Chris Jack just Kyboshed DK return to Rangers.
16 Sep 2024 19:49:16
Where does he say it won't happen, verification from the club?
"Dave King's hopes of a return to the Rangers boardroom have been dashed. Key investors remain committed to their shareholding and funding plans.
An update on the search for a chairman and chief executive following John Bennett's resignation"
Hopes dashed no confirmation
Just saying.

Thank god.
Now to keep park and co away and we might see progress.
16 Sep 2024 20:18:49
Fork. That's the polite way of saying the "Board says No". Too many Chiefs not enough Indians imo.
16 Sep 2024 20:28:06
Aye I get that Jasper, but the current incumbents are not exactly covering themselves or our club in glory bud.
16 Sep 2024 20:44:12
Don`t think Chris Jack has the power to put the kybosh on it . I know he is full of his own importance but he`s just a know nothing journo.
16 Sep 2024 20:52:06
I'm not convinced Jesper. Chris Jack's information seems to contradict the statement yesterday that the club was immediately embarking upon a robust process to recruit a CEO and Chair.
DK has support on the Board including amongst Non Exec Directors (who will be part of an election process) . He also has plenty of Directors against his appointment mind y.

they have no plan never mind a funding plan. Total discrace bunch of egos running our club and fans are just to put up with it.
They either back manager with funds or they the board move over they are holding us back.
16 Sep 2024 20:56:49
I agree, but they're not wanting another Lion in the den.
16 Sep 2024 21:07:54
Incumbents? going to need to Google that word fork ?.
16 Sep 2024 21:55:32
79sjt, having king involved with the club would open the door to outside investment something that Park Blocked at all costs the last time Americans came forward we need serious investment to catch up with them.
16 Sep 2024 22:12:18
Lol gers "those in residence mate"???.
16 Sep 2024 22:32:31
John had mentioned a while back about worrying times ahead and it looks like they have arrived. Not on the level of 2012, but worrying just the same.
16 Sep 2024 23:49:38
No it wouldn't Fraser. The board have to agree on external investment. The majority of the current board cannot stand King.
17 Sep 2024 00:20:54
Personally I'd like whoever is interested in running the club to be talking behind closed doors like serious people rather than gabbing away to tabloid media.
17 Sep 2024 00:59:39
Should've paid more attention in college, no wonder I barely broke even in my own business when I don't understand half the lingo ?.
17 Sep 2024 06:57:30
79 you mean the Parks, that's who needs to be gone, acting chairman and Bennett don't mind King.
17 Sep 2024 09:38:10
does anyone remember Ratners, the jewelry chain that was popular until the CEO when asked why it was popular stated that it was crap they sold which made it affordable. Closed down within a month of that statement. Moral of the story is you don't share certain things with the media and King should never have said what he said.
17 Sep 2024 09:41:15
Bit Harsh saying Chris jack is full of his own importance, he's actually a decent guy who has a genuine effection for the club, few and far between in the media, Chris jack one of the good guys.
17 Sep 2024 10:12:28
Good point gees.
17 Sep 2024 11:23:49
Bottom line,
King would have been better picking up the phone and speaking to in his words “The current incumbent’s” about what he can do to help in the current situation rather than running to the press.
I’m not saying King can’t help but IMO we could do with fresh leadership.
17 Sep 2024 11:40:00
Don`t know what a genuine effection is, but I read him quoted regularly as someone in the know and apart from obvious stuff nothing he says ever comes to pass . We get better information on here than we do from a supposed journo.
