Those 2 goals aside he is brutal mate and will cost kid time and time again just like he has done the last 19 months especially in the big moments. Get Man Utd and Dundee Utd out of your heads. Any offer comes in we need to look to sell the same with Danilo.

I'd rather sell Danillo tbh. Dessers has come up with the goals many a time but also misses some open goals and other easy chances. We need to have 3 strikers on the books.
As it stands Igamane is number 1 but Dessers is a good option to have and I prefer him ahead of Danillo as he is available more often.

rick, dessers has also contributed to big moments through his time at rangers so if your going to call out him out for costing rangers in big moments at least recognise the big moments he has contributed to. if you don't like the guy then fine but plenty recognise his strengths. do i think he's the way forward no, but 20 goals a season is hard to come by and that's what he gives, he does it domestically and in europe.

If we are lucky and Dessers moves on, if it's not Emanuel Dennis coming in, it will be a similar profile striker to him
Similar to Igamane in terms of skill and off the ball movement,
Dessers was bought in to play within a different system and is very much a target man
Danilo is different to both as suits playing off a main striker
For me if Dessers doesn't move on now he will in the summer as he will get less and less mins if all other players are fully fit, he doesn't like being second best, hense why he has moved clubs so often.

I get why there is heat on dessers, but I've said from the start he would do well. Watched him lots before in the Dutch league, he doesn't stop, he's not a lazy striker just has different strengths to other strikers we have, for a player scoring 20+ goals each season can't be booed out the club it's crazy, like to see dessers and igmane play together as igamane has the movement, as long as dessers can keep the defenders busy marking him I think it could work out well.

Dessers our top scorer over two seasons and yet he has barely scored any meaningful goals and Rangers have won only 1 cup.
Yes let's keep a striker that only scorers goals after we are winning games and gets hat tricks against part timers. And a striker that refuses to take penalty in a shootout in a cup final.
No point having a player that shows up and is always fit if they aren't good enough or even improving and they miss loads of sitters but scores 2 brilliant goals that are meaningless.
maybe that's just the sorry state the club are in i guess that clubs are happy with mediocre. sorry, not me.
Dessers is 3rd choice and on one of the highest wages and has literally no sell on value at his age or ability. it simply doesn't make sense.
Yet the same fans moaning about some fans wanting Shankland who was top goal scorer and player of the year and would have scored loads of goals for us and likely been on far less wages.

Utilising less and not using at all are different. Less compared to Davies, Lawrence, Dowell, Cantwell, even Sterling but we'll still very much be active in terms of scouting academy players I'm sure. FA trained players sell at a premium.

Ally mc what you on about mate, go back two seasons. Dessers goals has won us plenty. And also brought us a few draws, when we were getting bet, it's great to want better
But the guy is a good striker
All strikers miss chances
No one scores every chance
He's a workhorse
N has been great in our team

I'd take dessers over shankland any day of the week, ally I he was our onky striker for ages while danilo was injured and igmane was not ready, our style of play has been a lot better since the start of the season, playing with 2 strikers is definitely the way to go imo, at the start of the season there was many of hopeless balls into the box expecting dessers to best 4 defenders to which was absolutely rubbish tactics. Aye he misses chances but so does every striker, fans are expecting too much of the team, it's a massive rebuild and we are more likely to be closer next season with all the players on high wages out of the club and let the new era begin. I think Clement can take us forward with koppen.

Ally could have, would have, should have. can I borrow your crystal ball when you are finished with it. all goals are important as they can go to goal difference. does his movement create space for others to score. the issue with Dessers isn't what he does but that we paid money for him and he is on a high wage. we get the same average Shankland but because we paid less and he will be on (slightly? ) lower wages he is acceptable.
Dessers scored goals which won games last season against Betis, Servette, Motherwell, St Johnstone, St Mirren (twice) Ross County, Hearts, and Morton. That is 3 points in Europe which saw us through the group stages and progression to next round of cup and 18 points.
assists against PSV, St Johnstone, Celtic, Hearts, Morton which is another 9 points we might have lost so tell me again his goals aren't important.
none so blind as those that will not see.
yes he has his limitations but he isn't the sole reason we haven't won anything.

Allen, where is the evidence that Dessers refused to take a cup final penalty? I would suggest that he oils probably been penalty kick taker no 6, and therefore under more pressure, as sudden death scenario. As compared to kickers 1-4 who can depend on others! Guv the guy a break, there are others who do hide in a game, not Dessers. As already highlighted by other fans Danilo is constantly injured.
