Does Koppens promotion pretty much end any talk of PC leaving? Reading other former players speak about his inability to change tactics in games or during a season is not encouraging. For a manager to say he won't change anything because it's too confusing to players is just bizarre, surely that's his job, especially when he is shoehorning players into positions and roles they aren't used to or comfortable playing.

Read the statement, it says that Koppen and Clement will report directly to the new CEO so Koppen is not Clements boss and not responsible for hiring or firing him. The main question is who decides on the players we are signing . If its Koppen then he should be fired if Clement is, for some of the duff signings in the last year.

The fact that Koppen was given this position shows that there is no CEO happening anytime soon as that should've been their job to appoint someone.

WSL - No credit then for the likes of Barron and Jefte who if they keep progressing look like pretty good buys and could net good sell on- just a downer on the guy I feel - cup half full or half empty I need to ask? I agree that there have been some signings who have not hit ground running but same as Gio and Bealeball before him regarding numerous iffy players signed- look at the market we are shopping in nowadays - and the amount of EXPECTED IMMEDIATE SUCCESS most fans are piling on this team at present - I personally would like more Scottish identity to the team/ squad but look at costs we are being quoted for young players - that's obviously why we are trying the so called cheaper/ foreign market.

BlueFloyd3, if you read my post it says some of the duff signings, Barron and Jefte are the only two I would say have been a success and it didn`t take much of a scout to spot Barron who was right under our noses. Kasanwirjo and Cerny have looked decent too, though it took a while with Cerny, and Bajrami may turn out to be good . We have wasted good money on Propper who is awful and completely unsuited to Scottish football, Diomanade who is a headless chicken in midfield and Igamane who wouldn`t get a game for the B team at the moment, that is nearly £8million that should have been invested properly . He also signed Nsiala who by all accounts is struggling in the B team, so, as I say, SOME of his signings have been duff and no help to Clements rebuild so why should only Clemant carry the can for the teams failure.

WSL - the teams failure goes back many a moon prior to Clement and Koppen - its the failure of our hierarchical structure which has caused the demise of our team/ club/ squad - Good businesses are led from the TOP and that's what we have been lacking for at least a decade - TRUE BUSINESS MEN AT THE HELM (not just guys who wear the club tie or are Rangers mean supposedly - REAL FOOTBALL BUSINESSMEN WITH BIG CLUB EXPERIENCE AND TRACK RECORDS! - unfortunately someone has to TRY and fix the mess left by years of neglect so let's toe it into those who are here at present who are running rudderless - REALITY NEEDS TO BITE - money needs spent at top structure to give fruits below eventually (wish I had that magic wand)
