First time posting but enjoyed this site for years, anyone heard anything substantial on Lassana Coulibaly returning or is it just prior affiliation seeing us linked to him? Still waiting on the deeds for all the land and wives I was promised while we were blessed with the Godlike genius of Bongani Zungu so I'm admittedly wary of anything involving African midfielders but Coulibaly looked like he might develop into a half decent player at times, fair bit of Serie A experience behind him at this point

No, but I did read an article that Danny Rohl wanted to bring back Todd Cantwell. That would be a controversial one, and test Danny's popularity with the support. I must say, though, that as a player I liked him, and he was far better than the likes of Aasgaard in that No. 10 position. I still wouldn't re-sign him, though.

Another club Cantwell hasn't settled at. As captain, he may well lead them into League 1 before bailing out.
All that's left now is his usual mystery social media post, hinting at a story to be told at another time as to why he has underperformed again.
I don't want Cantwell back at Rangers.

I was coming on to see if there was any info on that. My one memory of Todd was tagging 2 YouTubers in a post of a goal he scored against Hearts (I believe we bottled the game in the final minutes), the same day our rivals went on to win the title.
Absolutely no thanks. Decent enough technical player, but we have that w Aasgaard already.

Cantwell has played well for them. And, while I think Cantwell was a little hard done by Clement, when he was one of the better players in the team prior to Clement, I think he's exactly the type of player we need.
But!!!!
Because of all the stuff that goes with him, his media interests and the way he left, I'd rather look elsewhere.
I bet they will also ask for a good fee.

George, sorry, but Cantwell is a far better player than Aasgaard.
And, to put it mostly on him when Clement was pretty much benching him most games, is unfair. He did stupid stuff in the media, though; the whole Sutton thing was idiotic. Don't bite, everyone knows Sutton is a clown. He did not have to make himself one either.

OrangeT, I was checking to see it was the same Lassana Coulibaly that had played for us earlier because I had nearly forgotten him, Lassana and Coulibaly are sort of common in football so when I checked on African midfielders under Gerrard I was reminded of Zungu who I'd nearly as forgotten as well.
He was utter mince but the South African fans were hilarious, couldn't go on YouTube to watch highlights without them offering you land or their sisters for wives, they were better value for money than Danilo's old man too so that's the username, good times lol.
