Fabrizio Romano reporting we had a bid rejected for Almiera centre back Kaiky, €750k loan fee plus €7m and 30% sell on clause rejected.
Hoping a few players out and better quality in.
23 Aug 2024 08:03:16
Strange use of funds, I suppose if he's on low wages a bigger fee can be put up front. Hasn't really played much either. It would suggest moves are coming if true.
23 Aug 2024 08:05:02
Straight out of left field that one. The deferred transfer makes me worry a bit, but I suppose if we're moving players on in similar terms things could balance out.
23 Aug 2024 08:30:08
7m euro don't believe it.
23 Aug 2024 08:31:39
Rabbi played over 50 games in the Brazilian top flight before moving to Spain and he's regular so don't get not played much, remember he's only 20.
23 Aug 2024 08:33:15
This may mean we have offers in for Davies and or King
If there is, hoping Davies takes that offer this time.
23 Aug 2024 08:37:09
Hopefully that means we are confident of moving a few on.
23 Aug 2024 08:52:10
We should not be paying 7m euros for any player imo we have too many areas of the team that needs sorted so if we have which I doubt 7m avail I'd rather use it to buy 2 or 3 players.
23 Aug 2024 08:53:27
An exciting link and the rumours coming out the past couple days would indicate that some players will be moving on. Got to trust Koppen to do his job and back the manager. If we come out this window with Matondo, Cantwell, Hagi and someone like Davies out the door and a winger a centre mid and a centre half coming in then all of a sudden things look a lot brighter. The old firm likely comes too soon for us but then the silver lining is that the toughest fixture in the calendar is out the way until well into next year barring a draw in the cup.
23 Aug 2024 08:54:44
If true that tell us we want cb this window.
23 Aug 2024 09:25:41
My only surprise is looking at a hefty option on a young player with limited experience (if it was €2m I’d understand), who one would think would go into 1st 11 at prices quoted.
Does make me think we’ll see a lot of ‘offers for players’ floated about in the next 7 days. The one thing we can be sure of is that there will be a few left field deals done (going by summer so far).
23 Aug 2024 09:34:04
What are you even talking about. He played 22 games last season some of which weren't even starts. My point being if we splash that money on a CB you'd expect them to be first choice and playing getting experience.
23 Aug 2024 09:36:24
1 strange target 1 is the fee and the other is he was rumoured to be a Barcelona target and they were close.
23 Aug 2024 10:04:24
Good point rabbieburns also we all think Romano is the Don of transfers as our own ed posted other day he's hardly that and gets a lot wrong.
23 Aug 2024 10:14:30
Rabbi played over 50 games in Brazil and only 20 year old, just let Koppen do his thing.
23 Aug 2024 10:16:05
Stanley everything you have posted is negative.
Ows we aren’t paying 7 million euros. It was a loan so no guarantees the loan works.
23 Aug 2024 10:31:06
Interesting if true, but will we put this guy in the reserves as well, still waiting on Nsiala amd Igamane debut, what's the hold up?
23 Aug 2024 10:42:33
Storm the post also said 7m eiroa and 30% clause rejected.
23 Aug 2024 10:53:08
The board of grifters are now on creating a bloody net to protect celtic fans and horsing Gers fans out of those seats to accomodate these people. They just do not have a clue .
23 Aug 2024 10:59:55
I'm not saying I don't like the look of him I'm just saying it's a strange one to come out considering our needs in other areas. Obviously restructuring the wages will free up more money for transfers. We need to be signing these guys from source. Find the next Kaiky. I fully trust Koppen and Clement. I just fear they'll be forced out by the toxic element who don't understand how bad it really is.
23 Aug 2024 11:06:12
Moffat that's part of the agreement to get fans back in the stadium. You're the perfect example of someone that bites at every piece of mhedia propaganda. They've got your type on strings.
23 Aug 2024 11:24:22
Laudrup Nsiala played pre season and to say he looked raw is an understatement he’s going to be a bit of a project and hopefully comes along well like Bassey did.
Igimane I hope they are just being very cautious with and we’ve not bought a complete dud, very surprised he’s not even featured in any b team games at all.
23 Aug 2024 11:25:04
There is genuinely no pleasing rangers fans. Not spending anything and then we are linked with a 7m CB and people complain it’s too much. I’d rather we got one good player than 3/ 4 average players spread around 7m that didn’t improve us. Quality over quantity every day o ( the week.
23 Aug 2024 11:29:03
There is absolutely no way that we are spending that kind of up front loan fee with a high buy fee and huge sell on for a position that is not a priority right now. Is the boy worth that, maybe but we buy him then we are effectively done for the window and I don't buy it.
23 Aug 2024 11:33:22
Oh is that right Rabbi, I do know your type and will ignore now. It ain't propaganda kid they have applied to the council, go check or ask your mum to do it. But mainly just run along and get lost.
23 Aug 2024 11:35:47
To get bogtrotters in to the stadium and that's the point soft lad.
23 Aug 2024 11:53:43
Some kiddies think they know better than Koppen they just come on here with constant negative comments, possibly Declans .
23 Aug 2024 12:04:17
We need players who can go straight in to the First Team. We have enough "projects".
23 Aug 2024 12:05:06
Big blue how will a 750k loan fee mean we are done? If we can get rid matondo Davies Hagi cantwell we will
Replace them.
23 Aug 2024 12:06:45
Why is it negative? Because we won't pay 7m euro? We won't so suck it up. If we were willing to pay that we would have got rhamani so whatever his name is.
Plus I posted yesterday about Kent coming back so not all negative?
You just post bs all the time, what's your excuse?
23 Aug 2024 13:10:12
Definitely agree with you Wishy, we use that €7m to buy 2/ 3 players we'll end up with another 3 matondo's (for example) and the fans chasing them all out the club saying not good enough should never have been bought. I feel like we should be making at least 1 "marquee signing" a season, someone we should be able to rely on to perform and drag those around him as well.
Whether that's a commanding centre back, dominant midfielder, creative winger or predatory striker I don't care as long as they turn out to be the best in the league. right now, all those categories are filled by celtic players and they've paid a bit of wonga for the likes of carter-vickers for example.
23 Aug 2024 13:11:36
Some are never happy, we've been screaming out for a young pacey CB for years, and here's one with first team experience at a decent level.
I trust Koppen, hope we get him.
23 Aug 2024 13:19:08
We can't get enough good players but a 20-year-old centre half at 7 million euros eventually doesn't seem like a smart move. We have just signed a 19-year-old centre half who can't get near the first team and we are supposedly looking for more experienced players with the little money we have.
A deal like that is just leaving us short of cash next summer unless we make the CL or there is something happening that we don't know about financially.
23 Aug 2024 13:30:51
This sounds like bull to me and username a new account.
23 Aug 2024 13:44:25
Ows I know but it wasn’t an obligation to buy so you don’t need to pay it.
23 Aug 2024 13:57:25
Can you name one other person who with a better track record for transfers?
23 Aug 2024 14:12:36
"Mhedia propaganda" types nonsense in anger with a lump hammer and wants safety for ra celtic fans.
23 Aug 2024 14:20:42
Yes over 70 games in very good leagues, hasn't played much according to one know nothing contributor.
23 Aug 2024 16:05:28
Do you read posts Stanley or is yer Celtic bonnet fell over ure eyes, no one saying we are paying 7m this season.
23 Aug 2024 16:09:45
Moffat you're arguing with yourself pal. The netting is part of the agreement to get fans in the stadium. And you're getting riled up about it like it has just come out of the blue because you've read a headline. Get a grip. Absolute melt.
23 Aug 2024 16:13:45
You've got zero idea on what context is, not surprising looking at your posts. If it were them across the city that deal could make sense. But we've hardly got a pot to piss in and we're signing a project for almost £7 million including loan fee.
23 Aug 2024 18:01:29
WSL if a team is rejecting 7.7m for him tells you he’s a good player no? How can you compare it to nsiala who had never played a first team game before?
23 Aug 2024 18:38:09
WishyBear do you honestly believe that committing 7million euros for a 20 year old centre half who hasn`t played that many games at top level is the best use of what little money we have at the moment. Its easy to compare them as they are both project signings, only one cost nothing and has time to develop and the other costs millions at a time where we can`t give him time. We could get a far more first team ready centre half for a lot less than that and by the way we don`t have that kind of money anyway. Any rumours linking us with players at those kind of fees are bollox and should be ignored.
