Can be worse sacking him without having a plan in place. Many clubs have a succession plan for if or when a manager leaves. Brighton possibly the best example. As long as not parading himself around the club like certain others the club should be gauging interest for the future whether immediate or long-term.

this was a rumour and the meeting probably didn't happen. Moyes has openly said in the press he would not put a manager under pressure and would that meeting not do just that. so as an alternative people know that fans unhappy with PC; Moyes in press about his next manager post so put 2 + 2 together to make 4Million.

How long would Moyes last as Rangers manager with his poor football? we had a man taking us to the Europa final won the sc and got us into the cl for the first time in years but still got sacked after a year, gvb had us playing better football than Moyes would and the reason most wanted him sacked was because of the way he played the game, gvb should never have been sacked all down to fans.

Walters football was boring but it was effective. I’m not sure if Moyes is the man for the job but if winning trophies meant playing poor football I’d take it any day of the week.

My star, GVB has just been sacked again by besiktas. His football was some of the worst I've seen us play, domestically anyway. Done well in Europe, obviously. I don't think we'd be a whole lot better off of we had kept him. I'd take Moyes over PC. Yes PC has won more trophies, but Moyes for the most part has managed in the EPL, PC trophies came in Belgium. What Moyes achieved with West ham was brilliant. I'll have some of that. Nobody here would be wanting to sack the manager if we were top of the league, beating them, doing well in Europe, but the football wasn't great.

Walter smith never played beautiful football either in his 2nd spell. U play football to win first and right now and for the foreseeable future we don’t and won’t have the fianancial capabilities to play attacking football v Celtic and win over a season.

Don`t want to disrespect the great man but Walters team in his second spell didn`t always pay great football, he built a side to win, even if it meant being pragmatic, just win.
If Moyes were to take over and build a side that defended well and then got a goal or two to win matches and more importantly trophies, then the fans would be happy. They would have a moan at times but if the ends justified the means they would be out celebrating and that's what really matters at the moment.
