Hope i am picking this up wrong but sky have announced deal with SPFL and agreed to offset cost of lost games over five years. Is this the ten mill we warned of splitting out? If so it's a disgrace that 17 of top leagues in Europe try play to a finish, ours pushed to end to give that lot a title that the rest of the league end up picking up the tab for!

Agree9 Disagree0

Corrupt to the core

Even estonia belerus etc are back finishing there season as well as german danish polish started english italian spanish etc due to restart.

03 Jun 2020 14:05:31
Now as i said to my mate if old firm game was played and it was cut to 10 points would they still have stopped season?

YES probarly as there too many related to smell tic on board
New board should be appointed to spfl and you can not have or been conected to anyone ever who is connected to any football club.

03 Jun 2020 14:39:14
Think that sky deal also means season ticket holders will get to stream home games.

03 Jun 2020 15:31:38
Excellent point believable! we paid for cfc title! …… any regime change of any kind now required in Scotland?

03 Jun 2020 15:49:32
It’s rumoured they agree the settlement was £1.5m to be paid over 5 years.

03 Jun 2020 15:54:47
There should have been an investigation into why they acted so quickly and with gusto to end the season, but if Rangers dropped it and nobody else cared about anything but money it shows Scottish football is finished and has no soul nor credibility, unfortunately we are stuck here, that’s the big problem now.

03 Jun 2020 16:26:07
1.5 mill, where did the 10 mill being banded about a few weeks ago come from?

03 Jun 2020 17:28:02
same place as a few weeks ago up doncasters jacksie.

03 Jun 2020 17:56:45
Gers fans should boycott all away games and let them all suffer more why buy tickets to fill other clubs bank accounts etc when we buy season ticket etc for ibrox only giving our hard earned cash just to our own club.

03 Jun 2020 18:50:58
I’m really starting to believe that not giving them my money is the way to go, never really thought that before, but if we carry on then it stays as it is, they take rangers fans cash, which remember many like me have already paid on sky/ bt, for away games,

03 Jun 2020 21:07:21
Mentioning other countries starting back now is pointless as Scotland is still 6 weeks away from being able to restart. That is not the spfl or Celtics fault it is due to Scotland being behind on the recovery and our health advisors holding things up in restarting. All these other countries leagues will be completed before we are given all clear to play a match. It’s Boris and Nicola who are to blame for this mess more than football clubs/ authorities. ( why didn’t they shut things down when Europe was realising the problem)

03 Jun 2020 21:13:49
You really couldn’t make this up. The money the clubs will lose due to ending the league early will be a lot more than it’ll cost for testing. Doncaster will get praise when he should be sacked for this.

If the virtual ticket is covered within the three season tickets I’ve renewed and Rangers are the only beneficiaries then I’ll live with it. If Sky or the SPFL, in particular, get a share where they wouldn’t normally then it’ll be a disgrace.

Well done Mr Lawwell, your minions doing your bidding have cost all clubs just to keep your bonus in tact.

04 Jun 2020 07:24:05
Once again we jump in. It’s 1.5 million a year for next five years. Total 7.5 million.
Those who look to the past and the present miss the future.
It’s all about next season.

04 Jun 2020 09:55:12
I’ve been saying this to fans for long enough now, any away games we should boycott in the Scottish leagues, starve them all of our money.
We get behind our own team financially, rest of next season once we allowed bk and the next again, this is the only way to show our strength. Wee need fan groups etc to spread the news.
I’m a season ticket holder, and have not been to an away game since 2012.

04 Jun 2020 10:50:26
Is that right though John? BBC have it as £1.5m over 5 seasons?

04 Jun 2020 11:42:07
I’m all for boycotting away grounds.1,000 tickets only for away games.
Think of this St Johnston alone made £450,000 from us attending their shed.
Why pay for them to survive when they hate us.
Pay Rangers tv to watch away games.

04 Jun 2020 11:56:39
Jim 1972, for the sake of accuracy, had our wee nicola told everyone the truth about nike conference in late February, lockdown would have been much earlier and many lives saved, fact not rumour.

04 Jun 2020 13:21:01
dont forget lads our club agreed to end the season we didn't so that put the ball back in the court.

04 Jun 2020 13:24:30
1.5 mill to sky who will make money off the season ticket plan plus there is also 4.5 that was due to BT apparently? Is it right the sponsor is now sky too?

04 Jun 2020 13:36:59
No way we are 6 weeks away from restarting. No way.

04 Jun 2020 14:17:50
John25, £7.5 million or £10 million, the point is the same pal. This is money that was only made known to clubs after they voted for the resolution to end the three lower leagues. My point is that whilst Doncaster may have reached agreement to amortise payments over 5 years, he will be made out as some sort of saviour in certain circles for doing so.

What about the lack of a sponsor?

04 Jun 2020 15:49:14
It doesn't say 1.5 mill per year for 5 years, it says 1.5 OVER 5 years
Is it just me!

04 Jun 2020 18:09:50
He who hears cool, I take u back to April when I wrote it was all being done too quick as Liewell knew uefa plans
We were shafted, can’t change it now so need to concentrate all efforts on winning it next year.
