I was speaking to someone I know from within the Scottish set up and she said we've made approaches for 3 SPL players who are involved in the Scottish set up - I assumed they'd be youth players for the Bs- but wonder if Clark is one of them?

You would be trading a player with bigger potential for a guy who is a similar standard now. but mccrorie has years on him and is club grown. McLaughlin should start the season as No1 mccrorie as no2 and get cup games. Mcgregor as no3 but every tio No1 if McLaughlin turns out to be not good enough.

I would have liked to see McCrorie get his chance. I like the boy and thought he did great when he came in. I remember when McGregor first started as number 1 not everyone was convinced. Probably in a minority I know ?.

McCrorie to Aberdeen could be good business by us, as I imagine we'd have a buy back option, so would give him an opportunity to go and test / prove himself.
If that was the case Clark would make sense as a backup, but would imagine he'd want first team football.

@john Clark been on Rangers' radar for a LONG time, one of the many players on the list Ross Wilson mentioned a while ago. But not heard a thing about him being an immediate plan. May well have changed with McCrorie likely moving out. But can confirm Aberdeen are very interested in reuiniting the McCrorie twins. Just can't quite fathom why we let Siegrist slip through.

John 25 I know it's a bit out there and I'd have McGregor in for a couple years still but do you want a situation where McLaughlin gets annoyed at no game time and wants to leave and McGregor decides he has to retire too at the same time ? and for all we know McGregor could go to coaching Side and still register in case of emergency. Might not be this year but good option to have and he qualifies for that domestic trained as we've both mentioned too. what I'm getting at would it make sense to have a foreign third choice when an older club trained option.

Zander Clark was a Rangers pro youth player and played along side my son at the time, he was a smashing goalkeeper but was released because of his height, he is now 6'2/ 6'3, but although being friends with his family I regret to say I don't think he is the quality Rangers require.

McLaughlin has been happy to sit on the bench since he arrived at Rangers which doesn't show a lot of ambition. I still see McGregor as first choice unless we bring in another quality keeper. I hear the arguments that they fight it out for the 1st Team Jersey or that McLaughlin gets the jersey until he makes a mistake. My worry is that McCrorie will move on, we won't bring in a quality keeper and all the concerns that have been mentioned regarding McGregor and McLaughlin will come back to haunt us with no quality replacement on our books.
I am still hoping that we sign Buckland!

I know Robby personally and there is no way he will sign for Aberdeen even if his twin brother is there. If Robby is leaving it will be for down south. On a side note Zander Clark is a very underrated keeper and a good Rangers man.
