I agree Fork. not saying posters need to give names but coming on and saying something is happening will lead to people saying it is rubbish. My post was meant to read bit cryptic and asking where the OP saw it as I can't find anything. In another post it says he is part of a group of 3 including Gilligan and that would be less worrying as most boards will not leave the decision making to one man.

I know it is a rumours site Storm and i'm not upset so don't need to simmer down. luckily enough someone put it in the site name so that people as stupid as I am can realise that. I have no issue with that. rumours come from different sources though. all I am asking is for the direction the rumour came from. I understand that this would be acceptable as well or is the only response allowed to be one adding to the doom and gloom of the original post. BTW still not had an answer to that so will assume the rumour is crap.

thanks to One Walter Smith in another thread I can now see where the rumour came from. Rangers Review run an article where there is mention of the collective running Rangers other than 1 voice. The only line which Park is mentioned says:
"Gilligan and George Letham are now the main figures at Ibrox, with RIFC plc director Graeme Park also contributing more closely to the running of the business. "
so contributing to the collective not having more control. different slant when you read the whole article.

OWS in both this thread and the other which you started to say Park was leading the recruitment of CEO I have credited you with giving your source.
My point in both of them was that we shouldn't overstate the part Park is playing from the 1 sentence in which he was mentioned. the RR story has 1 line on contributing to the running of the business.
I was posting the information on Park in the RR article so others could make their own mind up as to whether the article allows the interpretation that Park was taking more control or leading in the recruitment of CEO.
The RIFC board (who set the clubs strategy and have nothing to do with day to day running of club) and the football board (who oversee and implement the club's football strategy on a day to day basis) have different memberships. Only John Gilligan as acting Chairman is already on both boards, Letham on neither and Park on the RIFC Board. So at best since we have lost 2 of the football board, Jacobs and Robertson then the additional 2 will be taking up some of the slack I suggest.
about accuracy which is why I like to know where the source is so I can make ups. my own mind with all the facts.

no ows I don't but I do think it isn't wrong of me to ask the source and for you to say a mate down the pub told me. I then know that the rumour is highly unlikely to be true unless you drink in the same pub as Mr Gilligan. as you have been a contributor for years you will know re the forums concerns re our health and that there are those who will jump on any bad news and believe it.
BTW all I was asking for and pointing out was for you to do exactly as you suggest, i. e. to print exactly what you read; it was just one sentence.
not falling out about this. but again as you say Park has little credibility but in this case I think he has little influence on the process being discussed.

I don't take any of it personally tbh as it is a forum where everyone has opinions with mine just one of those opinions. Thanks Fork. no just that I can see both sides of an argument and will put forward the opposite more positive one to stimulate debate, mostly I agree with that opinion anyway. .
Do most not have their values already set and then they read a story which fits in with that so they put it forward as their opinion.
as I've said in the past I don't post to change people's opinions, just feel we all need to see both sides.
anyway too high brow and i'm away back to music discussion not the other pages, less contentious.
