From what iv read a deal for skov Olson not even close. I know we're skint but if we stand still we're in danger of allowing an average celtic win this league.

I agree we didn’t spend on transfers in the last window we brought players in but we’re they better or as good as we had, this window we have brought in Sands who did ok on Tuesday but if Davis Arfield and Aribo were available I doubt he would have played yet, now Alphie will be unavailable for Celtic game and maybe others our squad is looking a bit threadbare, I know we haven’t got a huge transfer budget but Gio did say there was money there so I hope it’s used soon to not only strengthen the team but give the players a lift.

Totally agree onewal I'm hoping it's a case of Rangers playing chicken with Bologna to see who blinks first but thinking it might be a one in one out policy. Which is stupid when chasing 40million with what was a 6 point lead now 4 who knows if we acted quicker we might have had a decent player in and won v sheep.

Twacoos we did spend did you forget that we bought Bacuna. Were going to have to spend sooner rather than later to replace players like Davis Arfield and potentially jack if he struggles to fully recover.

Fraser Bacuna fee is appearance based with a large sell on fee so considering he’s hardly played I doubt we’ve paid much so far and as I said I’d he any better than we had, we need one or two players who will play not players who just fill the bench we need player who will contribute to our performance.

One Walter, I've been consistent saying we will not sign anyone for first team this month, not one that costs money anyway.

100% agree. This season is absolutely massive for the club. A winger and attacking midfielder are a must and asap.

I think the problem is like was said earlier that we haven't got a big budget so strengthening the first 11 is going to prove difficult when likes of Kamara and Aribo, Kent etc are fit. We are going to have to be innovative probably and every transfer regardless what we pay is a risk especially if the players isn't used to the rigours of the SPL. Massive period coming up and whilst I have faith I am a bit nervous. Any thoughts?

I Don’t think we should be buying players for large fees in this window. To be honest SG left because he wanted the funds that the premier league gives you not what Scottish football gives you. I’ve said it before we should not be spending to chase that champions league cash. Our model has to be develop and sell. We have 12m in the bank and we could quite easily bring in another 30 million in sales in the summer. That’s the time to spend it. I think with the right approach we could enhance the team for a lot less.

Bacuna was signed because we couldn't afford Veerman. Another one that has came from the lower leagues in England that hasn't worked.

Sweep 1. We wanted Veerman without unloading any players. All the players we brought in were on the budget we could afford without unloading any players. That’s the Advocate days all over again This team when most are fit are good enough to win the league. If not I question their desire because I believe some want to move on. 3 Goalkeepeers, 8 defenders 8 midfielders ( including wingers) 4 forwards. That’s a squad of 23. That’s plenty. And that’s without any youngsters. We should have sold and refreshed in the summer with quality. That was the mistake. Gio knows how he wants to play but at the moment Sands and a pre-contract Soutar is it. Would like him to have time to build as Stevie had 3 years and I believe some of the players won’t suit his system.

I understand we aim to get to a position where we sell player for profit reinvest and balance the books but we are nowhere near that yet, I read on here wed beat Aberdeen 3-1 4-1 3-0 all fantasy scores some I laughed at, but we didn’t we were very poor lack of creative midfielders one great ball from Kent then very little from wide players we missed Aribo to create Davis to control the midfield and Arfield to get into the box to help the strikers, if our players all remain fit and no call ups we have a very good first eleven, yes we have a good sized squad but how many are up to the job? we have recruited on a shoestring for the last few windows bringing in player in free transfers who have struggled yes you may get a diamond every now snd then but most have been bench warmers, we have sold Patterson snd brought another free in though I thought he was ok on Tuesday, the away game to Celtic is huge and the lift one or two new faces would make considering the players we will be missing could be crucial.

I've got to say I think it's harsh to judge Bacuna as he's not had much Opportunity in my opinion, I personally think the boy has something about him, he has a great turn an drop of the shoulder and can ping a ball an see a pass, looks like he could have great drive too ( just described a worldie 🙈) he was actually very unlucky he played his best game for us an then the break came then Gerrard left, he looks like he can shoot from range too which we badly miss at times, he needs to play that bit further forward for me, our squads a bit bare at the minute but if we can get most back in an fit and hopefully get in a couple of right good players before it shuts it could make a massive difference to the team and squad mentality.

I'm hoping the Olsen thing not dead it just seams like Bologna or Italian press putting a lot of false rumours out about bids from us and from brugge when I don't think anyone has bid at all. Bologna in dire position financially and trying anything they can to get someone to bid but most clubs now want loan to buy in this climate especially for a guy who is not a first teamer for Denmark or Bologna and has went backwards in Italy. Maybe test resolve if he hasn't moved in 4 or 5 days 3.5 million.

Skov Olsen ain't coming to Rangers. If he prefers a loan move to Belgium rather than a permanent move to us then I'd rather not fork out the kind of money it would cost to sign him.
