I was told tonight by a fellow fan who knows scott arfield that our medical team are seemingly concerned over ryan jack's recurring injury 👎The word i'm hearing is our medical team think this injury will continue to rear its ugly head for the remainder of jacko's career 😞 It will need to be controlled and from time to time jack would need to sit out spells within a season with this/ whatever injury he has 👎 There's concerns he might not be able to play a full season for the remainder of his career, with this injury problem he has 🤔If this is indeed the case and i hope to god it's not, its terrible news for jacko! He's a midfielder i rate highly and would always have a place in our midfield!
Its worringly sad news if this indeed is the case! Feel so sorry for jacko ðŸ™Maybe this is why it looks like we're stepping up our interest in john lundstrum in january 🤔
Also being linked strongly with lewis ferguson again, makes you wonder guys 🤔.

Yeah that if true would be sad news indeed SGL I rate Jack and think he is a player that potential to improve even more under Gerrard. His injury record is certainly a concern and think we need to consider another alternative. I would have hoped Zungu might have been a potential alternative but so far yet to be convinced too early to make a final conclusion on Zungu but at present looks a long way off what we get from Jack.

This type of injury can be irreparable and will probably damage his long term career unfortunately, I played with a couple of guys who had long term back and knee injuries which stopped them for months at a time, there’s a lot more like him out there believe me, and I was with frank mcdougall at park head after Aberdeen had ripped up his contract and he had retired, if the Celtic doctor had allowed it then Frank was to sign for them, the doctor said no, the damage to his back was not fixable nor workable, so yes SGL, it could well be career threatening.

SGL it’s no secret that Ryan has issues with his knees and SG himself has said in the past they need to be careful of how they play him. I’m sure Ryan Jack will be back in the team soon doing what he does best and put that bit of dig back in our side that’s been missing from the midfield past few weeks ðŸ‘.

There are many great players who never saw their careers through due to injury. If it is true for Jack then I hope he manages it, so he doesn't cripple himself and miss out on things in later life.

Coops, this stacks up given Steven's recent press conference when he said it was a concern. This is bad news and I can only hope for a better outcome than the experts are inferring. Ryan would be hard to replace. We certainly missed his dig yesterday.

I’m stunned some think it’s news re Jack. The lad has missed multiple games since early Aberdeen days due to knee, calf injury. SG says that’s why he is managed.
It’s also why no interest from English clubs for a player who carries significant injury issues.

John25 not red herring that overplayed by scotland. During last international break played 12/ 11 Serbia, 15/ 11 Slovakia and 18/ 11 Israel. We all know Jack been carrying an injury for years and his condition needs to be carefully managed. No coincidence that has only managed 60 minutes for us since last international break.

He has had these problems for a good while, they aren’t going away and have been managed by our medical and coaching staff. The issue hasn’t gotten worse it’s just the recovery time that is a concern and that won’t improve through age or with further wear and tear. The euros are going to affect a lot of players post season recovery and def not what Jack’s body needs!

Has SG not already made this public. I'm sure jack got injured with scotland possibly after the last old firm last year maybe. Anyway SG came out and said Jack has a permanent knee injury that he manages it by using a specific training regime designed by our medical team. Sure he also said there would be flare ups if knocks happen or overuse.

Yes John mate I meant he will probably retire from Scotland if he’s not fit enough to fulfil his club obligations belshill lad. Let’s hope he can manage his problems and do both but it’s not looking great is it? Every time he goes away with Scotland he comes back injured or gets injured very quickly after returning.
