First time poster here, i am a journalist, I also have close links to the club through my profession (not close enough as some of you) but i believe still close.
In regards to some of the rumours on here, the Sturridge one is a no go, he wouldn't be willing to reduce his wages in order to join the club irrespective of that he is also not on the clubs radar. Football clubs don't just sign players on a whim, every signing has been scouted for months on the field and in training. Steven and Mark Allen Also want players who aren't passengers hence why Dorrans, Rossiter etc have been told to move on.
Aribo as widely reported is signed and will be confirmed tomorrow and should meet up on Wednesday (this is subject to Charlton agreeing for him to train as he is still under contact until the end of the month)
Lawrence Shankland is being viewed as an option and if signed either he or Hardie (most likely Shankland) will go on loan for playing time to see if he can cut it at top level.
Kalas, Cooper, Jagielka are all not on the clubs radar all barring cooper are on too high a wage for fringe players and cooper would demand too high of a fee.
Morelos, Tavernier and Barisic won't be sold unless an exceptional bid is made, most interest in Morelos has been paper talk and rangers haven't been contacted about him, Teams have however enquired about Tav. Barisic is one of the first names on the Croatian team sheet at the minute a team that are ranked as the 6th best National team, The management staff realise this and are willing to give him another year, apparently he struggled last year as his English wasn't great and he didn't have many other hobbies away from football. This year that should be rectified.
The Kent situation is literally down to Liverpool and the player, Liverpool are unwilling to sell him this summer as they feel his price could inflate more if he has another successful season or two, therefore the ultimate decision will be on Kent as to where he would like to play next season.
There is the potential for one or two Marquee signings later on in the summer after the team see their progress in the Europa league. (I mean Marquee as in by Scottish football standards, don't be expecting Arden Robben to be pulling on the famous jersey) other than that the recruitment team and coaching staff are wanting to give the younger players a chance as fringe players, this is mainly down to the Europa league registration rules whereby you have to register 8 or more players trained at the club for more than 2 years when they where 16-21, currently we only have McGregor and Stewart who fits this criteria.
Steven Gerrard is also likely to rebuff any other managerial offers from derby, Newcastle etc. as he sees rangers as a larger club and he doesn't want to have to compete against Liverpool. Rangers as hard as it is to admit basically has gerrard on loan from Liverpool to Hone his skills before returning to Liverpool, This is why (this isn't factual its just my opinion) Gerrards contract at rangers expires at the same time as Klopps at Liverpool.
Either-way we are on our way to 55, if not this year or next or the season after that we will eventually win it, and it will taste even sweeter regardless of how many times the ones from the dark side have won it, no other club in world football would have recovered as quickly as we did, and that's what makes us The famous Glasgow Rangers.

Good post. Definitely Stevie G has morals so he will want to get his teeth into some silverware before he heads South. My fear is if Klopp isn't getting silverware soon he will jump which might dictate SG's pace.

Most of what have written any well in formed fan could tell you being journalists thought you might have come up with better scoop than Shankland signing which I don’t think will happen.

This is mostly stuff we already know and no offence but I doubt it if a journalist would come on here.
Rumour has it Tav is off to Bournemouth. I don't think anyone will buy Morelos to be honest. At least not the now. I think we need his goals if we are going to win the league. Can't reply on Defoe as his age will have a factor, especially playing on the artificial pitches.
I would give Barasic another chance but I'm not a fan. Saying that why does he do well for Croatia?
We need another striker. I think a target man would suit the bill. Someone different. Onwards and upwards.

Almost every post on here is guesswork or uninformed nonsense or simply made up.
Perhaps a secret group for those of you with nothing positive to say would be preferable to letting g everyone have their say and then debating views and rumours instead of simply shutting folk down.

Only a couple of things about this post that is wrong, has already signed, deal was confirmed yesterday, and we have more than 2 players trained at a scottish club, the mccrorie brothers, jamie murphy, Ryan Jack, Andy halliday, ryan hardie. Other than that post was good.

I’m a supporter through good and bad days and whilst sometimes not happy with results I can understand that we are on the way back from a very poor position and realistic enough to see that we cannot have instant success.

most definitely andy. I've no slaughtered the guy. simply bringing up the post that everything he says has been in the paper. awfully time consuming, drawn out post to let us know things we already know! stating he's a journalist, was starting to make me believe we were getting some unknown information.
