At current rate of exchange he wants £1.7m as a signing on fee and £43k a week which is not extortionate for a quality striker. It's an interesting one. He is probably better than Colak but then I see Colak as a replacement for Itten and Botheim would be a first 11 player. I really don't see it happening unless Morelos was to be sold and I would much rather we keep Morelos.
Of course there is always a deal to be done. I seem to remember that we did a deal with Boumsong some years back and perhaps something similar would work if we considered him good enough!

i played football for 3 different clubs, all in lower leagues and didn’t ever come across anyone demanding a certain figure, but it probably happened further up the league, i find this guy greedy, if what’s reported is true, it’s very unusual for any player who makes clear what he wants to play football, if he has said this then who could see him anything other than greedy

Made a slight mistake there with my post above, i had brought his wages down to 30k so giving him 3.5m signing on fee and his wages would then be 1.5m a year so 5m to get back for him, then a very good profit after a season for him (possibly keep) and the 30k would not upset the dressing room, what do you all think of that kind of deal? but 100% our finance experts will no better than me, but think this could be a good deals for very good bosmon.

Tjrfc I get where your coming from but you have to be carefull who you change the wage structure for. Should never be for a guy just coming in the door that has not prooved himself yet as if he fails you have a high price flop hard to offload and all other players want a wage rise we have to be sensible. If he had came in and scored a bucket load and his deal was coming to an end then breaking a wage structure to keep a top asset is fair enough. but I repeat we have to be carefull.

My shock when a player turns down multiple European clubs for Russia.
He may be a good player but I don't want a player at Rangers who wants to take it easy. Moving to Russia instead of challenging yourself in Germany says a lot about how little work he wants to put in.
All for players looking to get the best deal and secure their future but he's a massive Red flag.
