New CEO announcement is imminent. Some concerns with the rumour surrounding Gillespie from St Mirren who has never held a paid role in football. His role as a charity CEO has recently come under scrutiny and there are rumours of financial irregularities which may not necessarily relate to his role of course.
Our Commercial Director, Karim Varani has told John Bennett he will be leaving.
Park Junior remains a real concern and a thorn in the side of the current board.
Evening times reporting the name of an English CEO currently working in Germany but he is seemingly pushing his own name into the media.
All off the pitch stuff, but some interesting things to watch.

The financial director leaving should we read much into that?
06 Sep 2024 21:47:05
Dodgy statement u r making re Gillespie
Park junior voted for by all the board members last five seasons.
06 Sep 2024 21:57:02
Sounds like an absolute disaster. So I beleive it 100%.
06 Sep 2024 22:23:43
Not saying it’s down to Gillespie John or that any irregularities have occurred however charity regulator looking into Kibble though. Nothing dodgy about that.
06 Sep 2024 22:28:08
Very easy to find media reporting which I hadn’t seen until today.
Park Junior is massively unpopular. No one I know close to the Board have a positive word to say about him.

Totally agree Ibrox4Me, graeme park is an absolute a**e piece of a man ?He lives of his DADDY'S reputation and thinks he can't be touched ?I've also heard he's a big problem in there and needs ousted somehow ?.
07 Sep 2024 01:48:37
SWS, I take it you know Graeme Park well enough to have come to the conclusion that he is an a**e piece of a man? Or maybe not?
07 Sep 2024 01:51:17
I think it’s Adrian Bevington, might be wrong, that is putting his name out there in a read between the lines way that he would take the job.
07 Sep 2024 08:06:52
Trust me hubby i know a gentleman who used to work at ibrox who knows graeme park very well my friend ?.

I posted earlier on an old thread that I had heard that the Easdale's were interested again, (although I doubt that their interest ever disappeared) . Rumour of a £40m+ acquisition. Rumours of a consortium definitely not going away and gaining momentum.
Also heard that current Rangers shareholders interested in increasing their shareholding and providing further investment.
This could solve the GP problem instantly!

On the Easdales, what happened with the 20 million shares that were allegedly returned to them In June/ July 23, anyone know.
07 Sep 2024 10:10:25
Berkshire, you think that could happen? Not sure about the Easdales due to previous links with the Fat Man. Think we need rid of Park and King tbh. I actually think we need a strong majority share like they have. They might not like him but look at the position they’re in and how they’re managed.

OWS, where does it say the Finance Director is leaving? the poster says Varani the Commercial Director is leaving, not the same thing . Guy replaced Bisgrove in that role and may well be one of his guys. People move on, the important thing is getting his replacement right. The CEO one is interesting, if we pick someone like Gillespie to me it points us in a direction that is more focused on domestic issues whereas someone like Bevington would show an ambition to be not just a voice in Scotland but abroad as well. Don`t know the people involved but I know which type of CEO I would pick.

An 'on the buses' consortium? "I 'ate you Butler " plus we could do more business with Colombia.
07 Sep 2024 10:24:36
More talk again of an American takeover.
07 Sep 2024 11:20:01
Ibrox4Me, I'm not sure about the Easdales but only because I don't know much about them other than what I see in the Media but there is no denying that they have the wealth and their net worth is going significantly by the year to push them up the UK Rich List. I am also told that they remain interested in taking a substantial shareholding in Rangers, and that they would be interested in being part of a wider consortium. Investment of £40m+ was mentioned.
Other names from the Scottish whisky industry have previously been mentioned but John would know better than me if that interest is still current.
I keep being told that existing shareholders, (not necessarily part of the current Board), are keen to increase their holding in the Club. That could include Gibson, again John has mentioned him previously and I would be interested in Halstead, especially if there was interest from Clearlake.

Good intel Berkshire. The conversation I had suggested that Letham doesn’t want to be Chairman but that doesn’t preclude any consortium investing. Think we need a significant change in direction and then a long period of stability.
07 Sep 2024 12:16:25
SWS, so you feel that because of second or third hand opinions that means it's ok to call someone an a**e piece. Says more about you than your 'pal' says about Park.
07 Sep 2024 13:45:40
Park jnr just another one who has achieved nothing and has things handed to him with very little effort from himself .
07 Sep 2024 14:26:53
The Easdales could get Morton in to Europe if they wanted to.
07 Sep 2024 14:46:34
With a chance that Chelsea consortium starting to crumble and the main man in charge of Chelsea potentially being bought out he is being linked with a takeover of Rangers.
07 Sep 2024 14:55:46
The old rascals are gangsters rumor again they are billionaires.
07 Sep 2024 15:19:00
Less talk more take.
07 Sep 2024 18:20:11
Wsl my mistake on commercial director as for a ceo concentrating on domestic success as opposed to more wider personally we must get our house in order and get back to winning in scotland because only then will we be of int further afield imo.
08 Sep 2024 09:14:27
So nobody knows.
08 Sep 2024 14:25:13
Id have the easdales as owners in a heartbeat. They're self made billionaires and support the club. If they were majority shareholders it would be massive compared to their previous time as minority shareholders. do we see many other billionaires wanting to buy in and keep the identity. They are worth crazy money bring them in.
08 Sep 2024 21:03:54
Livi do you forget they were involved with the fat man? Don’t want them anywhere near ibrox.
