Apparently Alnwick on the verge of signing for Shrewsbury Town FC for a few in the region of £250,000.
Good luck to the lad.

08 Jun 2018 08:33:14
Prefer Alnwick as back up. He never got a proper chance. Shame really.

08 Jun 2018 09:24:53
Agree never got chance hopefully stays

08 Jun 2018 11:09:29
Kelly is better in my opinion and will take over from McGregor in a few years

08 Jun 2018 11:47:25
Kelly is going to Livi

08 Jun 2018 11:47:38
TGR. Sadly I don’t think he will be around long enough to
Now wee Robby McCrorie he could be the 1 to do so

08 Jun 2018 11:47:49
Kelly is away to livi on a 2 year deal

08 Jun 2018 11:51:29
I would love to know why 3 people think Alnwick leaving is unbelievable.
Sometimes it just baffles me on here.

08 Jun 2018 12:49:11
How does it baffle you? We've just signed a new keeper to be number 1. Alnwick is better (or at the very least has the potential to be much better than him if he's not better already) than Foderignham. Makes more sense to sell Fod and keep Alnwick

08 Jun 2018 12:57:25
If he does go I hope we get more than £250,000. He is worth a lot more than that. Plus stick a sell on clause in the agreement.

08 Jun 2018 14:40:55
Young Bobby mcrorie future no 1 and his twin cdm

08 Jun 2018 15:31:57
I didn’t post Alnwick is a dud keeper I posted a transfer rumour that has since been confirmed yet now 5 peoples disbelieve a fact.
If you post on here Rangers FC play at aIbrix Stadium you would still get disagrees.

08 Jun 2018 15:31:58
Alnwick is not better than foderingham, yet another bizarre comment on this forum.

08 Jun 2018 15:46:39
Scotty_52 have you not thought that people have pressed unbelievable because more has come out about the offer on him, he is not going to Shrewsbury now due to the fact they can not come up with the financial package to buy him, i for one are glad for once we are standing our ground on the fee and not selling for peanuts i would also personally keep him an: sell Fod for more money

08 Jun 2018 15:53:10
Foderignham isn't a very good keeper. Terrible at commanding his area and can't save anything down to his bottom right. Good with the ball at his feet and at close range but let's in too many shots from distance. He doesn't make in obvious changers but he still costs us goals. Glad McGregor is back that's for sure

08 Jun 2018 15:55:31
Also scotty the disagrees are probably people not liking/ disagreeing with the move rather than not believing the rumour

08 Jun 2018 17:30:06
Keep Alnwick and get shot of wes, easy decision. wes is one of the worst number 1s I can remember at rangers.

08 Jun 2018 17:52:52
If Mcrorrie can get another couple of seasons out on loan as first choice keeper then he will be ready to come home and challenge for number 1

08 Jun 2018 18:08:23
Read Shrewsbury have been priced out the move anyway so doesn't matter

09 Jun 2018 05:08:42
Oh and the rangers play at Ibrox. ; )

09 Jun 2018 07:08:34
Cant ask for a better no2 than foderingham, he is a great keeper but has had a shocking defence in front of him. Glad to see mcregor back tho

09 Jun 2018 08:30:33
Apparently alnwick to Shrewsbury is on the brink of collapse or has done.

07 Jun 2018 23:43:02
Why are we paying 3.5million for Connor Golden from Brighton whos hardly played last season when we could of got Johnny Evans for the same price? that's his clause cause WBA got relagated, i see he's agreed to join Leicester city we should of at least had a go at signng him as he's a much more experienced player and better than CG from Brighton, what do fellow bears think? did we let a really good deal slip through?

08 Jun 2018 02:19:15
Evans earns silly money. He’s way above our pay scale and with EPL teams interested it would ever happen.

08 Jun 2018 02:27:19
Because goldson will be on about 20/ 25k a week and evans will be on about 80k, well out of our budget

08 Jun 2018 04:33:48
Honestly Alex, what goes through your head? Do you even take a moment before posting nonsense like that? Have a word!

08 Jun 2018 06:14:31
Honestly some people shouldn’t be allowed on the internet.

08 Jun 2018 06:23:21
Think about it Alex! Cmoan man

08 Jun 2018 06:35:48
My only issue is we need to start off loading because we need the wage bill down so we can get decent players and wages not a problem but think things are starting to look good buzzing for the season to start 55 here we come

08 Jun 2018 06:58:19
We couldn't afford skrtels wages, and evans is on the same if not more than skrtel but your questionin why we never went for him.? Do people actually believe the stuff they write on here?

08 Jun 2018 07:51:00
Bargain.

08 Jun 2018 08:37:40
If this boy is on £25k a week then I think that says bye bye to alves really. Probably sell him for a nominal fee just to free up his wages. Works for me.

08 Jun 2018 09:16:16
Johnny Evans probably has a clause which he gets a massive signing on fee of millions, that is why he has a low transfer fee of £3-3.5 million, plus his wages will be somewhere between 80-100k per week,

08 Jun 2018 10:28:08
Any one who thinks Jonny Evans would come here on wages we could offer is deluded we're no where near competing on wages

08 Jun 2018 10:47:39
Evans agent got him between 6-9 million signing on fee because the release clause was so low. so never even on our radar

08 Jun 2018 12:50:43
Think you should apologise for this one Alex1972😂

08 Jun 2018 15:32:03
Alex1972 is right, we should have put a bid in and asked him if he wants to take an 80% drop in wages. I'm sure he's sitting gutted questioning his agent as to why he never got the opportunity to take such a decline in wages .

08 Jun 2018 16:23:42
MikeGer apologies for what for stating the obvious thatConnor Goldson is nowhere near worth 3.5million that was my main point and i mentioned Evans as to back my point that there are better players out there for the same or even less money like we could buy both Sutter and McKenna and still have a about a million and a half left off of the 3.5 we are willing to pay for CG i agree about Evans wages but Don't forget all the silly names we have been linked to and have been mentioned on here like Lucas Defoe etc etc its the same for them it was never going to happen because of there wages but Until recently with the Skertel no deal cause of wages nobody on here was saying we can't afford him or him cause of the wages, i only asked peoples opinion and was saying that CG from Brighton was nowhere near worth 3.5million so there will be no apologies for my opinion as like others i'm intieteld to.

08 Jun 2018 18:10:11
Hasn't McKenna now got a 2.5mil buy out clause? And souttar after last season is at least 1-2 million? I agree after the season they both had they should be our defence but they'll cost more than the 2.75 goldson is costing

08 Jun 2018 18:40:19
3.5 million is not enough for Jonny Evans so it's a ridiculous comparison. Looking at 6-8 million signing on fee plus agent fees.

08 Jun 2018 18:42:44
And then 80k per week is 4.1 million a year on top of that. So 3.5 million we can get evans for maybe 4 months?

08 Jun 2018 19:49:30
That was a poor attempt at saving face Alex. Your original post suggested we should have signed Evans instead, which is silly.

08 Jun 2018 23:58:45
MikeGer didn’t you see there was a £3m clause due to relegation, but if you tried to buy him from
Leicester then it would be silly money

09 Jun 2018 04:56:53
Alex: Goldson is nowhere near a £3 million pound player? Okay mate, well after speaking to Brighton fans on social media they are gutted to be losing him so cheaply, they really seem to like the guy and rate him just because you've never saw him play doesn't lower his valuation. Guessing you used to watch Bougherra every week before he signed? Give the lad a chance I'm happy SG has identified the need to spend to strengthen the defence with a British based player who could have real sell on value.

07 Jun 2018 22:17:35
Tell you what managing to get michael beale from liverpool is a real coupe for us . It's also a big statement he was willing to leave Liverpool to come here and work with Gerrard . very well respected with managers and other coaches .

08 Jun 2018 05:37:22
Thats great but we can't have the Liverpool youth team as Rangers first team this season

08 Jun 2018 10:23:19
Have to agree with Skidney - after that flurry of three half decent signings I'm concerned with the number of Liverpool kids we've not heard of being linked up here. Ejaria is absolutely not one I'm excited by tbh.

08 Jun 2018 11:47:01
too many sceptical bears on here. true Ejaria is an unknown quantity but everyone is at start of career. give the kid a chance

everyone harps on about his performance for Sunderland not being anything special last season, what do you expect? his first taste of senior level football, playing in a team that were struggling, so low on confidence and full of garbage players. anyone would struggle there

if there's one thing i'm confident in is that SG knows a midfielder when he sees one. Ejaria playing in a team that's ( hopefully ) playing well and winning could be a great player. end of the day Liverpool wouldn't have given him a longer term contract if there wasnt a player in there

lets stop the negativity and get behind the lad and anyone that is lucky enough to pull on our jersey

08 Jun 2018 11:56:10
"first taste of senior level football, playing in a team that were struggling, so low on confidence and full of garbage players*

So his second taste ain't much better is it?

08 Jun 2018 14:39:20
jbf - had six years of sh*te - fed up of blind loyalty and not questioning evidently dubious decisions.

We are surely allowed to have opinions? It's one thing to trust your manager, but another to not question anything.
