Its strange that the same dip in form has come at the same time 2 years in a row. SG is the man to take us forward. I absolutely believe that but in a couple of interviews during the winter break he has spoken about putting hard work in the players legs.

Maybe it should be a time for less work and more tactical development? We seem to lack a second option if our initial tactics don't work. We look like a very tired team, lacking energy and sharpness. Why?

Think maybe the double sessions in Dubai might not help. It's a winter break, maybe they've been worked a bit hard, and might have been better to let the bodies rest a bit. No idea, just a bit weird that's its 2 year in a row the exact same has happened.

Well how many calf injuries is that. Stewart, jack, Defoe. Davis was out briefly I’m sure after Dubai. And tabs problem all on the back of a training camp. I agree they have potentially been overworked or they have nt done enough and when required to up it again they have all picked up niggles.

Punching above your weight takes its toll it’s hard to maintain.

Don't think they should be going anywhere during break should be in Glasgow never mind having a winter hoilday some training then sitting by a pool geting served on hand and foot am not sure if there gf and wife's are there?

Yea I think winter break in Dubai is a failure.

It’s all part of the learning curve for a new manager unfortunately. SG needs to learn how to handle these breaks. We’ve been sluggish on return from international breaks as well, during his tenure.

Suggested a while ago he'd worked them too hard in Dubai. Was greeted with the usual 'these are pro athletes, what a stupid comment' type responses.

Personally I didn't see the point in Dubai. We have an amazing training ground already and we should have had a friendly against lower opposition to prepare us. It seemed like a pointless exercise.

1872 mb u should replace all the sport scientists we have.

The Dubai point was to build on the closeness of our team. Give them time away from here. Only our squad and management team will know if they were over worked but in modern football with the high technology statistical work I seriously doubt that they would have been over worked.
I hear the comments that the players look tired that's not from Dubai that's because they have played a load of games so far. Starting early with European qualification with not much time off after long season last year. We will improve and Celtic will drop points.

Played a lot of games I agree, maybe should have given them a few days off, not double training sessions. 2 year in a row we've been terrible after Dubai and its cost us big time.
