Two bidders to be named in the press tomorrow, both well known to the Scottish footballing fraternity.

AC75

Believable11 Unbelievable9

Its Graeme Souness who is in the UK consortium to buy Rangers, this bid will be the best and D & P will announce on Friday preferred bidder status, Whyte will walk for 5 Million which has also been agreed, and the club will exit administration through a newco next week.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe SDM has joined forces with others to save Rangers, he may not be able to put up much cash but he can make things awkward for Craig Whyte over breaching conditions of the sale, he may threaten to contest the share sale.

Anorak,

Agree0 Disagree0

Saint and Grievesy?

Agree0 Disagree0

If Murray is involved in any other way than being publically flogged with rotten fruit, I won't set foot in Ibrox again.

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard from a really good source that carrol ( the lotto lout) is buying rangers for a pound then making ibrox into a pawn shop!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its sir walter only problem will he pass the fit and proper person test after the double contracts and EBTs did he know or was he involved

Agree0 Disagree0

If Murray is daft enough to be putting pressure on whyte he might end up with his shares back and whyte suing him for 18 million (Lloyds debt)

Agree0 Disagree0

All the names I have read thus far have questions to answer about fit and proper persons EBT has not gone away nor has HMRC.

Just read this:

"Apart from the renewal of interest by the Singapore-based businessman, Bill Ng – revealed by Telegraph Sport on Tuesday – and by the Sale Sharks owner, Brain Kennedy, the identities of the other bidders remained obscure on Wednesday night, although not for much longer according to Whitehouse. “We’ve had discussions with all four, but only detailed discussions with,” he said. “Although two of them are very late to the table they are actually very advanced in their thought process, well-engaged with advisors and well-funded.

“Both bids would be - I believe - popular with fans. They are known names in both football and in the Scottish community. There is certainly a more natural empathy with the club than Bill Miller had. There is a Rangers connection there. "

2 bidders with a Rangers connection...could be intersting. Jim McColl? A Souness led consortium? Any ideas?? SG

Believable13 Unbelievable12

I think souness is involved. I have a feeling in my water. Stomachs been killing me for days. B*@tard souness, i hated that sod when he was at you lot. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Benny Hill?? Bigirishmac

Agree0 Disagree0

Won't matter. This would need to be tied up by tomorrow night to have "takeover" registered for end of season.there isn't enough time, too many imponderables.Expect next week we'll hear the usual excuses but liquidation seems to be the only option.

Since Ticketus are said to be suing Legal action against Craig Whyte to the sum of £27m, does this mean that if they have a case they will still be seeking the same figure from Rangers, meaning they rake in £52m total? I know Craig Whyte has said he has 'personal guarantees' on the line etc but what does this mean for us? Or nothing at all.

nr85

Believable5 Unbelievable23

This means ticketed want their money. They don't care who pays them it. The fact they are pursuing whyte is no bad thing for rangers as they will be getting legal advice on who they can recover the debt from, though this does not mean we are in the clear. It is not uncommon for a lawyer to advise pursuing all in situations like this to get best chance of recovery. Worst case? Ticketus lawyers see rfc as screwed and cw best chance of recovering any funds (on his current run rate, all the best with that...)

Agree0 Disagree0

It means a deal can be done outwith ticketus as they will go after the guy with the personal guarantees....as in mr whytee....unless he doesnt have 27mill. then we will be the stool pigeon.....thats why he is handing over his shares as we speak as he knows the consequences if he doesnt...probably making a nice handshake for his ughmm ..troubles.....its getting very close to job done on all fronts sdm included...deecee

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard that he's into the Provvy Woman in the South of France for £36m. HMRC, Strathclyde Police and Alex Thomson are nothing compared to an irate Provvy Woman shouting through Craigy's letterbox: "Ah know yer in there ya pr!ck, ah can see yer f@ckin telly on through yer windae!"

Agree0 Disagree0

Provvy Woman. poetry, pure poetry.

Agree0 Disagree0

Either way they should get their money, if Gers contract ripped up then they are entitled to their money from CW.

They can't get their money twice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will make the whole Craig Whyte saga a success if Ticketus chanse him rather than the club given that the majority of the money he borrowed from them was used to pay the clubs debts and not Craig Whytes. Result!

Big G.

Agree0 Disagree0

I stated about a month ago when Ticketus pulled out of the blue knights deal that they were doing so because they believed they could prove whyte was liable and NOT Rangers. Nobody believed me. This is why Duff and Phelps raised the action in court to decide whether Rangers could ignore Ticketus as a creditor. Because they aren't. They are Whyte's creditor. I suspect that Whyte may be willing to part with a pound for his shares so long as whoever is bidding is willing to take his Ticketus debt off him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have it on good authority that the agreement between Whyte and Ticketus was not signed by Whyte (under investigation by Police). As Whyte used this money to secure the deal to buy Rangers - it can't be construed as being Rangers' debt. That's why Ticketus are therefore suing Whyte for the money they would have recouped by the season ticket sales. Watch this space. More damning revelations to come in relation to Whyte, his lawyers and Phuff & Delps !

Keith jackson claimed on keys and gray this morning that paul clark from d&p had a telephone conversation with brian kennedy regarding kennedy n tbk takeover before miller was announced as preferred bidder. the phone call ended with clark saying "we have a deal". The next day d&p changed the goalposts n named miller preferred bidder in the days that followed. if this was the case then why has kennedy n tbk not been announced as preferred bidder as soon as miller withdrew??
J1985 {Ed022's Note - If it was on Keys and Gray on Talksh*te then it is 100% true without any kind of doubt at all in a million years ever.}

Believable9 Unbelievable16

Was this the same Keith Jackson who claimed that Whyte was a billionaire with wealth off the radar, or a different Keith Jackson?

Agree0 Disagree0

CW has AEG almost tied up. Why do you think D&P have been playing for time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye - like Keith jackson has been right all along in this saga - NOT! He's about as much in the know as Darryl King. TWO weeks ago KJ stated on Talksport that Rangers had 48 HOURS to survive...............

Agree0 Disagree0

Because KJ is a liar possibly

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest.....the guy obviously knows more than most n hears a lot more than most doing the job he does, some might be bs, some might be fact but i'd listen to a guy who writes in a national newspaper before any of the "heard it here first" or "take my word for it" know it alls on here.
J1985

Agree0 Disagree0

J1985

That he writes for a national newspaper should be warning enough.

This is the same Keith Jackson who wrote about the Motherwell born billionaire riding in to save Rangers with his off the radar wealth. When newspapers should have been looking into the guy's business dealings they were regurgitating what Whyte's PR team told them as facts because it shifted papers. It wasnt hard to find the dirt as CFC fans proved.

Its the exact same as the Scottish sports media did with Murray. When newspapers should have been looking into the sustainability of his spending they were bringing you tales of floating pitches and supercasinos at Ibrox while mocking CFC's 'biscuit tin' mentality for not spending as much as Murray.

A healthy Scottish media would have exposed Murray as the egomaniac leading Rangers into oblivion 10 years ago and Rangers wouldnt be so royally screwed now.

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

Jackson wouldn't know a genuine story if it bit him on the @rse. The guy is a complete balloon. You would get a better answer from 'Showbiz Sam' in the record than any of the so called 'Sports Journalists' spouting p!sh to fill column inches. As for Hugh, he was claiming an exclusive for a story at the weekend on Bill M that was on about a dozen blogs 4 days pervious.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is not a secret, Craig Whyte wants somebody to give him 26.7 million to pay back Ticketus or someone to take over his Ticketus guarantee.

Then you get his shares.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't really argue with any of your assessment mac. You are spot on. Anything I happen to read in the papers I take with a pinch of salt and try and read between the lines. Most often it is what the papers don't tell us that is closer to the truth. Unfortunately most people don't realise that.

Brian

Agree0 Disagree0

"why has kennedy n tbk not been announced as preferred bidder as soon as miller withdrew?" EASY, cos they got shafted by D&P just as you describe, who the hell would trust them after that? And if anyone is daft enough to rust them after that, they shouldn't be alloowed out on their own, never mind take charge of one of the largest teams in the country. Doh!!!!

Administrators are hopeful of naming another preferred bidder tomorrow (We've heard that before, but pessimism isn't an attractive quality). If that be the case then sobeit, we would have a lucky escape in missing out on Miller. On reflection he was always a very unlikely suitor, a naive "soccer" (what ever that is) investor, an innocent abroad - never been to Scotland, never been to match.

So Gentlemen tomorrow, what wonders will it hold?

Believable7 Unbelievable17

Just heard that a scottish businessman will be named as preferred bidder. read about it tomorrow!

Agree0 Disagree0

Another day -- Another dollar

If they get a fourth bidder they could play a rubber of bridge for minimum stakes. But who would hold the Black Ace of Whytes and Who is the dummy....will the Joker play his trump or is it a new chess game with loaded dice...Tune in tomorrow... or today if you can stay awake long enough.

Believable10 Unbelievable19

Source about Bill Ng? Fed up seeing all these "very wealthy" businessman mucking around with idiotic bids.

Ticketus is soon to lodge a legal claim against Craig Whyte for £27m.
The company loaned Mr Whyte about £24m which helped fund the businessman's takeover of Rangers last May.
Ticketus claims he gave personal guarantees for the money.
Mr Whyte's finance company, Liberty Capital, which is registered in the British Virgin islands, is expected to be the main focus of the legal action taken by Ticketus.'
Sounds good to me.

'Mr Whyte used part of this money to settle the club's debt to Lloyds Bank - a move Mr Whyte said did not involve making guarantees with Rangers' assets.
It is believed that the new owner was assigned the bank's floating charge over Rangers assets - making him secured creditor.
That position is disputed, however, by Duff and Phelps, the firm appointed as Rangers administrators in February after the club failed to make tax payments.'

Yes I know the bids are important but a wee bit of pressure put on craigy boy might help with the sign over of his shares, like, you are being sued for £27m as you put up all those personal guarantees or said you did.

Believable12 Unbelievable10

Whyte moved all rangers assets across to the virgin islands so if thats the case were in even more deeper s.... than before
kmc

Craig Whyte doesn't have any money. Any that Ticketus' lawyers can find, that is. He will simply give them the finger, liquidate himself and come back as the next Dr Who.

Some answers to these might help me understand a few things before even delving into the CW/Ticketus/HMRC hole.

When do Rangers become eligible for a further points deduction, is it the first day after the end of the old season?

Why does a deal need to be done before the end of the season?

The players wages go back to their original value on the 1st June

If A Newco deal gets done before Sunday, do Rangers break all sorts of SFA rules by fulfilling the game on Sunday with no SPL license

Can players contracts be transferred to Newco?

What income does Rangers have between now and the start of next season? sponsorship, shirts, Prize money for second.

How much of the SPL prize money will be kept back to pay other clubs?

What exactly is the wage bill between 1st june and the start of next season?

If D and P are accruing £1m per month, at what point does that start to eat into the residual value available for creditors, given little income, given some increase in wages on 1st June

If 1st June is an obvious point on liquidation due to wages substantially increasing, at what oint between now and then is the tipping point when the D and P liabilities start to eat into the creditors pot.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

I will endeavour to summarise the current position:

Rangers assets are bordering on worthless, they are only an asset to a commercially viable Rangers. A firesale of these assets to a non-football source would just about pay the administration and liquidation fees.

Rangers in its current structure is not a commercially viable business, its loss making potential existed prior to any sanctions. Current and anticipated sanctions affecting European and domestic income over the next 3 years renders Rangers un-salvageable.

In effect Rangers is worthless as a business proposition, and is threatened with permanent extinction. Rangers can not be downsized to survive in the SPL never mind Divsions 3-2-1, it is a superstore and not a cornershop. Rangers main source of income is ticket sales, and its overheads cannot be reduced sufficiently to compensate for the projected reduction in ticket sales.

Its a simple equation, if one reduces the quality of the team and simultaneously removes most of the prize incentives, then unlike " the field of dreams " the crowds vital for survival will not come for 3 consecutive years. Leeds Utd are a perfect example.

D&Ps were not bluffing when they said liquidation is not an option, there have been no bids for the assets of Rangers from a non-football source in 3 months.

A newco-oldco solution does not make Rangers anymore commercially viable, the briefest diligence by Bill Miller confirmed that it would cost in the region of 30 million to turn Rangers around during the 3 years of European and domestic sanctions.
The experts on ticket sales withdrew precisely because they calculated the financial consequences of playing for nothing with an affordale team.
Projected drops in attendance are the new elephant in the room, even if you bought Rangers for £1 it would cost you 30 million, and creditors will not accept £1.

In amongst this gloom is one last hope, the administration period can be extended to facilitate a stand alone CVA, involving a Ticketus guarantee and CWs shares. Players can be sold ahead to bring in working capital, this can be easily justified by the proceeds of a CVA. Even a bid of 8 million with Ticketus and the debentures guaranteed delivers over 40 million to the creditors.
A CVA does not carry the penalties of liquidation, administration or a newco, this guarantees to some extent ones main source of income, the average attendance.

SFA and SPL will not deduct points or impose any further European bans, Rangers will ace extended financial sanctions, 6 years of 25% of all prize money in all competitions, including Europe.

Anorak.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do not think that it matters whether or not there is a vote to deduct points or not if there is no club in exitence.

Wait til UEFA get involved.

I find it confusing that Duff & Phelps are claiming a deal could be done by the end of this week with one of the bidders.

They haven't even announced who these bidders are so I can't see that happening.

Deadline after deadline missed, daily propaganda from this mob.

I rubbished claims from fellow bears that Duff & Phelps may be being influenced by CW.

No I'm not so sure.

Whyte's name has come back into this unfortunately which concerns me.

Believable26 Unbelievable7

Ed, you may be able to help cause I sure can't work this out. How can anyone take over before Sunday?, surely they still have due diligence to carry out as well as all the other legal matters that I'm sure this thing ensures. How the hell can this be done in only 3 days....HELP {Ed022's Note - It can't.}

Agree0 Disagree0

We all have a D&P ring through our noses. This way and that; here and there; up the hill and down again but keep sending in your money!

Agree0 Disagree0

D & P just want to prolong the milking of a cash cow. If there was the slightest chance that someone could get this club profitable the money market would have found that someone weeks' ago. They might be praying for someone with more money than sense to pop up but this has not happened either. End of season. End of Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers' administrators maintain a deal to safeguard the future of the financially-stricken club can be concluded by the end of this week.

Duff and Phelps are evaluating three offers for the Glasgow giants after American tycoon Bill Miller withdrew his bid despite being granted preferred bidder status ahead of a rival bid from Brian Kennedy and the Blue Knights consortium.

Two of the three bidders are new to the process, co-administrator David Whitehouse of Duff and Phelps said.

Rangers play their final match of the Scottish Premier League season at St Johnstone on Sunday, with Whitehouse optimistic of progress before then.

Believable3 Unbelievable24

I am afraid this cannot happen - time is too short & the cash is almost gone (end May)

It takes about 6 weeks for a CVA to be accepted by the creditors.

So Bill Miller's way was the only way to get this through!
I hate to be negative but we need someone with more money than passion - but a bit of both!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bet the police are on standby in Perth. Look out for headlines screaming "unprovoked police violence" from policemen who did not speak English and understand the supporters passion.

The company loaned Mr Whyte about £24m which helped fund the businessman's takeover of Rangers last May.

Ticketus claims he gave personal guarantees for the money.

Believable17 Unbelievable12

Bet the bankers who got this money grabbed it with both hands. The only ones who are all smiles. Well maybe there are a few of us with bigger grins each morning when we await new developments.

Agree0 Disagree0

They may force CW to sell his assets which include Ibrox and Murray Park they will get their money!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ticketus is Whyte. This is a sham so the floating charge is given over to Ticketus. The "going after " Whyte is to placate rangers fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Above post is bang on. the whole thing is a load of crap to designed for someone to walk away with rangers assets without paying any of the money owed. there is no way whyte would have left himself open to being sued in this way. it all stinks to hell. let it go and start a new club like fc united and sod em all.

Ed is it true the RST are organizing a march to Ibrox next week to pressurize D&P into giving the Rangers Support more transparency into the going ons at the club after Craig Whytes potentially being a sleeping partner with the latest British consortiums bid?

SounessesThighs.

Believable9 Unbelievable10

All the marches in the world won't make 1 bit of difference. I would be marching to the premises of MIH/MIM as he alone sold us down the river by selling to CW

Agree0 Disagree0

Why can't rangers fans understand that the administrators are working for the creditors not for rangers or their fans ! Its for the people that are owed money not the tax cheats !

Agree0 Disagree0

Do the fans that march want to know the unvarnished truth. If someone could get through to them the real facts of the situation they would go bananas.

I know this is asking a massive sacrifice from the players (who have already sacrificed so much) but...

If things appear to be moving by the end of the month (e.g. a CVA is out for approval with creditors) do you think that the players would agree an extra month or two of wage cuts in order to ensure a CVA gets passed without the need to liquidation?

I realise players like Aluko's contracts are up but do you think the other players would continue to take the wage cut?

It seems that Lafferty has played his last game, I just don't know would will follow him.

P.S it's good to see Bedoya getting a game, I was worried he was going to be another McKay!

Believable6 Unbelievable18

After lafferty's behaviour his departure is his loss not ours.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt this would happen unfortunately. I think the players have to look at their careers and make the right decision. If not then it could be Div 3 football or no team at all for them next year. They'd be better getting out while they can. Never thought I'd say that and cant believe the stuff that's being reported over the past few months but I really do think it's all over and you can't blame the players who are wanting some security regarding their future.

Agree0 Disagree0

The players have done their bit and accepted a deal - they were given someones word that their wages would be back to normal and so it should be .
Can't believe I am saying it either but if things aren't turned around in the next few days ( havin a laugh here I know ) then it's time to ship out .

Agree0 Disagree0

I also believe the players are due the back wages they havnt recvd also.

suspect a certain mr whyte will be putting his head above the parapet in the near future...

I have said this for a long time now, but im fearing the worst. At the end of the season there will be less monies coming in, no games to play, and all the players who took a cut and so on will be back to normal paid. I think at the end of the season we will be finished d&p should be investigated for what they are doing 3 new bidders my backside they must be having a right good giggle with the string puller that is craig whyte. In a way i would like to go to div3 cause it would give all us bears a good laugh at the spl trying to get tv deals sponsorship etc and by this time next season im sure we wouldnt be the only ones getting admin charges!!As for the players going at end of season.. I say let them go if thats what they want give the young blood a chance im sure our youth could get us back in spl if it came to it.. bouncie bouncie

Believable23 Unbelievable25

I have sympathy for the majority of Rangers fans, but non for the sectarian bigots that have refused to move forward all these years. So bouncy bouncy off.

Agree0 Disagree0

The players wont be back to normal pay. They will either have to renegotiate or liquidation will be immediate. I said several times they will wait till the end of the season so as to get more pennies in. They don't care about the supporters only the creditors.

Rangers administrator believes it can secure the club's future before the end of the week despite American tycoon Bill Miller withdrawing his bid.
Duff & Phelps' David Whitehouse says two of the three bidders are new to the process, with none contemplating liquidation of the present club.
Whitehouse also claims that a UK-based consortium has reached an agreement with owner Craig Whyte.
Transfer of his shares are required for a Company Voluntary Arrangement.
But it is the only bidding party considering such a process, with the others pursuing a similar "newco" route proposed by Miller.
More to follow. jsm

Believable7 Unbelievable26

It's understood two of the three bidders have already held discussions with Ally McCoist. One is local and two are from overseas.

It is also being reported that one of the bids is a stand-alone CVA.

David Whitehouse has also indicated that the UK consortium have concluded a deal whereby Craig Whyte will hand over his shares....jsm

Agree0 Disagree0

Whitehouse - what does that sound like ? - claims that after so many final deadlines, final offer, no conditions, some crock of gold has been spotted. The white shoots of recovery perhaps? that is not a rumour --that is a fairy tale.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is unbelievable! How can this all be sorted out by Friday? I just don't believe those guys anymore. Remember how they told us the club would be sold before 31st March to ensure European football?

We re gone. Gone for good. All true Bears should save there shillings for a new club run by the fans like AFC Wimbledon.

Agree0 Disagree0

I find it strange how it's taken 3 months to try and sort out, preferred bidder pulls out only 4 days after getting status who's bid was apparently the best bid they received. Now he pulls out somehow this can be sorted out by the end of the week? What on earth are these adminostrators doing? They are back to square one. No further ahead than before they have miller preferred bidder status. Dragging on far too long.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is just typical of so called rangers fans giving up and also fans having a go at potential saviour bill miller ok we did not know much about him but at least he put up and did not shut up he was willing to attempt to save the club unlike others and for fans to say yanks go home and etc was a total disgrace unlike whyte who we did not know much about. bill miller had a proven financial background and i for one am sorry he withdrew his bid. i firmly believe rangers will be saved and it will be a long road to recovery but fellow gers fans trying to scare bidders away is not helping i say to the minority doing this f*** off noone wants your negativity at ibrox go support someone else. i urge genuine rangers fans if we do get a buyer stick behind hin until there is a need to protest peacefully.

Alex Thomson has verified reports in the Sun, via his blog. The main interested party is from the UK, a consortium of businessmen with EPL experience, they have been in contact with D&P for at least a week and they are also nearing an agreement with CW.

Given the time constraints the only option open to them is the same plan as Buffalo Bill.

Believable16 Unbelievable20

And the reason they sat on their hands while Big Bill walked into the sun with the prize was.............

Why would english peaple be intrested in rangers with ther debt portsmouth cant get out of admin or bought and thet is only 8 mill you are a dreamer

Did the preferred bidder status mean nothing then ? I'd be reluctant to deal with anyone that is so obviously playing people off against each other.

It’s the Hoky Kokey consortium, you know how it goes, You put your best bid in, best bid out, in, out, in ,out shake it all about, you do the Bill Miller and walk away, that’s what it’s been about, Oh Liquid-Liquidation, Oh Liquid-Liquidation, Oh Liquid-Liquidation. That’s what there going to do to Gers

If these guys know football, they'll understand the importance of european revenue. if this is for real then they'll be working towards anything that cuts the european ban. fingers crossed, feels like last chance saloon to me

Agree0 Disagree0

So you all believe Alex Thomson now? he he not a Celtic fan like most of you think for asking questions? or it is you just take whatever good news come out? yous are the biggest flip floppers around

It would cost them less to buy portsmouth and get them into the prem where the real money in football is than it will to turn RFC around. Cant see it chaps.

Just heard Keith Jakson state on Talksport that the Blue Knights had a deal with Duff and Rip off the weekend before Bill Miller was named as preferred bidder. Clark and Whitehouse need to answer questions, who is pulling the strings behind the scenes, why is deadline after deadline being set and broken and why all of a sudden three more bidders. Ally Mccoist was slated for asking for transparency, we really need this however the more this goes on the more I think back to who really appointed Duff and Rip Off at the High Court and what is the hidden agenda.
I now fear for the worse for the club I have supported for forty years.

Believable19 Unbelievable5

There are no conspiracies or hidden agendas. Rangers is just too toxic to touch. Yet some still want to milk more out of it. Including TBK who just want the assets post liquidation to run and cream nice salaries.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same here knew it was bad but honestly thought we would come through it,...
craig+sadbabybear

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a bit rich for Ally to call for transparency given the secrecy around Directors, Managers and players wages (EBT) for years. Who is on the EBT's lets have transparency over this issue. If my memory serves me well it was Rangers FC who requested that the current Administrators be put in place after HMRC had argued for another firm to be appointed. I also agree the worse possible final outcome seems more likely than ever.

Agree0 Disagree0

The alternative to Duff & Co would have been the prefered officers from HMRC. That would have had the Bears screamin' "Blue Murder!"

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally didn't call for transparency. He was a petulant wee boy rallying the troops.

ok people answers on a postcard please... the blue knights and tickitus where not given preffered bidder status because they did no put up the 500,000 pounds exclusivity fee

bill miller was given preffered bidder status without the 500,000 pounds exclusivity fee

the administrators said it was a stumbling block of the bk bid ie; not paying the 500,000, wtf is going on here , these administrators are at it (cw puppets)

Believable27 Unbelievable4

I don't think the are CW puppets, after all, they are Court appointed professionals. I think the stumbling block all along is that Rangers FC is a crazy investment for anyone. It would take someone like Sir David Murray to come along and throw £100M down the pan, as he did. SDM tried to give the Rangers support what they themselves demanded from him - a measure of success. No one can deny that he achieved that goal. The fans are as culpable for the clubs present position as SDM.

Agree0 Disagree0

They are suing CW's lawyers for millions. Is this another crafty scheme Blackadder?
No Bal....

Agree0 Disagree0

Miller was pref bidder, but was not exclusive bidder as no 1/2M deposit put down, hence the other parties continued conversations with duff and phelps.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fans pay their money and expect those at the top to run things correctly. So how are fans to blame?

Agree0 Disagree0

Duff and duffer also said they were about to make TBK prefered bidder, since that remark TBK have improved their offer and still got knocked back, mine your guess as good as...Catweazle-talkingbone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Any bid must be sufficient to pay d&p , so millers did and didn't need 500,000 non refundable payment, bk doesnot and so 500,000 is needed....

Simplesx

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole thing is a house of cards and it's getting more and more unstable by the day, hence the changing goalposts and shifting sands.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the fans pay their money That's true; we pay our money but we have also made demands that others spend theirs on an 'unsustainable cause WATP' and we are still demanding that to this day. We will never find as big a mug as Sir David Murray again!

Does anyone have any idea who this wealthy British consortium is that I have read about in the paper today? CW is apparently on the verge of selling the club to this mob.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

You don't get it do you? Craig Whyte can't sell the club to anyone, the club is run by the administrators, only they can sell the club. Can't you people see that this is just more lazy journalism......put a positive headline in and sit back and watch the suckers buy lots of news papers. It's total b****cks

Agree0 Disagree0

The 3 interested parties are
the barren knights
bryan kennedy
and a consortium of the barren knights and bryan kennedy.
ellis is the one to watch. he's been around all of this for years but will never pass the fit and prop thing.he wants the business but doesnt want the debts. he is on the board now and will remain there.

According to today's Scotsman, Craig Whyte is close to completing a deal with a British consortium to sell Rangers. I think the behaviour of the administrators in this whole sorry affair is nothing short of disgraceful. It seems that they are the only people benefitting financially from this. Maybe they were stalling for time all along to allow Whyte to complete his sordid business deal?

Believable15 Unbelievable4

The sfa says hes unfit he should not be allowed near the club again disgracefull

Given how protracted these events have become it is now impossible for any "new" bidder to promote the idea that they are the true knight in shining armour, otherwise where have they been in the last 12-18 months? Unless of course the whole thing has been stage-managed from the outset [can't discount this, given the farcical bidding process].

I see Aluko is the first of no doubt many to put his head above the parapets and say he is considering his future. At this moment who can blame him. He helped finance his move and then he got shafted.
As far as I am concerned they can all go if they want to. Rangers is a club not a collection of players. We started from nothing so if we go back there I am sure we can rise again!
My real worry is when we eventually come out the other end is that the only history anyone will talk about is the one where we don’t pay our debts

I do not care if it is legal IT IS NOT MORAL! - Jaxie

Believable16 Unbelievable4

This is the one player that I really feel sorry for. He paid to pull on the jersey. I also believe that the Club knew all this was about to blow up when they let him pay to play! I wish you well and I think that you will have no problems moving to a decent Club.

Bill miller was another smokle screen. Imagine the guy being offended by a tiny proportion of fan opposition and a couple of banners. Apparently his ex-wife said the man had never even watched a game of 'soccer' and she doesn't know how he even heard of Rangers. Someone already said he would not have lasted a minute in Glasgow and it's true. One thing you cannot be is easily offended. I still think CW is pulling all the strings here. I just want to know the end game...

Believable11 Unbelievable2

It wasn't just fan opposition though, was it? It was nasty minded, rude, offensive and racist. And who cares if he's never watched football if he knows how to run a business. No wonder this organisation is going down the tubes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Explain how it was racist. Xenophobic, yes but not racist. {Ed022's Note - Xenophobic and racism are two completely different concepts. Racism does indeed refer to ones nationality as well as their ethnicity. Xenophobia is the 'fear of foreigners' - whether it be them 'stealing jobs' or just general linguistic diversity.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Now that you have explained the concept of racist singing ED I would hope that those enlightened by your superior wisdom will cease singing their racist songs and chants against other nationalities at Ibrox.

So after 4 days MR Miller realized that the money problems within the club were more significant than he was made aware of. Well even us on the outside know that it is going to require millions to stabilse our club no quick fix available. If the preferred bidder cant fix it wit £12 million up front who can? Three new bidders I dont think so. so where do we go from here down to the lake I fear.

Believable12 Unbelievable4

As many commentators have pointed-out, the £11.2m upfront was not the issue - I'm sure Miller's advisers had told him that he would need to put in as much as that again to tide Govan Rangers over the summer break and while the £10m per annum operating deficit was being tackled.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 May 2012 06:14:44
Bill Miller walked for two reasons: the problem is massive and bigger than D&P led him to believe before due dilligence. And the yank go home banner. In his own words:

"We continued to work through the holiday weekend in order to meet a very compressed schedule. By late Monday night, it became clear to me that preliminary information, discussions and analysis were, unfortunately, more optimistic than reality."

He added: "Having no intention of negatively affecting the potential outcome of the club's future and after hearing the message from Rangers supporters and fans loud and clear (‘Yank go home!’), I notified the administrators today that I have withdrawn my bid for Rangers and will not be moving forward.

So let's not hear any wrong rumours.

Believable5 Unbelievable9

The banner was both racist and a disgrace. Those who held it aloft and those who encouraged that action should be banned from Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who sponsored the banner? Who was upset at Miller winning the preferred bidder race? Kennedy was very gracious.

Agree0 Disagree0

How was it racist? since when have Americans been a race? {Ed022's Note - Believe it or not but Racism actually refers to peoples nationality, as well as skin colour/ethnicity. Daft? Perhaps, but I don't make the rules I'm afraid.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed. Race and nationality aren't the same thing - no such thing as a Scottish race etc. Remember that Scottish people can be of different race. Xenophobia is what those with the banners were guilty of. {Ed022's Note - Yes I am aware that they aren't of the same thing, but just to further the point - if you say for instance 'I hate asians' then that is racist against Asian people. Believe me mate, I do this stuff for a living.}

the scottish s*n is leading the story craig whyte is behind a new consortuim to buy rangers thought he was unfit ?

Believable7 Unbelievable9

I think they are suggesting that a group are interested in buying Rangers from Craig Whyte. Clearly, he is not behind anyone as he already owns the Club!

Agree0 Disagree0

You're totally off the mark Bear. You read the paper then take from it what you want. If you read the article properly you'll see that it states that Craig Whyte is ready to deal with a consortium of Fottball minded people with EPL experience. What you state implies that he is behind the consortium and that he will be involved with the club again some way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfit to run rangers, but not unfit to try and sell his shares.

He is not fronting the bid, just the sale of his shares

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig Whyte owns Rangers why would he be behind a new consortium to buy it?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the Sun is spouting a crock - but on your other question, CW could be involved so long as he was not proposing to take a place on the board. Paul Murray is widely assumed to be in the same position as the regs. suggest he is not eligible.

Read the story craig whyte is selling his to the consortuim . hes not part of it plus hes banned from taking part in scottish football so he cant be in the new consortium

Do you know what, I have just about had it. We have had the sheister Murray, we have had the charlatan CW, we have the most incompetent administrators imaginable.

There is no good news, there is little hope, and do you know I am almost at the stage, where whatever the outcome is, I don't know if I want to be associated with one con man after another. I don't know if I want to give these people
Any more money.

I am fed up with the moronic element of our support who at every turn do things that give us a bad name. The sectarian bile that is just under the surface.

My father came back from Barcelona in 72 and said he would never be back following the behaviour of the louts. I am not talking about the fans who ran on the pitch, and were assaulted by the policia. I am talking about the drunken scum that follow us. I was in Manchester and witnessed the same scum and said I would not be back because I was embarrased by the behaviour of the few. My Dad went back after Barcelona, I went back after Manchester, the draw and love for my club made me go back.

The sectarianism, the bile, the shady dealings, the lies, the deceit , the sheer greed. It might be time to put us out of our misery.

Dont let them win mate, name and shame the BA@*ARDS. What they have caused today for you and the good rangers fans like you is beyond contempt and sabotage. F@*KING SELFISH b**tardS. I can tell your hurting, that's obvious. Any honest Celtic fan will tell you it's not all of u we don't like it's them. We have our fair share aswell. Banners about blood stained poppies.....I was raging, almost walked out that day. Not for good but on that day. I realised on my way home that I would have been missing watching the team i love and what I look forward to all week for a few F@*NY'S trying to make a statement if you could even call it that. NO F@*KIN CHANCE. They are a minority and you and the other REAL rangers fans need to stand together and rid your club of it. Anyways good luck wee chief, I hope your team get some good news soon god know it's Long overdue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed....but its a personal decision for the individual...every club has this element...go to west ham....millwall...all the same....if you have kids ...give the jersey every year.....if there is one...deecee

I'm a tic man and it makes me mad to read your post mate. Usual scum who we wouldn't want near anything decent. Let's hope the bears survive , have a purge and get owned by the fans. And while I'm wish listing the SPL/SFA get replaced by a proper governing body who come down hard on fans behaviour across the board. I have a 2 year old and we live abroad but I knw I will take him to Parkhead one day nd we will cherish the memory. Outrageous the bears have now lost this. Atb

Agree0 Disagree0

Minority rules,no matter where you go whether it be race, religion or in this case fans. You have no control over it.It's okay to say"I'll stop following Rangers" but your punishing yourself for enjoying football, most big clubs have a minority of fans like this.Keep your chin up and don't let them grind you down! As i said it's a MINORITY

Agree0 Disagree0

I must admit we do get some morons hanging on to the club the watp brigade dont do us any favours if you dont follow the gers for football and use the club as a motive for hate dont come back we dont need you as for the emails and banners do us a favour we dont need you no wonder we are hated so much this minority have held the club back for years im fed up with it too talk about biting the hand that feeds you i feel sorry for the decent rangers fans and familys going to the games and ps dont call me a timmy or a dhim my family have been following the gers for over 120 years im really disapointed mr miller never got a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

What a great post OP, not once did you let it degenerate into an anti anything tirade, purely a genuine outpouring of despair, contempt, disgust at all the things you hold dear about your club, I applaud your honesty and commiserate with fans like yourself wholeheartedly. I'm a Celtic fan, the poppies thing by an element of our fans was an embarrassment and shows absolutely no historical understanding. By all accounts Celtic had more players killed in World War I than any club in Britain, these idiots don't know they sully their memory too. After having beaten Rapid Vienna in 84 some nugget throws a bottle on the park (doesn't matter that it was nowhere near him for anyone about to point that out), they get a replay at Old Trafford, knock us out and get to the final v Everton. One I will never forgive is the wee tube that slapped Dida (AC Milan goalie), playful or not that night was ruined for thousands of Celtic fans pondering whether UEFA would hammer us with a replay, fine or points deduction after what was one of Celtic's finest European nights. In short OP, sadly every club has their moronic element, in recent times you've some at boardroom level too. That is a different kettle of fish I suppose, the ramifications of Whyte may have led to the suspicion of Miller but being a big fan of American sports I knew from day one any criticism of him would not go down well Stateside. At the Superbowl who is the trophy handed over to? The quarterback, team captains, head coach, MVP? Nope. The owner. They are seen as bringing something to the community, be it investment, a new team, whatever. The last thing Americans with money expect when they plan to invest in an ailing company is criticism. The banners at the Dundee United game and by all accounts the hundreds of emails sent to him was alien to how he would be received for planning to invest in say a minor league Baseball team (I make the comparison because at senior level the investment would be in the hundreds of millions, not £11.2m.) I don't think for a minute this was his main reason but it did give him a convenient justification, another legacy of the Whyte days alas, from absolute faith to none at all. Up to yourself OP what you do regards continuing to follow Rangers, the pull will be there to continue no doubt but the past 84 days have saw an endless rollercoaster of emotions for Gers fans and I don't think it will end any time soon. I sincerely hope whatever your decision you remain content with it till old and grey, all the best.

Agree0 Disagree0

As a Celtic fan, this post just confirms what I have thought for years. There are decent football fans who only want the best for their club and would go to the ends of the earth to do it and the first poster is definitely One of those. The real Rangers fans have had to suffer for years at the hands of the knuckle draggers that give your team a bad name. We also have them at Celtic and I agree with the previous poster that these animals who give our teams a bad name should be hounded out of football and let the real decent fans get on with supporting their team. I personally hope that Rangers can get closure on this sooner rather than later and we can continue our healthy competition between the 2 teams that we love so much. the knuckle draggers have no place in today's society and should not be allowed to drag a clubs name through the gutter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your so right in some of your thinking. As the world shrinks in size we still singing about things that happened hundreds of years ago.

What international company is going to take on a company that alienates another part of the population.

Sports companies or multinationals are out as Celtic orientated wouldn't buy their gear.

That leaves a stand alone business man (or two). How did they get their money? Why would thye throw it in a big hole? Why would they get tarnished with the sectarian p1sh?

Our only hope is some moron wins the European lottery when it is up about £1,000,000.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not an idiotic element.....the emails and banners are sinister....come on think, who really would do those banners or sponsor them? Only former directors jealous that Miller had won and was getting the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I said I'd never take my kids to a game for the very same reasons, but my dad said, "If you don't take them - the louts have won".

He was right.

It's OUR club too. I know some Rangers fans who say, shout & sing a lot of garbage, but I know far more decent fans who know that, while they love their team, then know it's only a game of football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do that and the scum win. Scottish football will never progress if we cant rise above this. The Pope does not curse other Christians (or any other religion for that matter) and King William has been dead a very long time. Rangers is not about that. The vast majority want to watch football. My despair is even naming and shaming the B@@tar@s, the law does little to help.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more OP. I'm officially scunnered and getting to the stage of past caring due to this prolonged pantomime. Seriously thinking about watching the juniors next season whatever the outcome.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was wrong there are decent rangers fans out there..god speed lads.

Agree0 Disagree0

As said above, support your team the right way. The dinosaurs are becoming extinct slowly but surely. Every club has an element who are no better than the dogsh*t on your shoe. They are not wanted by the club and society in general. Dont let them win, rise above them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said these fans always let the club down

Agree0 Disagree0

Hear hear! I'm much the same myself mate. Just about had enough of all this and i suspect there's more to come. Bill Miller was interested in saving the club until he had a look 'under the bonnet' and then he was off in a flash after what he saw. Also the fans message to Bill Miller was disgraceful if you ask me. The banners etc were just nonsense and has not helped the cause in any way. I fear it really is the end now and up till now I've been trying to stay very optimistic. Very sad day indeed but maybe it is time for Rangers to hang up their boots and close the doors. Thoroughly depressing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our great club is on its knees and idiotic so called fans aarent helping with their bile. Forget west ham and mill wall our problem is far worse. Its so deep rooted these idiots refuse to let it go. Its harming our club and tarnishing our proper fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

This moronic element has done it again with their actions against Bill Millar. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you ? Unfortunatly, this " small minority " of fans , as Derek Johnston calls them , are not a small minority - there are thousands of them . You know it . and so does DJ . And it will be this toxic element within rangers that will help sink the club !

Agree0 Disagree0

Please stick with us mate, one less decent fan is like one more bam! If and when we get through this mess, we need fans like you to take the good name of the club forward!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the original poster and the celtic fan (honest and compelling).

It is MEN like you that still make me proud to be a fan of Rangers, The Old Firm and Football!

Yes there are the dregs of society that tie themselves to us and other clubs but where else in this day an age does the passion run so high, the adreline push so high whilst just standing and the jubilation of a win happen in what is at the end of the day just a GAME!

I love this sport, I love my team and will not let these scum drive me out!

Yes times are going to be hard but im not here for just the glory days!

Every season is a new adventure no matter who we play! Rangers are Rangers no matter who owns them.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is one of best posts I've saw on the subject. If more decent fans like this stood up against the morons we'd all be in a better place. I'm a Celtic man and feel the same about the moron that attach themselves to my club. Maybe something good will come out of this mess after all. For the sake of the decent supporters I sincerely hope Rangers pull through.

Agree0 Disagree0

We really need to look at the people who are winding these idiots up and causing the good name of Rangers to become even more tarnished, than it is. I think we all know who they are!

Agree0 Disagree0

What I find really sad about this posting are the comments. Disagree 24 to 8 that agree when I came on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish more Rangers fans would have your opinion. However I believe that YOU are in the minority and not the Scum.
The Scottish League has long since been plagued by corruption that offers aide to a single element (Rangers). The Loyal Referees (Dallasgate, Mr Brines etc...) give blatantly Pro-Rangers decisions and influence titles over a season with 50:50 decisions. The relationship between the SFA and Rangers that permits directors travelling from one to the other is corrupt. Campbell O for example (who enjoyed illegal EBT payments). The Scottish game WOULD NOT prosper without Rangers, but it would be an honest competition that I would gladly pay to watch.
I could not be any happier with the demise of Rangers. Even happier with the prolonged painful method by which it has transpired.
I only hope that UEFA can pressure the SFA to remove 15+ years worth of tainted titles and cups from the records based on dual contracts and EBTs. Many an honest football club will benefit from this correction by being awarded retrospective titles.
My 2 cents.
(Sorry if the use of American currency is not appropriate... with Mr Miller, the lone Ranger's bid going Tonto yesterday)

Agree0 Disagree0

There is hope !!

Quite superb post and delighted to see some fellow Rangesr fans agreeing to most of the original post, delighted to also see the comments from Celtic fans. As most posters have said each club has idiots - would find it hard to say any in the top flight of Scotland or England who can claim to be clean on that front. Maybe this will waken a few people up and realise that proper supporters do not want blood and thunder - just fair play.

Excellent post. I grew up in Ayrshire and was surrounded by morons singing about killing Catholics etc. it's no wonder rangers fans are hated because of the idiots that have attached themselves to your club. These idiots have it bred into them. I saw a 2yo kid the other day shouting f the pope! Parents sitting proud as punch! Because I am surrounded by rangers fans I don't see or hear Celtic idiots spouting bile but that's not to say it doesn't go on. The poppy sign made my blood boil. I'm a Celtic fan and my brothers were in the army. Why can't football just be about bloody football?!?!?! Hate it. I hate all the bloody HATE!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye its that great a post most people have disagrred with it

Agree0 Disagree0

Every club is the same. Most supporters (and I'm including both sides of the OF) are just normal people who follow their team & like their football. The problem is they're just watching the game when the idoits are singing about things which have nothing to do with football. You wouldn't put up with it anywhere else, so why is it acceptable at a football match? The good fans everywhere (at every club) need to make their voices heard more.

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem for some of our element is that time has moved on its the 21st centuary all these old songs dont have a place at ibrox its about time these morons were told to leave its about self policing the stands ourselves name and shame ok no team is whiter than white and have there bad element i have heard the singing myself and cringe the days of n. p ..e o. r ..e and b...y boys should have no place in our ground i always knew with these kind of songs that breed hatred would not go down well with potential buyers of the club these songs of the past could be our death knell as some fellow bears need to change attatudes fast im sick to death of these knuckledraggers too who continue to sully the good name of the club and the decent rangers fan i go for the football and love my club i love good fun banter too with opposing fans the game should be about football and the love of our team not about a an excuse to continue to use our club as a tool of hatred i cant believe these idiots too who had the stupid banner and the moronic idiots that sent emails talk about thick as two planks no wonder the guy had no interest in buying the club these so called rangers fans are not real supporters im gutted sad bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Some of us bears just want to go and watch the match on a satarday see a good game of fitbaw without the bile great post

Agree0 Disagree0

"My 2 cents" - never left a name, but grow up. For every decision that you said went against Celtic, I could give you one back that went against Rangers. So could every other team in the league. You mention Brines and Dallas - what about Valentine in the 1989 Scottish cup final. What about Wallace's goal at Xmas.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am enjoying this heartfelt plea by rangers fans that its a small minority that sing sectarian songs. My only thought is to when the entire stadium is singingthe billy boys - does that not count ? I have been to ibrox many times & It's NOT a minority singing that.

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem here is that can everyone who has posted put their hands up and say that they did not join in with the bile sung during the match after administration came about. I do hope it is true that people can change for change in our attitudes is what is required. I have taught my sons and grandson that these songs are wrong and that people are equal and should be treated with respect - even those from the USA.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree why are these daft songs allowed at ibrox they have nothing to do with football sing the new rangers songs which im all for these songs dont do us any favours in the long term love the club love the football hope some fellow bears heed this ps the watp bunch dont help either

Agree0 Disagree0

It's about time that BOTH Rangers and Celtic fans gave themselves a reality check ! Both are bigoted, both are guilty of secterian bile. Rangers have their "Up to their knees" attitude while Celtic have their "IRA" attitude. Get rid of both scum. We (Celtic & Rangers) are both SCOTTISH clubs, Not Irish, Not English, SCOTTISH ! and proud of it. If you are a decent fan of either club, start standing up for what you believe in. Stop the morionic element taking control of the situation. Only then can we both enjoy our rivalry without the bile and cancer of secterianism.

Agree0 Disagree0

The wee diddy that slapped DIDA got lifted and banned. You only hear half a dozen at most giving it ooh aah up the rah now, because they know the rest arent interested. You can weed them out. Most of them dont leave or get banned...They start behaving themselves because they know everyone is not having it. The first time i got a ticket for and old firm game at Ibrox. 1-0 to rangers Kevin Thompson scored. My mate got me a ticket from someone on his bus and i went on the bus with them. Magic day appart from the result. But what i remember about it the most is that the guy who runs the bus knew i was a new face and took me aside as we rolled up to ibrox and warned me politely but with physical harm that if i went in to ibrox and sang any IRA s**te or embarassed the club i would get a belt in the chops when i got back on the bus. Needless to say i bahaved as i always do with regards to singing anyway. We ended all going out for a drink afterwards, nice guy, and was just making his point clear. What im trying to explain is that the minority does not rule, not in this case, not in most cases i believe. They CAN be named, and they CAN be shamed. They are not real supporters and should be treated as outsiders for theyre contempt towards your club.

To the above post. That is totall nonsense mate season ticket holder for over 20 years. Billy Boys is not sung by the whole stadium and hasnt been for a good number of years. When idiots try to start the song they get drowned out before the chorus starts. I can not comment on what happens outside the stadium or in cities and towns. There isn't much Rangers as club can do to stop morons singing there bile on saturday night on the way home from the pub or standing about street corners.I have a 7 year old son this has been his first season as season ticket holder. If the singing was still taking place there is no way id even consider taking him. As a club we will forever be tarnished with bigoted songs. Wether there sang or not.

As for the original post superb summoned up how the majority of Rangers fans feel. We cant let the knuckledraggers & conmen win though. If we do go out of existence i dont feel sorry for myself ive enjoyed going to games win lose or draw. Its my son and the kids of other fellow bears that go to the football with there dad's. The whole passion will be lost to them.

The good news is that it is not ALL clubs. Maybe if Rangers do have to go into the lower divisions with the diddy clubs that you deride the fans that go with them will learn that some just go to see a game of football.

FAO Reply to my2cents:

You've cited 2 decisions over 20+ years.
Good memory.
Well done!

My stance and opinons remain.

The Scottish Game is corrupt to the benefit of Rangers.

LOL...

My 2 Cents did not leave a name.

Maybe McCoist will make a plee to have me named?

Shouldn't really respond to you (2 cents) but I believe more teams have suffered incidents going against them when they have played the old firm, than for them ... ergo both the old firm are in the same boat.

Great sentiment in the first posters (and subsequent genuine Celtic guys). Well done to you all, and if the majority (which i believe incidently are good 'uns) could influence the small minded neantherdals by naming and shaming, then i believe we could clean our game up.

I also believe and not for sinister reasons, that the "leadership" and "stewardship" of our Scottish game, is well past its sell-by date.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good to see this topic being discussed about time too both sets of fans are just as guilty its old hat these songs anyway no place in the modern game as a ger im against any of these songs

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you saying that the there hasn't been an occasion in the past twenty years that the billy boys has not been sung by the whole stadium ? i do hope you are not being serious ?

Agree0 Disagree0

We don,t need you or folk like you.IT appears you do do walking away.
We will be back and hopefully you wont be there!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read the first few replies to this post
so thanks to the Celtic fans . Good to see that we arn't all bitter. Makes a refreshing change. Cheers guys!

Agree0 Disagree0

Be nice if u could learn to read I never wrote it has not been sung by the whole stadium for 20 years. I wrote a good few years. Admittedly Rangers do have a bad history of sectarian policies as a club they made great strides to change and leave the past behind. The majority of fans have also changed. Most of the young supporters growing up now do not hold these views and feelings. The club & majority of the supporters should not be blamed for the actions of a**eholes that have no place in a decent society.

Agree0 Disagree0

I must admit this post has been very positive i think fans did sing these songs in the past without thinking of the words i agree i take my family to ibrox and get the kids to sing the new songs but im afraid you still get the usual idiot to start up these old songs when you think about the words they are not nice hopefully we can come up with some more new songs to create a better freindly atmosphere i love the football the passion etc and dont hate anyone by no means are we perfect just like other clubs the morons once inside a football ground think they can shout anything hopefully the section of our support will change or in future or not to be asked back when i take the family it can cost a small forture so you are looking for a good game passionate fans without the hatred bit a good game of football and the rangers to win hopefully things will improve with no disrepect to decent fellow bears

I don't see a way out of this now. Are we to believe that there are three bids that have appeared in the last few days, the club has been for sale for years, and as soon as a preferred bidder is named suddenly three bids appear.

I expect the Blue Knights or more likely Kennedy to appear again, but realistically how much are they going to bid, whatever it is it was much less than millers, and so
I don't see how a CVA can be achieved. Remember Millers plan was to take the assets, and leave the toxic debt. Kennedy has always said that liquidation has to be avoided so less money up front, more debt, there is no way a CVA is possible.

The season ticket money cannot be collected, the income stops real soon and the players are going to walk. We probably have a week left.

I hope DM and CW are proud, they have ended 140 years, a club that means so much to so many people, a club that fans have died supporting, a club that has won more titles than any other club in the world. You have ruined it for millions throughout the world, and why?

Greed and ego. May you hang your heads in shame, and ever be remembered for what you have done.

Its a toss up between murray and whyte who was the biggest liar , its the im alright jack attitude with them now, or the 2 of them would have surfaced long before now doug

Agree0 Disagree0

Watch for a BBC panorama programme on David Murray on the 23 rd May. It is said to be explosive!

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray is the biggest liar as he kept it going for so long. Whyte is what he is, a business man making money. Very few nice guys make good businessmen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray knew the strength of whyte all along, he knew whtyes form and what his plan for rangers was ie liquidation but murray was desperate to be rid of rangers and whyte was the only show in town

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like the end is nigh, by that I mean total liquidation.
I suggest that the fighting fund be used to take over Kilsyth Rangers which could easily become the new RANGERS. We could work our way up from the Central League back the top.
Kilsyth have a tidy wee stadium which could be developed - and it's handy for Lidl!

Agree0 Disagree0

More titles than anyone else, hahaahahah through cheating , tax avoidance and bigotry. Take all your tainted titles and cups away and award them to the 2nd in leagues uv won and cup runners up and I think u will find you are by no means the self proclaimed 'most successful club in the world', I offer a 5 star disemblazening service, I will do it for FREE .....VEGIEBHOY

Let's put this one out there....there is a 'super' hospital currently being built in Govan that will regenerate Ibrox and Govan areas due to the need for housing, hotel, leisure facilities, retail complexes etc. Guess who's land will be neede to facilitate such a regeneration? Do you honestly think any 'would-be' buyers are just interested in the football side of Rangers?

Agree0 Disagree0

I used to say, the silence from Murray was deafening as he said nothing while others openly slated the club. All we've had since he sold us out to Whyte has been a weak apology. I say Murray should dig deep into his pocket, and pay the debts that he caused then he can walk away with a little dignity!

We urgently need clarification on what the hell duff and phelps are up to here this is the most protracted incompetent administarion process ever, deadline after deadline passes, "CW is an irelevance"no he's not BK refused prefferd bidder staus because they wont lodge £500K non refundable but Miller gets the status without laying down a penny! I assune that there is some form of professional ombudsman for these guys so should we not look to them for some guidance? Jim Duffy speaks well on clyde, having been through it you can almost hear the incredulity in his voice at how this is panning out.But at this stage i really do fear the worst, but like a lot of posters i am now at the "I dont care stage just want in ended one way or other" and as a longstanding fan that is hard to write

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of gers fans were also taking the ''I am alright jack' attitude towards creditors - until Miller walked away.

duff and phelps need to be removed am sick to death of these money grabbing little men saying they have another 3 bids irite then they talk some rubish we only have days to save our team we need start way getting duff and phelps removed

Believable34 Unbelievable7

Given how much in charges D&P have now accrued. I get the feeling that every month we are in administration is another penny coming off the CVA as the money that should be paying that pays D&P.

Here's an idea. Sack D&P (have them removed by the court) bring in new administrators and ask D&P to be part of the CVA. I wonder how they would like 5p in the £ for their bill after all it seems to be what they think is reasonable for everyone else................. everyone else except D&P that is!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not 3 bids. It's 3 interested parties.
And what are they interested in?
Not saving Rangers, but getting the stadium to rent it back to
