Just read a claim that Liverpool have put a £12 million valuation on Kent, if true it’s of course bye bye to a permanent deal.

Agree6 Disagree1

That means Morelos is worth 30 million.

16 May 2019 11:36:41
12 million? For someone that's only really been good with us? everywhere else he has been mince. Hope he stays though and rossiter gets a good run of games without being injured.

Never in a million years is Kent work that maybe 2.5 at most.

16 May 2019 13:12:37
I do think Kent is a good player with great potential but there’s no danger he’s worth more than 7 million tops right now. I think the main reason people rate him is that he doesn’t hide even when he’s playing bad. However saying that his end product isn’t always great. I’m surprised the amount of times he makes space to hit a shot and ends up scuffing it.

Blue89 - I agree and can't remember him often beating a man 1 on 1 - - can't understand the hype to be honest?
Defo not a 12mill man. But that's England for you, let's hope we remember that if anyone comes looking for Arfield Tavernier Morelos et al.

Ed I would personally bring back Steven Naismith again gives 100% and would offer more then Lafferty but again just my opinion mate.

DSGERSFAN is spot on £3m tops.

16 May 2019 14:28:51
On the upside there's not too many clubs who will pay that and therefore a greater chance we will get him back on loan for a season. Realistically he is not a player we can ever afford to buy even at half that number.

16 May 2019 14:40:31
I rate Kent - clearly higher than some of those above - but if it goes past about £6m then we should be looking elsewhere, regardless if we have money from a Morelos sale. £6m or less would be decent business as he could definitely be sold on to England for £15m+ in a season or two.

16 May 2019 15:26:28
We simply do not have the money for players above a few million so £ 5 or £6m is a non starter for us.

16 May 2019 15:58:07
In England he's worth £12million, but that doesn't reflect his worth up here. He was signed to cover for Jamie Murphy, who will be back fit next season.

16 May 2019 16:13:17
There will be clubs prepared to pay
The asking price for kent
Since Liverpool sold solanke
For 19mill I never heard of him
The whole season.

{Ed001's Note - Solanke was sold in January and was injured for almost the entire time.}

12 m well that’s us out. No big deal I honestly believe jamie Murphy is a better player who has a much better end product than Ryan Kent. i don’t doubt he will go on to have a great career but not with us at that price.

16 May 2019 17:08:27
They will get it ok. Lots of sides will pay for a winger of his ability (who has growth in him) in Scottish money it would mean he is one of the best players to have graced the Scottish game; which he isnt, but in England that's chicken feed.

17 May 2019 01:37:12
Jamie murphy isn't better than Kent fs man.

17 May 2019 04:03:03
Really good player with potential to get better but that's too rich for us.

Will they get something around that from a club down south? Unfortunately they probably will.

Just the reality of football finances now.

17 May 2019 09:18:25
Don't know how no one else has clicked on or understands. A club puts a valuation on a player, triggers a bidding war with interested parties testing the waters until selling club deems a bid acceptable. It's simply good business sense from said selling club.

17 May 2019 11:26:10
Have to agree with DSGERSFAN, Kent is worth 2 1/ 2 Mil Max. 7 Goals from 30 odd games Not good enough, There is a player in Kent, But he is far too inconsistent Only my opinion. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧🇦🇺.
