Give me both. Evans for 6 months plus option of another year. Porteous, cause he’s no nonsense, and actually has the mentality to go to the tougher grounds where we struggle. He actually has ability too.
I understand why people wouldn’t want him, but at the end of the day, he was playing against us, and had the mentality to wind most people up and not give a damn. Clearly got to some on here (I’m kidding! ) ?.

Porteous is 12 years younger than Evans and gives us another home grown player. If it's one or the other I'd go Porteous every day of the week. I can understand Evans coming in for 6 months to fill in for injuries, but I can't see him being part of the team next season and think we need to focus on the future.

My Star, Porteous is a good player mate. He’s a really good player for Scottish football. I wouldn’t turn my nose up to him because of his past. We are in a bit of a mess defensively. He wouldn’t need to settle. Goes in straight away. He can play a bit too. Of course he has a mistake in him, but he always had the good, aggressive and defensive ability for the level we are playing at. Give me that over a powder puff, weak in the stomach player every day of the week.

Is he better than anything we have right now yes and by far in some cases like propper for instance.

Nsiala deemed not ready at 21 year old to play.
We have been crying out for a no nonsense defender for years literally.
He is also a asset at corners which is another huge problem for us.
Personally I don't think it's going to happen anyway so it doesn't matter just my 2 cents on it.

Alex it’s normally a mistake leading to a goal aswell and it’s normally made in the air. Totally agree mate. Souttar isn’t good enough to be in a successful first rangers 11z.

Personally I’d be delighted to get a Jonny Evan’s in the door. Experienced CB that has proven that he can control a defence and improve those around him. Haven’t we had great success with ‘experienced’ CBs before?
Leon B is arguably the best CB at the club at the moment (albeit I I know he struggles with fitness)
Davie Weir wasn’t exactly a spring chicken when he signed and look how long he played and how much value his experience added to the team.
I know Evan’s wouldn’t fit the player trading model, but my view is we need experienced guys to help young talent develop into top pros.

Jonny Evans is unlikely lads.
I spoke to him about coming to Rangers when he was leaving Leicester and he said playing for us would have been amazing, but he wouldn’t want to stay away from his wife and kids. Did it for Leicester a few days a week and he said it was a big struggle.

Got a couple of Hibees in the family (in laws/ out laws) and they hate Rangers, Porteous is def one of that type and a roaster with it just like them.

Soapy was our most consistent player until injury, playing RCB and playing every week showed how good he was, if he was not injured we would be 7 points better off.
