John Halsted looking to gain controlling stake I am led to believe.
14 Sep 2024 15:59:54
There's definitely something in this one.
14 Sep 2024 16:13:39
Asa, potentially but he has in the past rejected opportunities to buy kings or parks shares as the money would not go to the club.
14 Sep 2024 16:13:53
I would like this to be true even though Bennet I want to still be there.
14 Sep 2024 16:51:22
Do you mean he maybe want to buy Bennett’s shares?
14 Sep 2024 17:00:54
Do you think there may be a softning approach now that we are in such a mess John.
14 Sep 2024 17:30:56
Asa, don’t know, board members have been clear they won’t line each other’s pockets, want money to go direct to club.
14 Sep 2024 17:31:49
G4 no I don’t, word out is Bennett has no interest in selling.
14 Sep 2024 17:34:10
The board have had the heart for the club but the mistakes have been many, if they had just went for it after 55 things would of been better and probably saved money in long run, selling to the right person is one thing they can’t make a mistake on.

Asathor
I was told back early summer investment would be coming around October possibly from Julian wolhardt and investors from Asia possibly being part of it
Not sure if it’s true or not
Do you see this possibly happening or heard it could happen around October?

How do new investors invest in the club? The only way is to buy spare shares because as has been stated if someone buys Kings or Parks shares the money goes to them not the club. Even if someone got enough shares to be in control its getting more and more difficult to just give the club money to spend. They would need to do it the Man City way and sponsor things at an inflated amount . Could start with Ibrox I suppose.
14 Sep 2024 19:45:38
Stigno that may still happen but there is also serious investment from Stewart Gibson and i believe John eluded to a certain JM that has significant standing in Scotland and US.

Gents,
I don't have a knowledge of these guys. I've done a quick search of Halsted and he appears to have a personal wealth of over 1 billion - pinch of salt applied.
Of the guys who know of these things- what are the pros and cons of Halsted making a move?
14 Sep 2024 20:19:31
The Club can issue more shares
Authority was given at AGM 2022
passed as special resolution
This would family improve the cash flow of the company.

The board is a shambles, there’s been zero transparency, and us the supporters get lead down the garden path! The replacement for bisgrove has been a shambles also. King coming out and backing bennet also really concerned me. Because I think he’s made a right arse of things!
14 Sep 2024 23:51:08
Fraser yep Bennett made an arse off it only gave us 30 mill, he would have made more interest elsewhere,
Fraser suppose u would know more than king wolthardt Gibson park halstead.

Correct widow,

A wealthy supporter is no less of a supporter.
15 Sep 2024 16:19:56
He's only got a couple of billion bucks is that enough? or will we ask the Easedales in as well if they are not too busy in Bogota?
15 Sep 2024 20:46:58
There is no doubt that he has put money into the club John, Does that make him exempt from questions from the supporters, there has not been transparency between the board and the fans and that has been contrary to what John Bennett has said in the past, the best in class statement always comes up aswell, could he not have came out and gave a general statement sooner about lack of funds, stadium etc.
Just because you have ploughed millions into a club does not mean that questions can’t be asked, and I’m not referring to the idiots mouthing off after the last old firm game.
I as a fan appreciate what he’s done financially with the club, but do I believe as a chairman he could have tried to create a better relationship with the support, yes. Maybe it’s the way it is but it does not mean that the support have to agree with it.
16 Sep 2024 14:37:39
Rose ale I. Business u can’t publicise everything, u have a responsibility to shareholders
Without Bennett et al where do u think we would be as a club.
16 Sep 2024 16:53:18
I believe Bennet has done a very good job and wish him well with his health situation. I would welcome King back in a short term basis to support the work started by Bennet. I trust King and he has best interest of the club at heart.
