Apparently helander has spoken to a Swedish teammate about moving back to his boyhood club Malmö.

I’ve been sayin for a week maybe 2 I think helander could be the 1 to make way for a new centre back in the summer. Although he cost us around £4m and I would want that back for him. Don’t know that Malmö could afford that kind of fee. Unless there is a player exchange involved?

Don’t get me wrong he is a good defender but his lack of pace gives me the fear every time I see him play.
Can’t see us getting that much for him but who knows it could also be BS.

Helander far better than balogun imo.
I will be surprised if balogun remains at the club past this season.
In no way is that having a dig at balogun though, he is also more than capable and his pace helps him out alot, however he is poor at defending crosses and is right sides so upsets the balance of our back 4.

KJA9, you started this whole thread with a post written in such a way as to suggest Helander is looking to leave. You’ve now stated (correctly) that during a general interview he mentioned he’d like to finish his career where he started, at Malmö, along with an old team mate. Way to go creating a story out of nothing! 😂. He’s only 27, long way to go before he’s looking to ‘finish his career’. No story to see here. As for who’s the better defender? Both of them have been very good this season, Helander better in the air and prob reads the game better, Balogun more pace and bit better with ball at his feet, both good in the tackle. There was a stat mentioned the other day though that said something about us not having conceded a league goal when Helander’s has been on the pitch since September, which ain’t bad.

It's all about opinions. I prefer Helander but Balogun is also decent. I just think Balogun chases the ball and isn't positionally aware. Helander gives great balance and he reads the game really well.

Hellander is a great reader of the game and very rarely gets compromised for pace as his positioning is superb.

Colin katic doesn’t start in front on any of them and he never really did before his injury so can’t see it changing.

Unless Katic has had a full transplant and is now Richard Gough, he won't be in front of the current three. If any centre back is to go it will be him (along with Edmondson of course) .

Like i've said before regarding helander and balogun its horses for courses between the two, on who partners goldson, regarding who we're playing against! I like both, but there's no doubt for me that helander is the better defender and better reader of the game ðŸ‘
Balogun has more pace which of course is essential in some games ðŸ‘
So both play a big part for us.

Well I believe goldson will be 1st choice Rcb balogun backing him up. I believe Simpson and 1 of helander and Katic on lcb
Hellander could be sold. If he’s kept katic will go out on a season long loan with Edmundson like loaned out for 6 month then sold for £1m katic will then be back to challenfe for his place for a year and if doesn’t do that moved on.

Helander not blessed with great pace but a far more natural defender than Balagun and probably Goldson.
He’s brilliant in air in both boxes, very brave, string and reads game well reminds me of Davie Weir.
His lack of pace means it’s good to rotate with Balagun against teams with really quick attackers but I personally think away to Porto, Celtic and Hibs tonight show you how valuable he is and I personally think he’s under rated and appreciated by some sections of support.

Personally I don't think we have to worry about players wanting away in the summer if we win the league they will want to have a crack at champions league football the biggest club competition there is and will have a taste for success only way anyone will go if the offer is to good for the board to refuse but these players know they will never get a club like rangers again in there careers.
