Have to agree kaiser the biggest fee we've received this summer is the reported 1.5m for Goldson as for wages saved people need to remember we need to cut by 30% so it's not as though Cantwell or Goldson's wage will be spent in total that's why it's fanciful to think we've bid 7m for Whittaker or 7m for Spanish defender.
I accept we are where we are and needs must, but unless koppens has unearthed some real gems. It'll be a long time before we see the club selling players for the type of fee we got for Patterson or bassey or even Aribo.

2.5m for lammers Walter but your point stands we are horrible at selling players due to the crazy wages we give them they will never want to leave unless we pay them off or loan them and cover wages or accept terrible fees.

Another player with an appauling attitude! It's scary the amount of players we've lost to free transfers/ pitiful fees! As stated, we can only hope the scouting is bang on over the next few seasons as we are sadly miles behind in the way to run a football club!

Wow, that really is a terrible fee given his ability. That said, we're trapped between a rock and a hard place here and had to shift him on. For what its worth, I don't think Clement ever wanted him, but it's annoying we've brought in so little for him.

Lads we can talk about fees but the reality is if they’re duds for us and on far too high a wage who tf is going to take them? Getting them off the books is the most important part of it and the fees are a bonus for a lot of these guys. We’re not exactly a team thriving at the moment so I can’t imagine people lick their lips when they look at our squad. We’re in a transition and these are the kind of deals that need to happen. Let’s get our own house in order before we start looking at other peoples.

Unfortunate circumstances with Cantwell. Bottom line is he had to go and we have to an extent been backed into a corner.
I think PC knows he needs to box clever with transfers and ultimately get players in on more manageable wages (so they can be moved on more easily) . In our current climate this means a continued search across untapped markets, as the fees now being quoted for young Scottish talent seems to be going up rapidly…
Get it right today though and it will bear fruit tomorrow.

Last season we could spend 80% on wages this season 70%. That at the school I went to is not a 30% reduction
Mark loads on here complain we don’t get much for a player, but spend most their time telling us how crap they are

You're right John, we have to reduce ridiculous wages but we should also be able to bring in some transfer fees too. Big comploin letting players go out of contract but we letting them go for practically nothing anyway.
