Saw an article on news now linking us to the CM tapia from feyenoord. Played 90 minutes against us at ibrox. Has 47 caps for Peru. 25 year old and can play CB too. Contract up end of the season but Dutch looking to make bit of cash as not wanting to lose on bosma .

SGL this may come as a shock to you but a team needs a squad. It covers for injury, suspension, loss of form or a player being rested.
Honest mate it’s not that hard to think we need more than three midfield players.
Oh and Davis won’t play for years to come.

As John says, we need to improve the squad always, the moment we stand still, we're what Celtic are becoming.
Before it was 'he's not good enough' now it's 'whose place does he take'.

I totally agree with you John25,a club does need a squad but at this moment in time imo, we don't need anymore midfielders, unless someone is sold, as we're well covered in that area for me. A right winger and striker we do need. that's why ross wilson and steven gerrard are trimming the squad just now mate. We have too many players, that are deemed surplus to requirements!

SGL this guy is available on a bosman so if we want him make a move. Ps we are short in midfield, king has gone, we say so can Docherty, Halliday Polster, Aribo is now seen as a more forward player.
It actually only leaves Davis, Arfield. Jack Kamara, a bit light
And folks don’t trot out list of average wingers who can play wide.

We might have too many players but we've got less than Celtic. It's not that we have too many, really, it's that the wider squad isn't quite good enough - Jon Flanagan and Andy Halliday just don't compare to Tav and Borna.

Looked into him a bit and looks a decent option. If he comes on a bosma I say good. I know our midfield is set just now but I think we need better back up. If we get an I jury the player coming in isn't far off the injured one we don't have that just now. We have our core players but if a couple out of davis, kamara, jack, arfield and aribo get injured or suspended at same time we need a first team quality player to come in and take their place. I think we will let a lot of the out of contract players leave. 3 Gk, full back cover, midfield cover. Also ojo will return, players who haven't shown enough will leave and 1st team players will attract attention. We will bring in a few squad players and also need to replace any that are sold.

Mrgrumpy, jones is the only natural one in that position. The ojo aribo stewart barker not good enough in that position. Arfield is a stop gap in that position. Arfield is a central player👍.

There are many books on football tactics that you can read which explain the differences between the positions. Right forward and inverted winger are absolutely not the same, and if you can’t understand that it probably explains why you don’t seem to understand what’s going on half the time. 👍.

Ojo barker stewart are not good enough. Aribo is a stop gap and doesn't have the attributes that are required to play that position permanently, pace directness. Arfield same as aribo, central player. Jones has the attributes and ability, time will tell. Conclusion we badly need a natural RF👍.

Its not just my opinion, stewart ojo barker don't play for a reason and that's because they aren't first team material👍 that's why gerrard has had to play arfield and aribo in that position which is why they are stop gaps👍. Jones we don't know how he will perform in that position hence why we badly need a RF👍. Do we have to have 3 strikers? Just because have 2 doesn't mean we need another? If we were to sign a 3rd the level of quality of that player would be on a par with stewart so what would be the point, let's face it which player of any real quality is going to come to be 3rd choice? I would imagine none that are really any better than what we already have on the fringes. If we want to go up a gear then a natural RF with quality is what we need👍.

Football is a squad game. Aribo, arfield, Ojo, Stewart have played this season. With aribo, arfield and yes even your favourite Ojo contributing. We are thin up front, Morelos is banned, Defoe gets injured, leaves us with Stewart. I quite like Stewart and think he hasn't had a real chance yet. I've no idea if he can play up front as a main striker.

Stewart ojo barker are not good enough that's why they can't get a game. They will against stranraer, which is my point. yip they have played this season that's why they don't get much game time now👍 if's and buts with your ST theory, again if we sign a 3rd choice ST then they will be no better than stewart. No player of any real quality will want to be 3rd ST so again what would be the point. aribo and arfield are stop gaps hence why they are played out of position. You can go on about its a squad game all you want but our starting 11 picks itself and with the exception of defoe arfield when you look at our bench we don't have any real game changers. Hence why ohno stewart or barker never got near celtic. Tells its own story. 👍.

Until morello plays for someone else why slag him he's the best we or anyone else has got enjoy him just now then watch him elsewhere and see where we are with the money he generated for us.
