Evening times reporting that daniel candeias could be going to genclerbirligi in turkey. No transfer fee mentioned. From my own personal view, i really do hope we don't sell candeias. Always have liked and rated him and he loves rangers. His workrate for a winger is phenomenal. On his game the wee man can be unplayable at times and its only his final ball at times, that let's him down. I wonder how much gerrard would sell candeias for, if this story is indeed true?

@SGL - you hit the nail in the head. For a winger, his final ball is horrendous more often than not. His work rate doesn’t cover up that fact and is probably why Gerrard is prepared to let him go👍.

Gerard gave an interview yesterday where he said he "reluctantly" allowed Candeias to speak to the Turkish team, but he wants him to stay with us. It's Candeias who wants to leave as he doesn't want to have to fight for a starting place.

I love the rangers, not good enough to play. Candaeias is what is wrong with us. This guy would not have got a game with reserves in advocat or Souness era.
We need better, with more consistency if we r to win league.
I wish him well. Fee being quoted is around 800 k, good business I'd say.

Letsgo55 the rubbish uve just spouted. He had the most assists the season before last n he would had a sutliad more last season but fof poor finishing his crossing is on par if not better than tavs at times the guys workrate is second to none we would be mental letting him go.

@brogie - you must be watching a different DC from myself and Gerrard who both agree he needs to finds a bit more consistency in the final 3rd.
Sorry, but I’ll stick with Gerrard’s opinion on this one👍.

He never mentioned his final ball. He was on about his goals he needs to add more goals to his game.

Brogue, got to agree to a point with sgl and let's go 55 on this one. I like candeias but if he has time to think, often he hits the first man. His work rate is superb, I wish everyone in the team had his attitude but unfortunately he isn't going to play that much this season and he doesn't want to play 2nd fiddle this year. I think he might be 3rd choice right winger this year behind ojo and Arfield.

Last year of his contract, going to struggle for game-time - let him go, although he was a good signing.

I can't honestly believe what some of you are spouting! Candaeias would be a huge dent in our squad! Anyone who ACTUALLY knows ANYTHING about football will understand what he does in a game, for his teammates.

And final ball? Think how many vital crosses and assists hd provided, in Europe and in the league. some of you don't have a clue.

Personaly, I would be devastated if DC leaves. He's proved to be a brilliant player for us. DC and Tav have linked so well and his work rate is second to none.

Although, with the signings of Jones and Ojo with a slight possibility of Kent returning would there be a place in the starting 11 for him?

Which leads to another thought, have we maybe got the best years out of him? Finally, if he goes. What fee would be acceptable for him to return to Turkey.

Food for thought. My personal opinion is, if the fee is substantial and given his age I would still be saddened to see him go but, would be satisfied if we got a couple of million to bolster the war chest.

In the other hand we let him go for close to buttons, I'll be fuming!

I will be sad to see him go purely for his work rate and clear connection with Alfie and tav but we have young Hastie who can play there and Docherty was drifting out to the right against st Joseph’s, both look good I thought and a good bit of game time this season could reallly bring them on, DC always seemed to get a bit of stick here and so did Docherty but I think Docherty will come good for us, couple of assists already this season, clearly that wee loan spell to Shrewsbury has done wonders for his confidence.
