Really would like to keep Morelos until the summer at least but 20m is top dollar for him. Don't think we will see bids like that for him in the summer unless we could get him to sign a new deal.

I would rather offer him a new, improved contract then punt him in the summer. 20m is a lot of money to knock back, but is it enough to bring in a replacement that offers what Alfie does?!

That is some price John, hard not to see us accepting that. Newcastle would probably be a better fit as hell more than likely get a crack at the championship next season, that’ll help him find his feet in England.

As much as I love Alfie and his contribution to the team, 20m is probably a lot more than we expected as IMHO i thought we would be lucky to get 10-14 million for him. So here is hoping John. I'm positive we could replace Alfie very quickly. been a good servant to the club.

About time we started to see bids that are worthy of our players. That is a real worry even at £20m since I don't see us having an adequate replacement currently at the Club. Had heard the rumour reference Everton but nothing concrete from the folks I know up in Liverpool that confirmed Patterson.
I heard before Christmas that Leicester City were interested, I wonder if they are the 3rd Club?

If the rumours are true then we will see the boards ambition. I will admit that £20 million would be hard to turn down but it’s a massive gamble bringing in a striker to replace a guy who is settled and knows how we play. We need to keep Alfie and Aribo till the summer. Kamara can be replaced so if we sell anyone it could be him.

I have asked the folks that I know in the North West if they have heard anything reference Everton and Morelos and they haven't heard anything. They have also said that Newcastle want Aubameyang from Arsenal and appear to be confident that they will get him so I doubt that the Morelos story is anything other than rumour or malicious gossip from the usual sources North of the Border that are desperate to see him leave Rangers!
