There's bound to be interest in any new young player breaking thru. Scouts wouldn't be doing their job if weren't. Doubt there will be anything in January and clubs will monitor how he does this season. If there's good money in summer then we sell. That should be the way forward.

I'm of the opinion that if the lad wants to go and we are getting crazy offers ie 8m upwards we'd be daft not to take it. He could get a really bad injury knowing us and not come back at strong and not be worth as much. We can't really be sentimental about a boy who's been here 4 or 5 months. I think less than that I'd be inclined to keep him though.

Obviously it depends on the offer. if someone offers over £10m then it will be accepted i'd guess.
Rangers problem then is that Dessers is back in the starters and we won't win games. Unless we can get rid of Dessers and sign a new striker.
I know Danilo is there but he'll not play full games or start every week either.

EHL, may have similar info, if Dessers moves we will go for shankland cut price deal. Igamane, Danilo, Shankland would be our forward options.

If a bid of around £10m comes in the club should sell. That will provide us with a working player trading model overnight. As the OP said, hanging on to players has never done well for us.
I remember people saying about Morelos - IF Rangers win the league, and IF we qualify for the Champions League, and IF he scores there, he'll be worth £30m, etc. Rangers ended up getting nothing for him.
A club cannot operate on what ifs. Celtic don't. A big bid comes in they sell no matter how key the player is. Again, we could learn from them.
