridvan as ridvan wouldn't get a game. Look at kamara, he signed an extension so we could get top dollar. Beale never played him and we got a fraction of his worth. Doig is young, Scottish and played weekly in a top 5 league he is exactly what we want. If anyone is so sure of ridvan tell me what he brings to the side and if he brings it in one game is it there in the next game. He been here 18 months and is unavailable more than available. I want every signing to succeed but sometimes you have to admit either they aren't the player that we need or we ain't the club for them.

Definitely think Doig is the better player than Ridvan. We have not seen enough of Ridvan to really make a choice on him let's not forget he's not managed more than 4 games in a row with us since signing.

I don't see Borna to Verona being an option. The guy can now sign a pre contract with anyone so his value is negligible. More likely he will sign a pre contract with either Notts Forest or Sunderland.
I still believe that we will sell Yilmaz, either to one of the Istanbul sides previously mentioned, or he will go as part of a swap deal for Doig.

Doig is not better! Yeh the deal seems odd equally so does selling Ridvan who is settling down. Yeh Doig would give homegrown talent for Europe.

I would keep Ridvan and have Doig also. 2 good players fighting. That’s how you improve the squad! Not 1 good and another avg.

Borna " rubbishs himself " what does that even mean. The guy has done well for Rangers over the years and created lots of goals with some brilliant crosses . Yilmaz has a long way to go to make the same impact he has and one good game against Kilmarnock is hopefully the start but its taken long enough.

Yilmaz may have had a bit of a lift as he's being allowed to leave, whether that's in a swap deal or sold.

I haven't seen a lot of Doig as I rarely watched Hibs and have never watched Verona, but it makes sense if both players would like to be nearer home .

Doig also looks easier to spell for most people. though I have half expected "Dog" and "Doog" to appear.
