First time poster. Just saying I worked in John Gilligans house last month and that was exactly what he told me that the money is coming from Hong Kong but Dave won't be standing down these guys are backers with plenty cash.

Should I start holding my breath now?

I don’t think king would stand down at this stage. I think he would want to be chairman when we win the league.
Only way I see him going is if he was bought out by chinese. i can see a new share issue with bulk of shares going way of bot it’s investment and Barry Scott.
Let’s see what age says and iom.
No doubt it will be a disaster for our great club to attract more investment.
Yes shares may devalue but the product, assets r rising.
Not all fans are in it to make money, investors maybe, but before anyone jumps in these guys are worth tens of millions and will know there is little chance of return in financial terms, borita have investments of 700 million alone.
Also think of Colin weir giving thistle ten million will he be expecting a return on his money . I suggest no, and he has said so.

We have a director called Julien wolthardt who is based In Hong Kong and has huge financial pull In China and has investments an a few large companies there . Wouldn't be surprised if that's got something to do with it.

Wouldn't want club to get involved with anything Hong Kong at minute the Chinese are going to sort things out there soon.

The chinese market is somewhere we should be looking for investment. I have a friend who splits his time their and dubai. He works within the financial sector dealing with investments and stuff, No idea what he actually does, but he told me about investment coming out of China months ago. Thought it was just hearsay but seems to be something in it. Was talking to Alex Rae and he has it from top level that there will be big money coming into the club. The money being invested in the Chinese game over past few years is unrivalled anywhere in the world just now. Football is becoming huge and rangers are a huge club with an icon as a manager in SG.

its well known that chinese companies and individuals are looking for footholds outside of china due to the slow down of their own economy. not sure rangers are a great investment for return but as John says not everyone invests in football to ensure returns. actually with right investment i can see Rangers returning to being able to pay dividends in a few years as we seem now to be getting the correct structure in place to be sustainable over that same period.
