Some reports (not sure how true these are) suggesting that bologna are waiting up to £8m for Olsen with no loan to buy option. If that’s the case then it’s tough to see us spending that just now. I hope these reports are wide of the mark but who knows during the January window.

If that's the case Dado, we can't in my opinion compete with that.
Move on find another young player in the 5 mill range, seems be our limit.

07 Jan 2022 08:54:35
I agree BAR72, as much as i want skov olsen at rangers £8million at this stage is way too much for us imo🤔Ah well, we'll just have to move on😞.

07 Jan 2022 09:29:02
If true 8m out of our price range, sure I read couple weeks ago the young boy from anderlecht we were looking had around 3.6m buyout clause more our price range if Olsen doesn't happen for us.

07 Jan 2022 09:36:24
It may well be but more often than not these are made in instalments, similar to Kent. So I wouldn’t rule anything out, although it certainly suggests it’s more unlikely, from what I understand Bologna need the money, so who knows.

£8m too much regardless of payment profile for me. we need players we can sell at a profit and £8m means we would need a huge fee to make anything. I think would be a great signing at the right price however.

07 Jan 2022 10:12:44
They can ask what they want it is if anyone will pay that. That fee is too much for a player that has not had a great season and wants to leave.

07 Jan 2022 10:16:18
How is it hendo.
6 goals in his five World Cup qualifying plus 4 assists.

07 Jan 2022 10:41:06
We ain't selling Patterson and punting most of the money back on a right winger. Makes absolutely no business sense whatsoever.

07 Jan 2022 10:46:40
I’ll make a bold claim they ain’t getting 8 million for Olsen 😂😂.

07 Jan 2022 10:54:33
What's your take on it John25,do you think we'll still sign skov olsen mate🤔.

07 Jan 2022 11:35:38
I doubt very much we will spend 8m on a player? Also, the 8m might be with add ons etc, which we might agree to. For example, winning league this season and reaching CL proper. That would guarantee the sort of money that we could spend 8m on a single player. At this moment, we have no idea how much they want for the player, how much we can afford, or, in fact, If we are actually in for him?!

07 Jan 2022 11:50:22
I would be suprised if they were looking for 8m for him. He’s not been playing regularly for them and he has admitted he is struggling there. I would think they would be prepared to accept around 5m. Or as close to what they paid for him!

07 Jan 2022 12:21:00
A bid of €8M makes more sense from the figures that have been circulated. Out of all the players that we have been linked with he excites me the most and we have been crying out for a natural RS Fwd for a while.

07 Jan 2022 13:06:28
That’s about 6.6 million in English pounds.

07 Jan 2022 13:10:26
S cov Olsen being used as wing back in Italy hence his stats this season. Look at his stats for Denmark! The boys a player no doubt about that!

07 Jan 2022 13:37:55
The reports suggested £8m not euros. I don’t think (or Suggesting) we’ll pay that sort of money. I think this will just be part of the game we’ll need to play if we are in for him - I’m not even sure we are. I remember when clubs were looking at Hickey bids were being reported around £4 then they wanted £12m…. let’s just see what happens.

07 Jan 2022 13:52:21
8s not to much, we paid 7 for Kent who couldn’t get a game for Bristol city, Olsen was in the semi final of the euros 😂.

07 Jan 2022 13:55:29
Walter time will tell.

Guys, I posted something similar yesterday that came from folks I know in Copenhagen. The comments came from folks that used to work for me in the Financial Services Sector, (not Football Sector) . They reckoned that FC Copenhagen were also interested in Olsen and that he would not be allowed to leave Bologna on loan this month. If he is to leave then it would be a permanent transfer and the price would need to be more than €7m. This is Business guys commenting, not football guys!

07 Jan 2022 15:04:23
I think spending €8 million on a starter for his country heding to the world Cup is worth the gamble.
If he nd Denmark have a good WC in December then his stock will quadruple. Also would be playing CL should we win league. Its worth the gamble imo.

07 Jan 2022 16:09:28
You can't expect clubs to take Bologna serious the buy the guy for 5.5 million euro roughly andd after 2 years have pretty much set his club career back to zero as well as risk his national standing. They can't then expect to get 8 million pounds Italian teams always so this the big front offer them 3 million up front and 2 in instalments take it or leave it . Copenhagen not going to pay anywhere near that and he don't think they would accept Turkish bod as they never pay on time or sometimes even pay at all.

07 Jan 2022 16:10:38
NRD if that GAMBLE you want to take then offer could be insentive or sell on based.

07 Jan 2022 16:52:38
Only reports I have seen said between 7-8 million euros.

07 Jan 2022 17:50:18
That's apparently what the selling club are looking for, we start with a lower bid, test the water, and if Bologna need the money and there isn't much of a bidding war they'll either accept a bid slightly less than their asking price or have an unhappy player on their hands until summer at least. A clubs asking price and the actual price of a transfer are more often than not two different numbers.

07 Jan 2022 18:07:24
They seem to be in for Ramsey of Aberdeen so can’t need the money that much.

07 Jan 2022 18:52:19
How many times have we been told we don’t need to sell, so by same account we could spend on one player. I’m not saying we will.

Skov is a cracking player and if both Laudrups back that up then 8m euros wouldn’t be ridiculous.

I don’t think 8m will be the figure particularly if it’s us Copenhagen and Hoffenhiem looking. Although the Germans may very well have that kind of money.
