Cavanagh is a very intelligent man and his eyes are the same as ours seeing his money going down a drain. The clock is ticking for change before January. I would say the 49ers and he are very aware the problems are way beyond the head coach.

I think they will give Thelwell January transfer window and if he isn't successful then he'll be gone at the end of the season.

Thelwell needs to be removed, no doubt at all. This should be done before January.

Cavenagh has to admit he has made just a bigger mistake than just the wrong had coach. The recruitment had been dreadful and not just the young " project players" who may or may not come good, the more experienced players like Djiga, Aarons and Miovksi are contributing nothing. If Miovski was playing well and scoring goals the pressure on Chermiti would be a lot less, he may be given time by the support.
I'm not a guy who just wants bluenoses in managerial positions just for the sake of it, but Rangers men or even just Scots who know the game up here are required at CEO and Sporting Director level. we need to win domestically before we can start to conquer Europe. Back to basics.

Here's my problem with this: there was a vocal bunch that wanted Ross Wilson sacked/removed but it was the board that changed and didn't want to put the money in or listen to Gio's targets opting for cheaper, then he left for Forest and did a brilliant job, he's now at Newcastle. The same voices wanted Nils Koppen out last season for Propper (who is vastly better than Djiga and even Souttar this season) and Cortes but he's was pretty much a chief scout and merely picked the targets then the board made the offers and negotiated (Beale said Danilo was a board signing too).
And now we want rid of another DoF type, I agree he shouldn't of been appointed since Everton were a mess and I would of kept Koppen who was looking all over the world for players. If we bin Thelwell then we need to look for a new recruitment team, not just a DoF and we'll be effectively back to square one unless we bring Koppen back in and he just picks up were he left. We shouldn't be listening to McCoist at all about recruitment cause he finished 3rd in the championship and failed to get us promoted.
