Stories doing the rounds that rangers looking to sell our Turkish left back ridvan yilmaz in january or at the end of the season ? We're allegedly very interested in signing aberdeen young left back Jack McKenzie on a pre contract and would be the replacement for yilmaz to understudy our current no.1 left back jefte ?It could be very good business for the club getting a good transfer fee for yilmaz and getting mckenzie on a pre contract ?.

If we get a decent fee for Yilmaz I'd be happy to make that deal. I rate Yilmaz very highly and for me if he could stay fit he'd be a clear 1st choice LB at any club up here. Think the lad at Aberdeen would be another good bit of business for us.

In my opinion Yilmaz was better at the same age even much younger he won the league and a cup in Turkey and fans were fuming when we signed him, he is still better right now but like what am seen from Jefte he does need to improve his defending though and once he does he'll not be our player.

Jefte needs to improve defensively and I’d like to see him improve his final pass, cross or shot at goal, he just needs to get his head up at times and make the correct decision and improve the quality of this but definitely has potential.
We need to sell on players so if the correct money is on offer for Yilmaz then we need to get that model in motion and move him on.
That said I like Yilmaz but that’s the model we need to start adhering to.

Yes Paul but Jefte is only 20 year old and that side of his game will be getting worked on right now and he improves that he moves on hopefully he improves it pronto and moves on next summer but will probably be the following year.

Jefte timing and tackling actually good for a young defender, his positioning sense needs work but a could say that about every wing back these days, to say he is a bad defender is wide of the mark.

I never said he was a bad defender, I said he needs to improve many things in his defensive game he's improved already of letting wide players cut in on his blind side he needs to improve his positions and pick up players when cross balls come in but do like what I've seen and can only improve.

John, hearing we're keen to get Cameron on a pre-contract but aren't in any rush to bring him in to the squad in January.
I know there are around 8 academy players that we want to move on in January, both King and Devine are included in those.

I've mentioned this a few times, but PC and his team are really frustrated at a few things within the academy.
Firstly, players aren't developed with the flexibility they would like.
Secondly, to many have accepted they won't make it and are subconsciously lowering the intensity at training.
As John said, they are looking to revamp the youth set up, but will need to do so with a few players from outside Scotland who understand and buy in to their approach.

EHL the folk bashing Rice are just armchair fans pal, the boy is young and raw and put into a level of opposition he has never played against. PC got it spot on, giving him time when we were going to win regardless. Did he do great no but it's experience for the YOUNG lad and next time he might not be as nervous either.
Would love to see this going forward for the boys we think can kick on.

We had a decent clear out in the summer, but more players from the club need to go. TBH, I've been disappointed with the lack of quality from the youth. A lot of these players haven't kicked on in the way I'd hoped. Even the promising ones like Thompson and Lovelace have disappointed.

How good I don’t know, maybe after a years loan next season? Could send him to Motherwell on loan as part of a deal for miller.
