Tic Tok Tic Tok. starts today. The manager has 18 days to save his job . If he wins all the games between now and December 15th then a reprieve will take place. yes it's a fickle life being a manager. Apart from the pay-off of-course. Beale got 500,000 quid for being a flop. Boggles the mind.
28 Nov 2024 13:23:38
Correct deecee, that has to always be the aim of any rangers manager mate, just win ?.
28 Nov 2024 16:31:40
And if he wins them all half the support will want him gone because he didn’t win by enough.
28 Nov 2024 17:12:10
I think if he keeps chipping away at Aberdeen’s lead (I know ?♂️) then he will keep his job. I think the priority for this season will now be to secure 2nd and a decent cup run. Think the expectation will be set very low and then re-evaluate in the summer. Think PC will also re-evaluate and see if there is something better out there for him.
28 Nov 2024 17:58:43
There it is, the mindset the board want. Unless he changes the system, formation, then granted we will maybe win a few games but like I said last month we are still sinking and sinking fast and those victories will soon turn into defeats and embarrassment. He needs relieved of his duties now and there’s no argument to that and stop hiding behind the December 16th date unless you really want him to stay that is which I think secretly on here people do.
28 Nov 2024 18:27:23
Bruised bear what a lot of pish mate. Cheap dig at fans who are not accepting the absolute garbage we are being served up. If we go on and win the league cup and finally demonstrate we are able to beat Celtic then obviously it will buy the manager more time from the majority of fans.
28 Nov 2024 19:19:08
He won't be sacked if we lose the cup final any1 can see they have a better team in every position but he should be for having us in the position after 1 year in charge.
28 Nov 2024 20:33:40
It's style of play that is most worrying we never look comfortable in a game.
28 Nov 2024 21:33:26
CLEMENT MUST STAY. ????
*currently NICE 0-4 RANGERS.
28 Nov 2024 22:00:43
His win ratio is around 45%. on that basis i can't see him winning every game.
28 Nov 2024 22:08:21
it isn't necessarily about beating Celtic at this time it is about building a club who can get a team who will be able to, as quickly as possible. that isn't accepting second best it is being realistic we were bust in 2012 and by the sound of things weren't that far away again if it wasn't for the generosity of our board. we need to strip back and build a more self funding club and there will be hurt along the way. results and performances like tonight might not be the norm but when they come we need to enjoy them even more.
28 Nov 2024 22:22:00
He'll soon find a style of play, very good in the second half on Saturday, players know what he asking for as see second half, very good performance tonight creating many chances could have been 6,7,8 but need to adapt our game for leagues games, difference with European football and the football in our league, shouldn't be long before we're putting teams away in our league it's just getting that second goal.
29 Nov 2024 07:45:22
he has a 67% win rate. but whatever no manager wins every game and it doesn't matter who we replaced him with they wouldn't win every game.
29 Nov 2024 08:11:00
So we counting his full tenure Angus? Or we just counting the last 4 months? Fans and pc need to make their mind up win percentage is horrendous especially away from him in the league.
29 Nov 2024 08:31:25
I don't think all of the blame should land on PC. Look at our starting team last night only Souttar has been with us longer than 2 years. Even outside that you have tav that's got a few years with us and Hagi but we don't have the 8 to 10 players that have came in and had time to properly settle in and establish themselves. Look at celtic and Aberdeen they have a core of experienced players that have been at the club for a good few years.
Our board and prior management has done PC no favours. Prior management have handed out massive contracts to average players and the board has allowed our valuable assets to leave for nothing instead of taking good money that was offered. You can't lose 7 very important players for free in 2 years and demand the manager magically replaces them with a restricted budget.
29 Nov 2024 08:47:38
strom that is his full tenure of competitive games. the 45% (mis) quoted is your last 30+games figure I think. away percentage in league since he started is around 54% which I agree is too low but still above the 40%. the figures this year are skewed by 1 win from 5 away but 86% home win rate is much more what we are all looking for.
keep spouting rubbish though and picking elements of what he says and then misrepresenting it otherwise I would find myself disappointed.
29 Nov 2024 09:08:04
Good point bellshill, there is potential in this squad but there has been some serious mismanagement from the top down. Our squad depth so fragile that whenever we get injuries it completely kills all momentum and that's where we end up playing players out of position which does not help the manager.
29 Nov 2024 12:41:56
Youngblue I think we have the start of what could be a great side. I think we bring in the right players in January and we could be further along than we think. Add to that getting our injured players back and fully match fit and we could be so much stronger. In January for me we must bring in a CB as I don't think Propper is the answer. I'd look at English championship or EPL youngster. A 10 gor me there should only be 1 option and tgat would be Miller from motherwell and lastly a 9 that will get us goals. Shankland would be the low risk low cost option but I don't think he will be the answer. My team come January would be
Butland
Sterling. Souttar. New CB. Jefte
Raskin/ Barron/ Diomande any 2 of 3
Cerny. New 10. Bajrami
New 9.
29 Nov 2024 15:12:37
Bellshill, I don't think Bajrami should stay out wide I don't see any harm in sticking Danilo on that LW with Igamane up top and allow Bajrami to play more centrally. I watched him quite a lot last night and to me he looks frustrated by being put out there and prefers to drift inside to get involved more. I think we need a decent winger along with a solid CB, unless we sell one of our 10s like Hagi or Lawrence I think at that point your just wasting money where it's not needed.
29 Nov 2024 16:09:56
I’m not PCs biggest fan but anyone watching us stm can see he doesn’t have the tools he needs to compete at the top end. There is a lot of promise in this team in some areas but for me still needs a LCB, RW, LW, No 9 and 10. All starters to replace what we currently have. Maybe Danilo can be the 9, Barjami can be the 10 and Yilmaz can be the LW? Time will tell on that but currently the likes of Propper, Cerny, Dio and Dessers aren’t good enough.
Do might come good in time if he bulks up a bit and works on his passing, but not the others.
Even Cerny who has been one of our better players is far to predictable and his decision making is very poor.
29 Nov 2024 16:26:34
Cerny and Diomande are well good enough for our club zikos, on many occasions i think i must be watching a different players mate.
30 Nov 2024 08:35:32
Zikos I totally disagree with Diomande and Cerny. Think both are talented players and more than good enough for us. Think both would not only perform well for us but would make us good money when they moved on.
Youngblue I would sacrifice Bajrami staying wide if it means we bring in Lennon Miller as I think he is going to be special. I really think if we pay the 4 plus add ons we will easily make a fortune if he keeps developing as he has done.
30 Nov 2024 12:26:09
Yep sort out left wing, short term Jefte moved forward Bahrami inside, basic and obvious but the manager can't see it.
30 Nov 2024 14:28:53
Bellshill you'll probably know more than me mate but, I don't think the club would have signed Bajrami if Miller was a possibility. I think the ship has sailed on him unfortunately he will most likely end the season at Motherwell and go abroad in my opinion, unless we pay upwards of £5million which I can't see the club doing.
30 Nov 2024 14:51:10
My Star, Cerny is far too predictable and far too dependent on cutting into his left, even if it means running into trouble. Pay close attention to him and there is always loads of opportunities to run into space with the ball (on his right or centrally) and he opts to cut onto his left and into traffic.
He would be far more effective if he mixed it up a bit because you know what, he is quite handy with his right as well.
Seriously don’t want us to pursue him after his loan deal.
As for Dio, has got bags of potential, does lots of good work in games, turning with the ball, creating space e etc but far too often commits needless fouls, passes go astray and again decision making is poor and is easily forced off the ball. Like I said the lad has potential if he bulks up and works on his passing game but not a starter for me atm.
Hopefully he comes good.
