Steven Gerrard in an interview last night stated he will and is currently active in the transfer market, of trying to sign a different type of striker from morelos and defoe and a centre half to replace the injured katic.

When he strongly says a different type of striker to compliment what morelos and defoe already bring in that department, we all know that means a big strong, powerful target man. We keep getting linked with 3 of this type that wouldn't cost a lot of money.

The 3 are lyndon dykes, sam cosgrove and steven fletcher. Hypothetically speaking fellow bears, if it HAD to be one of these 3 target men we signed, who would you prefer from the 3 fellow bears? 🤔.

Has to be Dykes for me and only if less than a million.
Fletcher, never been prolific and no financial benefit. Cosgrove is way over valued.

19 Jul 2020 09:22:42
SGL I wouldn't sign any of them personally.

19 Jul 2020 09:23:54
It won’t be one of those 3 and I wouldn’t want any of them. None of them are good enough.

19 Jul 2020 09:27:18
No truth that were are actively after any of them. There has been zero contact with livi for dykes. Granted if morelos stays its going to end up being someone in this mould who is happy to come in as bascially 3rd choice striker.

19 Jul 2020 09:51:45
If it had to be any of these I would say Cosgrove as he is different but still prolific.

19 Jul 2020 10:01:47
Jsijenkins . if you take away his goals from the penalty spot is Cosgrove really that prolific Dykes for me is a better bet.

19 Jul 2020 10:09:29
SGL - 'wouldn't cost a lot of money'?
I would wait and see, once the Gers come calling an extra '0' gets added to the price.

19 Jul 2020 10:13:48
Twacoos you have just gave me more belief in Cosgrove, how many penalties did we miss last season.

19 Jul 2020 10:57:25
I'd prefer someone other than those 3 mentioned. I'd like to think the club is looking further than the SPFL and the championship for prospective signings.

19 Jul 2020 11:09:53
If it had to be one of those three, I'd have to say Dykes. Although I don't think SG is looking at any of those three.

19 Jul 2020 11:22:22
Would like to see someone terrific in the air. The amount of corners we get and set pieces would be great to take advantage of that, Katic seemed to be our best option, Goldosn wins his share but normally off target. Anybody 6 foot 4 plus who knows where the net is.

19 Jul 2020 12:49:37
Agreed. Would give us a different option.

19 Jul 2020 13:48:25
We are not going to sign any of these three simply because they are not good enough! And there is nothing to suggest we are going to sign such a type of striker, we know nothing of the sort. There are many different types of striker and I trust the management team to find the one they think we need.

19 Jul 2020 14:01:33
would like to see someone faster than our two and a target man.

19 Jul 2020 15:21:52
SGL why do you persevere with this debate. if its true it will happen, but nothing you say and no matter how many times you ask the same question over and over will influence the outcome.

19 Jul 2020 15:50:22
Target man sorely needed.

19 Jul 2020 17:23:51
Sgl out of the 3,dykes.

19 Jul 2020 18:02:31
When have we constantly been linked with steven fletcher? I've saw his name once and it was on here. Dykes only one out the 3 I would touch.

19 Jul 2020 19:04:26
You should be able to get both Lyndon Dykes and Sam Cosgrove for around the 3m mark

I think Rangers should be aiming higher though if I'm gonnae be honest! No more than squad players.

19 Jul 2020 19:05:33
Keep fletcher away from us he's one rat I don't want near the club. plus he's crap.

19 Jul 2020 20:35:15
Personally would sign both Dykes and Cosgrove.

Think a 2 man pairing of either one of those guys and Morelos would run riot against anyone in this league!

19 Jul 2020 22:27:40
Im a fan of Cosgrove.
