I’d like to think if we sign another CB it’ll be one with a lot more experience maghoma he might be decent but at 22 I doubt he’s ready to walk in and improve the back 4 witch is what I think is required.

We seem to sign young players as they’re cheaper with sell on value and 33 and over who have experience. Obviously there’s others we have signed in between but our main strategy does seem to be young and cheap with potential with some older heads like Davis, Shagger and Defoe.

KJA9 I think what we are lacking at the back is experience a leader! despite Goldson being 27 he’s no leader helander 26 was new to the team but I never saw a leader in him either and imo a new signing at the age of 22 will not come in and lead the line at the back either I may be wrong it’s just my opinion.

KJA9 Ok I never said it on the first post but I’ve said it plenty times before and so have many others on here, IMO we don’t have a leader at the back and we do need one. Do you know this maghoma? Are you saying that we should definitely go out and get him? That he will definitely walk into the team? I don’t know of him I’m just saying that I think we should get a more experienced CB a leader! And apologies helander turned 27 in April 🙄.

This boy has something our back 4 is sorely lacking, pace. Reading about him he is big, strong, good in the air, can defend and fast. Was at spurs so can assume he has something about him and only 22. And free could be good bit of business.

We need pace in our defence, especially at European level. Also, defenders who can attack the ball and who do not shy away from tackles.
