Looks like Klopp has blocked a loan move for Kent. Bam! Haha, like he is ever going to use him when his big stars come back! He will no doubt just rot on the bench or in the reserves! I wonder if Gerrard will have someone else in mind to bring in.

We're particularly covered where wingers are concerned and if we don't get kent back, we don't need to bring another winger in imo anyway.
We do need another striker and 2 if morelos is sold.

Ok, here goes, let’s see if people want to listen. Steven Gerrard stated at the end of the season that in terms of Kent returning we’d have to play the waiting game as Liverpool wanted to have a look at him in pre-season before deciding what to do with him. (The only way that was going to change was if someone came in with a massive offer to buy him) .
Now despite what is written in the papers every day (unsurprisingly to try to sell papers), or despite everyone and their granny claiming they’d ‘heard a rumour’, Nothing has changed! We will go with what we have just now in terms of wingers, I reckon Gerrard is very happy with that, and if near the end of the window Liverpool decide to let him leave on loan we will have first refusal and will decide then whether to take him. This has been the case since May and still is.

Think it’s clear Stewart is seen as the 3rd striker as well as a No. 10 option, if Morelos goes we will buy a striker but I think we are shaping up well for now! I’d like a big target man to replace Morelos if he goes, someone we can change it up and go long to!

Agreed Ger, he may come he may not, he certainly won’t make their 25 man PL squad so he will either be sold or loaned out and we’ll be in the mix if that’s the case. I’m not sure we need him as much now although Kent Defoe Ojo backed up by Jones Morelos (or replacement) Hastie and also Jamie Murphy I’m there too would be good options.

I think Klopp just wants to have a proper look at him and do that without the boy thinking he'll be off anyway. I'm all for having guys that want to be here so would welcome him back but I wouldn't be disappointed if it doesn't happen.

Still of the opinion we need another striker . someone half decent . Lafferty to me isn't good enough . Defoe can't go the full season . Morelos if he goes has to be replaced . Yes he can be a liability in terms of discipline but he does have talent and will be missed if he leaves . Would like to see a left back as well . Someone decent again who has played there regularly . If we do that I'd be happy and say we're ready .

ajax played far better football both legs CL semi vs spurs but went out
llorente played spurs went more direct and it worked perfectly he put himself about won knock downs backed in unsettled defence and Blind didn’t know what to do
i think we need that option thinking of likes of dado jelavic and of course attila - awesome signings for the rangers absl warriors.

If we can get Kent back he will be the best winger at the club, we need the best players available to win this league. Jones or Murphy will not replace the quality that Kent brought to our team, no disrespect and Ojo is still a complete unknown still so imo getting Kent back is massive. Kent is also more than capable of playing central like he did against Celtic at Parlhead when he got his goal so can increase our quality in a number of positions.
It's honestly amazing how so many fans can dismiss the lad after the performances he put in last season.

He won't have blocked any move for him that's paper talk he will do what's best for kent's career. he's not going to get into the liverpool first team we all know that so its either sell the boy or loan the boy out.
