If this is true, it would be a good move all round. I had high hopes for him, but I just don't see him fitting into how Gio plays. He's far from a poor player, and If Boro play a style that suits him, he'll do well. I would rather sell him, but understand If it is a loan.

Lundstram has done very little wrong imo. Personally feel he's a decent player. He may not be in Gios plans tho.

Decent player at a time where he can't get in the team but on a free with boro paying wages or a % is good business you would think he would do well with a transfer fee seems decent.

He was excellent for previous club. He’s been sound for us with one or two below par performances.
Could do without him for sure was valued at £6/ 7m so he’s certainly decent. If you don’t like him fine but he’s a decent player.

Lundstrum was free and when played has put in some terrific performances so if he don't fit in to gios plans then good luck to the guy and hopefully we get a few million.

For me lundstrum has struggled to adjust to high possession football as at Sheffield United he chased the ball most of the game. As a sitting midfielder he ticks all the boxes for me and showed he has quality when he got a wee run of games. Great when we play 2 sitting. His biggest problem is that Kamara is the best in the country in that position IMO and lundstrum isn't going to take the jersey. Like couple have said I would prefer a sale. Like John said an offer of 7 million was made a year ago. I would like closer to 5 for him. Excellent business if we can get a few million for him just now.

It hasn't worked out for Lundsrum at Rangers unfortunately. He was a good player at Sheffield United but as I have said before, he was used to playing for a Team that by design were generally defensive. At Rangers it is the very opposite and we need players with a mindset of winning. I hope that Lundstrum goes to Middlesborough where I suspect he would be a success and that we make some money in the process. Getting him off our wage bill and a couple of £million in a transfer fee would be a very good move for all parties!

I haven't been watching enough football outside Rangers to comment on that John25. I've been working 50 hours a week the past 18 months and along with having 2 young boys to take up my time Rangers and Scotland games is all I watch. The one thing I would say though is I don't like signing players with bad injury records. Personally I'd throw everything at resigning Goldson because the guy hardly misses a game and has his heart in it again.
