I was having a discussion about igamane with a friend of a friend who knows kloppen, not a taxi driver
He was sayining if kloppen had stayed in Holland igamane would be at PSV. Also he was well aware of Cortez diomande nsiala .
He states igamane was no1 on what is known as Clemente red book off talent in 18-22 age group who could go all the way in the game.
He also said his list of 1-5 r all raw talent that we could bring to rangers all for around 1-2 million each.
He considers no2 and 4 are seen as similar prospects to nsiala and igamane
This has to be part of our strategy going forward, an igamane type prospect every year, alongside one or two top Scot's, with money only being spent on experience
By next summer I'm being told we will see a b team littered with non British players.
06 Jan 2025 14:37:05
Sorry that should be kloppen red book.
06 Jan 2025 14:42:11
John I am very confident Koppen brings us success, good Clement having his list because according to that keeper Clement can improve a player like no other he's worked under.
06 Jan 2025 14:48:07
ok but what does Koppen say about this lol.
and do we know any of the names of these players yet? hopefully a fews centre backs would be ideal.
06 Jan 2025 14:48:53
No L mate. Just Koppen ??. good info john, cheers.
06 Jan 2025 14:50:35
Cool John I just posted about it being Clement's lol.
06 Jan 2025 14:51:51
Hi John, Mr Koppen does indeed operate like that and i'm hearing people at the club think it’s a real positive.
Had also heard Koppen feels we can have more talent on less money in the b team if we operate with non British players in the team.
He and PSV done the same with Saibiri (Moroccan) .
Hopefully more to come from his contacts.
06 Jan 2025 14:56:16
Great wee bit of info John. Thanks for sharing:
Can I ask, what is your personal opinion on both Clements job so far and then kloppen so far?
Do u want both to stay?
06 Jan 2025 15:12:20
Interesting post John and makes sense. Combination of the current global economics of the game with Koppen/ Clement’s knowledge can work significantly in our favour.
06 Jan 2025 15:16:02
I'm not one bit surprised to hear that our B team will be littered with non British players and actually expected this would of already happened but it's the way forward as most foreign markets are way cheaper than ours and just look at the likes of Porto, Sporting, PSV etc they all sign these boys really young and end up selling them for fortunes later on.
We need the B team to be playing a certain way going forward so that by the time they are given a chance in the first team, they know what is expected of them in their roles etc.

it is very good info john, and something i really like the look of myself, and i’m just about happy to suffer the setbacks that come with a large scale rebuild, we are going to have great performances and slackness, we will have players from all over the world and some may not quite fancy the struggles in midwinter in scotland, but i like the sound of this so long as we don’t give up the fight fur honours here,
06 Jan 2025 15:38:15
Wee question for John, or anyone else ITK.
If Clement gets the tin tack does that mean Kloppen would automatically leave as well?
P. S. loving the info, John.
06 jan 2025 15:38:32
star, don’t get stuck up on what one player said once, you’ve mentioned this keeper many times, it doesn’t mean he is right or even really meant what he said, any player is going to be gushing about a firmer gaffer they liked, but i think clement whole ethos is about improvement in favour of instant success, now, we have a situation whereby we must win, now, that’s his big problem.
06 Jan 2025 15:41:26
bigbluejim, Ehl has told us this has already started.
Ehl, I really wish you'd reconsider mate, hopefully your still having a look, your info from inside the club was first class and many will feel the same as me.
06 Jan 2025 15:48:56
We've made good steps in our transfer business under Koppen, with Propper I think being the only clear miss (and that was a last minute stop-gap filler in my mind) . But it has been frustratingly slow, which I appreciate is not his fault, the club cannot spend beyond it's means. We're still really hamstrung by some of the singings made under previous regimes (eg Dessers, Lawrence, Matondo, Dowell, King (inflated contract beyond his worth) ) . I can only hope we can move these all on between now and summer and give Clement a clean slate to work from with more hungry young players.
While there may be more value bringing in foreign youth, we need to be smart enough to mix that with Scottish players so we can finally fill our European squad. While players like Porteous (mentioned in other recent posts) might not be clear starting 11 players, they can have a grit that doesn't come from English Championship also rans and we need more than 11 players to be successful.
06 Jan 2025 15:50:40
Couldn’t agree more my star, a really valued and insightful psoter.
06 Jan 2025 16:04:16
The success of Igamane might possibly attract investment or encourage further commitment from current board. Jefte was a great find too for the price.
06 Jan 2025 16:06:20
The recruitment has definitely improved in recent windows.
06 Jan 2025 16:12:04
Koppens been getting some stick but I'm sure he has a good track record, if we're signing prospects we can't do it with a new manager every year either.
06 Jan 2025 16:24:31
Good info John and very interesting on the way forward need to trust the process.
06 Jan 2025 16:54:39
I will try answer some of the questions, I do not believe if clement goes it’s automatic kloppen goes.
I consider this rebuilding and strategy goes much deeper than the first team and what we think will happen, if successful I think we will have a structUre that will stand us in great fettle for 20-30 years
Big blue, this process re how b team play and discussed by Ehl has started. We see the first shoots of this imo
Andy do you honestly expect kloppen to post his list for all to read and have many clubs after his targets.
Reality some will succeed som won’t and many May already be outwith our price range, however we seem to be developing a credible recruitment structure which takes time. This may be why clement appears confident he won’t be going anywhere soon
I do believe pc has lost a portion of the fan base and he has to regain their backing
Also Ehl do an old crabbit guy a favour please return same to ibrox 4 me who I had a fantastic chat with prior to cup final, these guys are the real deal.
06 Jan 2025 17:04:33
See when you consider igamane wasn't apparently fit for Scottish football when he came here and his first few cameos he looked like a deer caught in the headlights and constantly drofting out of position. A few months later to now scoring hat tricks and scoring against epl teams then you need to trust koppen and clement in what they are trying to achieve. If that results in much more income that is then regenerated back into the team and provides us with a sustainable business model I for one can put up with not winning the league this year.
Short term success costs a lot more money that we don't have and is purely that. Short term. We would have to pump millions into regenerating a new team every 2 to 3 years and I think we've all seen that's not sustainable as it brings in high wage earners with a proven track record that then results in the rest of the squad wanting similarly paid. It just didn't work.
On a side note has EHl stopped posting? I really enjoyed their posts.
06 Jan 2025 17:05:43
great info as always John. I add my plea to Ibrox 4 and EHL to return as I always enjoyed their posts and found them enlightening.
I think though John that every Rangers manager loses a part of the fan base as they are never everyone's cup of tea even when they are winning.
06 Jan 2025 17:07:35
Great info John and an incite into the clubs direction, couldn't agree more about EHL and Ibrox4me to hopefully return??Great posters. ?.
06 Jan 2025 17:14:49
Yo Jimbo your point re mixing foreign youth with Scottish is well made
Please note nationality has nothing to do with criteri
In relation to being eligible for European squads
It’s solely atime issue .
So we could have a Dutch kid Italian Moroccan player if we want who become home grown.
06 Jan 2025 17:18:17
Great information once again John thank you.
06 Jan 2025 17:28:08
Superb info John and there's superb very honest great info posters on here which i and i'm sure most appreciate very much ???I echo your words John because we all want these very in the know knowledgeable posters to stay and continue posting on this site so i would also like both Ibrox4Me and EHL to consider continuing posting on this wonderful site because quite simply this site is even better with you guys ???.
06 Jan 2025 18:04:16
I'd also like to see CopelandFront5 return.
06 Jan 2025 18:48:21
So on one hand we are going to fill the B team with foreign talent but then we are going to start buying Scottish talent from other clubs . That is a pretty muddled strategy.
Surely we should be wanting a mixture talent from home and abroad in the B team maybe with some foreign coaches at lower levels.
We should be asking why the talent we have, never seems to develop to its full potential. Could it be the lack of competitive football
I would ask where is this foreign talent in the B team going to play.
06 Jan 2025 19:04:45
Not at all wslgers, I'm actually seeing that as a great strategy, let other young Scottish players gets experience with others club and when good enough for our squad try and sign them.
06 Jan 2025 19:05:25
Great info as ever John, I'm a fan of this long term project, and can see lots of what they're trying to do, for me it can't just be win every game or your sacked. It takes time to reenergise a club in need.
06 Jan 2025 19:45:15
Think you are looking at it the wrong way wsl and it’s easy the young kids just haven’t got it to succeed at our club.
06 Jan 2025 19:54:12
Mark 44 totally agree re Copland 5.
06 Jan 2025 20:12:30
I’ve given my opinion on this strategy previously and by the looks of it everyone on here is behind it including me.
However, the one huge flaw is us, the fans. We are extremely impatient and after several poor results with a very young and inexperienced team we are screaming for the managers head.
I would much prefer that we take a step back to enjoy the position we find ourselves in now and hopefully in a few years lavish in the success it has bred.
John, great to hear your info mate. Always look forward to your posts and also hope the others mentioned reconsider and return to sharing their rumours.
06 Jan 2025 20:31:14
John, he definitely had genuine info. He broke the Clement story at least 4/ 5 days before it was confirmed. Sadly got some grief on here and didn't return. too many Good posters leaving.
07 Jan 2025 09:07:42
Agreed John that some of the foreign lads can count as home grown in time. Think that requires 3 years in our academy before the age of 21, which means bringing them in at 18 or younger. Presumably that will mean the hit/ success rate on signings of that age of player will be significantly worse than an established player (and no transfer is guaranteed to make it at the best of times) . It also brings challenges in getting kids to settle / complying with the rules over transfers of players of that age.
My own preference would be to concentrate more on developing the Scottish lads, and cherry picking those coming through at other clubs like Barron and the Dundee lad which can be done at economical fees if done right (Porteous could have been hot for £500k too for example) .
I appreciate the club might have grander plans, but it's hard to be long term in this game!
07 Jan 2025 12:42:34
So, we don`t ever have kids good enough to break through at our club but they will at other clubs so we cam sign / buy them?
There are good youngsters in Scotland then so why don`t we have a policy of signing the better ones and providing a path through to the first team rather than let then go to other Scottish clubs.
If we are going to " fill" the B team with foreign youngsters then we would be as well to do away with our own youth development because instead of being blocked at fist team level they will be blocked at B team level.
I don`t know how good Rice is but the difference between him and Mller was, Miller came out of Under 18s into the first team and Rice had nowhere to play because its harder to get into our first team and there is no organised football for over 18s.
