A don't think the thought of liquidation has hit home yet fellow bears bt by the looks of it it very near we have to stand up and be counted starting 2moro no more sitting about writing on websites listening to radios and watching the news...we need a leader the fans trust lets do this unite as 1 WATP.

Believable22 Unbelievable24

You can take our club, you can take our season tickets, you can even take our catering income, but you will never take our our optimism.

Agree0 Disagree0

So.......what you gonna do tomorrow?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why dont you just buy another club ? change it to rangers and sort of squat there until the club's fans go away. then rebuild it in your own image and leave ibrox to go the way of cathkin park. st. mirren would be ideal for this.
morton fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get C W & D & P out now as there all the same. Its all lies, lies lies

Agree0 Disagree0

This when the blame game starts from the directors sue and counter sue its his fault it their fault who owns assets it could get very mucky from now on in no one wants to take the blame

Agree0 Disagree0

This could end up in a possible legal wrangle

Agree0 Disagree0

Russell crowe couldn't get us not this mess

Agree0 Disagree0

What sense does WATP make? Is that the answer? WATP? And it will all go away?

Someone gift our club 1 million to give us a month..
Cull all players who have no re-sale value which in turn decreases wages..
In the Summer sell the players with value to the highest bidders..
Arrange cva to pay back debts over ten years (win or lose tax case)..
New owner, debt re-structured..
WE STILL HAVE OUR CLUB..

Believable10 Unbelievable25

It will have to be 4.3 million but you are right, it is the price of Rangers History.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wont happen. if u donate 1 million it goes to creditors

Agree0 Disagree0

You should be on £600 an hour.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct, one million would buy us time to offload the big wages that make the club un-viable to run.
The debt, whatever that may be, can be dealt with by way of a cva.
And no, if money is gifted then it goes to Glasgow Rangers, not to the creditors, administrators or to pay off any debt. Purely to Glasgow Rangers.
Good idea, someone out there must have a million to save their club.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is vital that we keep our club and it glorious history. It pains me to say this but if Rangers are to be no more and a new club is formed, my love and support will die with the original club. We are Rangers fans, i don't want to support another team. 66 people died watching and supporting our club, the club they loved. There memory and all of the memories, 72, 9 in a row, most league titles in the world will all be lost. The cost of our history is priceless. If Rangers as a football club die, then Scottish Football dies too. So to all the people who are loving this, without Rangers we ALL lose. Rangers (and no other) til i die.

Agree0 Disagree0

The company is in Administration not liquidation, an Administrator is duty bound to use funds in the best interests of the creditors. Rangers is worth more as a going concern and a 4.3 million gift wil retain 20 million pounds of assets.

Its a no brainer, I repeat if there is anyone out there who wishes to become Rangers greatest Legend then donate 4.3million to the Administrator and save their history.

No conditions, it is a gift.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey any zombies out there wanna give away £4.3m? So funny couldn't make it up.....post above says fans have promised £12m, there you go 3 months!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think I have a few bob down the back of the couch, so i am going to launch a bid for rangers as soon as I can get it.

Agree0 Disagree0

For goodness sake pleased come back to planet earth and take what ever medication your due to take. there is no one with the amount of money needed who will gift it with no conditions. The hard fact is we overspent and now must pay the piper

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesnt matter still not going to put money in the bank

Agree0 Disagree0

Am i right in saying the administrators cant accept donations from fans as a gift? So we cant get any money into the club, by selling players or gift aid. If Rangers own Murray park , which we're not sure of can we not purchase it with the use of the save rangers fund which at last look pledges were about £12m. ie set up a company for the purchase of murray park and lease it to Rangers for £1 a month. As i say don't know who holds the cards for murray park ,but if not there must be another asset a fans company could buy , even the bike donated by spurs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your the zombie my friend, 12 million would be 12 months not 3.
The club needs 4 million to stay afloat till the end of the season. Buy a calculator.

Agree0 Disagree0

But a club with a tarnished past and no business credential.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can Craigy or Murray not donate a couple of million. You could probably call them billionairs!

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Ally and his showbiz pals putting in a couple mil each, oh and Gordon ramsy.....and Sean Connery used to sit beside David Murray.....and he's got loadsa pals....which other embarrassed famous people? Jim white at sky is worth a few million.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 23:11:22
so guys, our great club is going into liquidation simply because the players didnt want to take the 75% wage cut to make things stable enough till end of season, just brilliant, where are our billionaire fans now eh? and yeh theres a possible 90 odd million debt.. but i swearr if i had the money i would save us, would be a privelage actually.

Believable28 Unbelievable14

You get the rest of the blue bears to take a 75% pay cut till the end of the season. I mean all the fans! Fancy it?

Agree0 Disagree0

How would you feel if the goverment asked you to take a 75% cut in dole money?Dont blame the player years of cheating has caught up pay up or close the doors

Agree0 Disagree0

You and me both big guy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sad to say these running costs could end up to be 136 million pounds including tax cases ticketus debts players wages staff wages future tax and paye stadium refubishment rangers has been mismanaged with nothing resolved as yet and the future uncertainty a potential buyer must see what he is getting for his money at this point the loss is greater than the investment

Agree0 Disagree0

The club is going into liquidation because of the Murray era, not paying taxes, not paying bills, possible double contracts. The Rangers players have a contract. They need to be released or paid.

Agree0 Disagree0

What should have happened is that the top 10 earners should have been made redundant on day one and the season tickets should have been torn up. That way you may have limped to the end of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

No, if we go into liquidation it won't be "simply because" the players wouldn't take a pay cut. Understand that there have been a few other issues that have led us to this point. It's not the fault of the players in any way, shape or form that we are in this position and I support their right to both look after the interest of themselves and their families, particularly of their stand helps to protect the jobs on the other staff at the club who will not be able to walk into another jobif things go badly. Don't blame the players.

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant blame the players or staff this problem has been ongoing for many years mr murray put in millions to bring down the debt to 27million pounds in 2010 as a result of over spending back to 1999

Agree0 Disagree0

The club has lived beyond its means since 1999 dbts were brought down to 27million in 2010 much of the debt had been brought down from previous years only now is the club feeling the affects the club is not a viable product at this time hence the loses of 1 million pounds a month and the two possible tax liabiltys outstanding debts players wages running costs no european income loss of ticketus revenue staff wages also have to be paid power costs council tax the list goes on administrators have to be paid last its a sorry sorry state for the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Gift the Administrator 4.3 million pounds, avoid liquidation and keep al your best players long enough to sell them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Which is why SDM and CW have millions and you don't. They let the head rule the heart not the other way round.

Agree0 Disagree0

SDM & CW have have buried the club. Murray is primarily to blame for this, Whyte did his usual and pounced on a sinking ship to line his own pockets. The years of Murrays abuse of the club now come to a head. Afraid its time to face facts; without a billionaire sugar daddy we are finished. This ain't me giving up on club, but the list of creditors is endless & ticketus deal finished any chance we had as now have no income. Shame on you SDM & CW, you killed our club for your own gain

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic man here enjoying the pain but must admit I can feel this guys real pain at the situation. I believe if he had it he would give it to save his club. Been badly let down by Murray who has really been the architect of your downfall. Whyte is simply an opportunist who has been shown to have very little integrity and I think we all agree came into this to make a fast buck and he still might do.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 22:31:40
When Liverpool were owned by the yanks there was protests outside the ground, where r the rangers fans protests ?

Believable27 Unbelievable10

Protest about what? Whyte isn't there at the mo. What will it achieve?

Agree0 Disagree0

The horses have bolted

Agree0 Disagree0

Its hard for people to protest when they feel there is nothing they can achieve. They are not protesting against a management which had entered in good faith and merely been unsuccessful and requires some extra force for them to realise it is time to move on.

They would be protesting against a man who by the looks of thing has actively tried to destroy this club for his own personal benefit.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been posting here for the last year saying that stuff was about to hit the fan but noone believed me and in fact a lot ridiculed me - the reason we have got to this stage is because there has been a general apathy to any talk of financial trouble.

I cannot understand why the press were no giving us the heads up when we were hearing (what has now turned out to be true) about disaster from various other sources

Agree0 Disagree0

Most fans know the truth, the club are cheats!

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 22:27:00
Where r all the fan protests shocking fan just sitting back watching club die do we care ?

Believable28 Unbelievable13

Your right lets protest in mass numbers. Long overdue in my opinion. So many posts sayin theres a protest at this time and noone turns up. Its madness. Lets go up to his castle and smoke the rat out lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

To late now - should have been done 2 years ago.
a mobilisation of fans like celtic did in 1994

Agree0 Disagree0

No point now is to late should have been done when bbc broke the whyte story but loads of fans an fans groups just burried there head in the sand i for one never wanted whyte in charge

Agree0 Disagree0

I say we should organise a protest outside ibrox this friday at 6pm we should post it all over facebook email the blue order and union bears and try and get something done

Agree0 Disagree0

This is far too late in the day a share issue should have been set up about 18 months to 2 years ago

Agree0 Disagree0

You didn't complain and panic when there was 80m of debt, because you didn't care as because it brought results. You take the devils gold, you take the paupers punishment.

Agree0 Disagree0

This too late the fans should have organised on the first day of administration

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah! Your agents will Delay the protest for another week, season ticket holders will want share of bust fares to protest!

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree 6pm on Friday 100% need this to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

I laughed when the selick fans did this ..But it worked out for them.Too late now we should have done this long ago

Agree0 Disagree0

There was a share issue a few years ago when 'sir' David Murray was chairman. he had to rebuy 86% of the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

6pm at the Stadium or Murray Park? Let's get it straight, get the word out and let's protest against everyone c**t who has put our club on the brink

Agree0 Disagree0

Great idea lets protest after close of business on the friday after D & P may have pulled the plug no wonder we are in a sh!t£ heap of bother

Agree0 Disagree0

When celtic fans done this it was months before the old board left bit late in the day

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct to bring down debts the fans should have bought the club years ago with a new stategy and fan only share issue

Agree0 Disagree0

You wanna a protest how about no one go the the D Utd game or the Septic match. Shut up. Protesting is too late. We need to become part of save rangers and put our money up te buy our club. Not sit outside bitching about people who aren't there who have bailed out. Get a grip.

Agree0 Disagree0

This should have been done weeks ago far far to late

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip fellow bears the stable door has been left open the horses have bolted wake up

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets try and spread the word all over facebook twitter rangers forums blue order to try and get to murray park tonight at 6pm

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 22:21:58
If rangers are liquidisers then cw could not own ibrox and claim a rent from the new owners, everything is paid off to pay debts so that theory is tosh, Murray park would be ok it seems as I've heard that the murray group own that so would not be included in the fire sale.
To recap liquidation means cw loses out aswell he couldn't just keep ibrox and ticketus are just another creditor wanting monies that they won't get in full, hence the reason they are so willing to be part of a takeover and have never mentioned part of a newco.

Believable11 Unbelievable17

Craig Whyte has an £18m floating charge over Rangers assets. In the event of liquidation Whyte has the legal right to the first £18m of assets. The likeliehood is that Ibrox will be the main asset so he will have first entitlement to it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can he not keep it if he puts the stadium under another company? It means liquidation only applies to Rangers FC!
Therefore he keeps the stadium. He has previously stated the club and Murray park were safe!

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte wants liquidation as he would get ibrox as he is the main creditor.
i heard he has ring fenced ibrox to make sure

Agree0 Disagree0

Murry Park is own by Rangers FC the business itself and is unable to be sold for housing or property as its in a council green band area. If Rangers continue in whatever circumstances Murry Park is likely to stay with the club.
The preferred options for Rangers are for the unlikely buy out and pay off or for the creditors to reach a CVA for the club to come out of administation in which they stand to loose greatly. However liquidation would see them loose further as the majority are unsecured creditors are the playing staff and other staff redundancies would take priority and with whatever money is left available would be distributed proportionately to the remaining unsecured creditors

Agree0 Disagree0

If rangers are to be liquidised can i switch the machine on ?

Agree0 Disagree0

OK so we keep Ibrox and Murrray park, but how do we pay for the council tax for both with the current history will the councils give us credit, dont tinks so, its all now about after so lets stop harping back to the good old days and wishing for a resue package, the fans should now be planning for how we will approach the future, so that Rangers in what ever shape or form has a sustainable future and fan based ownership!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 22:09:18
Anyone remember a post a couple of weeks ago re;Rangers applying to use Hampden next season? It was shot down as another "timmy" noise up.well it might be true.If liquidated this might be held over in a legal minefield for years, all relating tp the floating charge holder(whyte). It seems he has thought of everything.

Believable17 Unbelievable9

07 Mar 2012 21:50:57
Looks like Aluko is going to West Ham and Naysmith is going to Everton?

Believable16 Unbelievable24

Thats all good but what about Naismith?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, Everton are in the habit of buying crocks, lolol. Wish Aluko well though, he was schooled at the mighty Aberdeen, possibly wishing he was still at such a club. The grass aint always greener Sone

Agree0 Disagree0

Auld crocks aye jog on timmy , guy was , is best player spl has

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 21:46:20
I also heard this from a good source. Whyte planned to buy Rangers using the Ticketus money which he personally guaranteed so in effect the money belongs to him even though the deal is struck against Ibrox seats (Including any concerts)
He has about 6 mill + 5 mill from jelavic in another account.

Ibrox will be rented back to the newco when formed and whyte will cover the instalments cost through the newco Rangers hiring of the stadium.

4 years later he will have paid off ticketus and offer the newco Rangers to buy the stadium for say £25-30 million.

In effect he will have made roughly 35-40 million after the 4 years all for £1.

Believable28 Unbelievable13

If hes still around to spend it ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Good luck to the guy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Newco rangers don't have to play at Ibrox. That would really stick it to him and leave him having to find money to pay back Ticketus.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you suggesting Shyte is planning to buy the club if a CVA can be reached with HMRC ?

Until we know what HMRC will settle for I can't see anyone (inc Shyte) buying the club. Paradoxically, HMRC are unlikely to agree anything until the outcome of the "big tax" case is known and it won't be know until next month.

I gather that Paul Murray is proposing a "conditional deal" but I can't see this being acceptable to the administrators. The administrators are looking for and need certainty.

I thought the administrators talking about "accelerating the sale process" was an interesting choice of words. This suggests 2 things to me: 1) they have at least one interested party & 2) they're trying force the pace. I also think the administrators might be using the threat of liquidation as a "rouse" to flush out buyers and at the same time negotiate creditors down a settlement in the £.

I still think liquidation is unlikely and we'll struggle on in administration until a buyer puts a deal " on the table". This will only happen once a CVA is struck with HMRC. This needs to happen in April / May coz no one is going to renew their season ticket until they know who owns the club and it's in "safe hands" with an assured future.

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

This doesnt make a lot of sense. A liquidated Rangers will have already had to sell Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

Liquidation is a certainty and was planned by CW.

When are fans going to stop dreaming, this has been going on for years. You may have watched your last game at Ibrox for some time.

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true this is really smart in a buisness sense! But ill be ragin he done this to our club! How the hell did he get in charge of our club :(

Agree0 Disagree0

When we get through this shambles, what would happen if the fans dont re-new their season tickets. What would happen to the 24 million that he borrowed on the strength of the season tickets?

Agree0 Disagree0

If he does it you'll be at best 54 full stop. no more 9 in a row. you'll start at the bottom unless a deal can be reached with the spl who probley wont cause its giving the impression that not paying taxes and other teams is ok if your rangers. so you'll have to go to division 3 if you get a licence to. if you get into the spl you'll have no team cause all contracts are cancelled and cant play in europe for 3 years. so again this shows a lack of investment. so by year 3 ur team is still substandard and craig whyte will be in living it up with yours and hmrc's money

Agree0 Disagree0

The ticketus money was used to pay off the bank? so what is he going to buy rangers with?

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 21:31:03
What's happening about going to the Dumferline game is it still on.

Billy.

Believable5 Unbelievable20

Billy,

As a fellow true blue who cares about Dunfermline, the administrators have done a deal with them.

Keep your money and put it towards saving our club. Watch this space.....

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the point we will be finished Friday night nobody going to waste £100m on a club that then has to start from scratch no players stadium etc i think it's all over!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dundee utd? It might be a strange one they are owed £87k at present from scottish cup ... And will ask for tkt money in advance

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a Rangers fan on this planet cares about going to a Dunfermline match after tonights revelations.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunfermline could be your new club to support. Come on the Pars, Come on the Pars.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clachnacuddin for me folks

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 20:51:00
the answer to this question is probably very legalistic but here it is - can administrators agree a sale with an interested party without agreement of CW? in other words, does he have the authority as owner to block any proposed sale if he wishes to do that

Believable7 Unbelievable5

What's the answer to that

Agree0 Disagree0

Well yes. Unless he is deemed not to be a fit and proper person. He owns 85% of the shares, so he needs to agree to sell them. Just need to hope that the inquiry rules that the takeover was illegal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes they can do this

Agree0 Disagree0

Well they have clearly stated they want CW to go asap as its really hard to sell the club to potential buyers if the con man stays.

But i'm not sure if he could stop the sale of rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

No.whytes the man im afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

The club is in administration. Which simply means D & P have been assigned to look after business affairs in Rangers behalf instructed by the court. On sale CW will be a custodian of funds from sale ....it smells like this was the plan long time ago ....D&P have given interested parties sufiicient time the club will be churned for assets. Stadium potentially leased back to prospective new owners etc This is reality not made up wee chicco fiction there are no serious players going to throw 50m (without penalties) at HMRC ... THIS IS THE END

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, they can, because CW doesn't run the company anymore, the administrators do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Administrators run rangers fc by appointment of the court in session

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he can yes, he is still the owner of the 85% majority of shares.

Agree0 Disagree0

D&P run it but CW major share holder and must be consulted on sale or liquidisation inevitable

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte is the main secured creditor so all assets belong to him anyway rather than rangers plc. so basically, without his permission there is nothing to sell !

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for answers to my question - leave aside the emotional stuff on Whyte and focus on the legalities - i am still not clearf

1. is he STILL the owner
2. on what basis is it claimed the administrators are the owner - not sure that is correct
3.if he is the owned and can only be removed if he breached Company law, surely that will take a lot of time to establish so can he still block any proposed sale
4 administrators are now looking for bids - does that suggest they can proceed or would any bid have to be accepted by cw
i only ask because i don't know the answer

any commercial lawyers out there?

Agree0 Disagree0

The court did not oppoint them. Whyte chose d&p as administator. Do you really think the court would choose a company from the other side of the country. And a recent ex employee happens to be best chums with the "whyte knight". Are you havin a laugh. We will just have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime we need to show these guys they cant take us for mugs. We are filling the stadium but we need to protest. Much smaller teams have put up bigger protests than us. Im dissapointed with this. WE R THE PEOPLE, remember.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is still the owner, the administrators are working for the court on behalf af all creditors and as he is the main secured creditor, they are basically working for him anyway, madness i know. on another point. any money put into keeping rangers running would have to be a gift, with no chance of repayment as when in admin you cannot borrow or secure any money on existing assets.

Agree0 Disagree0

The running of the club and the ownership of the club are two seperate matters. The administrators are running the club on behalf of the court. However, Whyte has a 85.3% shareholding of the club, and even in administration it is upto him whether he decides to sell or not, the administrators have no control over this.

Agree0 Disagree0

I asked the question - that last post seems to me to be the most accurate assessment - i am a celtic fan but i wish you well in all of this

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but was his take over legal. He used rangers future ticket sales monies to buy the club - not his own money. Apparently he lied about this and abou putting 8-9mil of is own money in. If proved they were both lies then the deal could be struck out

Bu lets not forget the big tax case. If the wee tax case doesn't do for rangers the big one likely will

Agree0 Disagree0

CW is no loger the owner of HRMC but he is the prefered creditor over HMRC, the 24 million is secured against the ground and Murray Park. In effect he owns the ground, Murray Park and 60% of the next 3 years ticket sales.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cw makes out with all the cash ... Btw what he done was illegal: he bought the DM debt with his own cash then effectively remortgaged that cash with ticketus investment fund which he was entitled to do ...it was just a quick sleight of hand with a pound coin so to speak ...

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 20:36:18
Just heard on the radio sports 5 live, Mcgregor going to Spartack, Davis going to Sunderland and Whittaker to A. Villa. Anyone else heard this?

Believable20 Unbelievable21

Whilst I would be gutted to lose them, in the current situation I wish them all the best. But... I don't think they will go until they know what is happening with the sale

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would villa want whittaker he waz a poor replacment 4 hutton who the've got

Agree0 Disagree0

The transfer windows for these clubs are closed - better for them to wait on liquidation as they would het players for a song fro SFA

Agree0 Disagree0

This is not true whilst agents may have been working to ensure their clients future, they have to wait till we are officialy over they can do all th running about everything else is speculation

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot, Whyte already in Scottish castle

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 20:22:55
DSo we reall want dodgy Dave King
anywhere near the club?????????

Believable24 Unbelievable7

Well if a punt isn't taken on someone there won't be a club left!
At least Dave King has shown loyalty for over a decade whilst ploughing millions into the club!
If Rangers get through the next 72 hours then the sands will shift in our favour....mark my words, see you in 72 hours!

Agree0 Disagree0

Was he found guilty of tax avoidance in south africa? I'd take big dave over that person whyte any day, least he wont sell our f***in kitchenware.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big Dave would sell his gran if he could...
I think he's more crooked than slimeball craig

Agree0 Disagree0

King gave Rangers 20 million Whyte stole 20 million plus from Rangers.... I'd trust king over the lying little weasel d@ck any day of the week!

MidlandRanger

Agree0 Disagree0

South African tax authorities are still chasing him for £100 odd million.

I'm fairly sure that there is an order out against him taking over companies or being involved in the takeovers of companies but I'm willing to be corrected if I am wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think we have a choice fellow bears! I dont care who takes over just that our club survives! The situation gets worse every day! I just hope there some form of good news on the horizon! WATP #4IAR lmao

Agree0 Disagree0

We are sounding like a bunch of idiots..
I am sad that Rangers is so tainted,,we have been sending that message to the east end but it is us who have shamed and blamed ,there is no excuse for what The Big Boys have done to us ..the ones who have paid for everything they have, big houses, big cars, big and fancy holidays. IF WE SURVIVE THIS YOU LOT WILL NOT FOOL US AGAIN, YOU LOT DONT GIVE A CARE FOR RANGERS FC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Above post it not the rangers fans fault contempt for the support

Agree0 Disagree0

NO I DON'T WANT DODGY DAVE MENDACIOUS KING near the club and he owes a sovereign government £224million. And that govt needs it those people are poor.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 20:13:54
Craig Whyte is planning keeping the tickets deal alive. He believes if the club goes into liquidation that Rangers will have to rent the stadium back from him if there is a newco formed. If thats the case he gets to keep the ticketus money and rangers will pay it back with the rent the club pays to whyte for the hiring of the stadium. Thats been the plan all along. He has personally guaranteed this to Ticketus.

Believable21 Unbelievable11

And how do know all this ???whats ur sorce ?

Agree0 Disagree0

But £18M went to Lloyds & the admin are trying to secure £3.6M that's left in Collyer's account that is now with their solicitors....what money would CW get to keep?

Maybe something that seems to have gone quiet - the £5M from the Jelavic transfer??

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is the case then id hope every Rangers fan abandons his plans and stops going to Ibrox. FC United of Mannchester should be the prototype. Id be bitterly disappointed if Rangers fans were to support Whytes newco Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everybody's assuming that the newco will get the stadium and training ground it'll go to the highest bidder a club in the third devision can't afford Ibrox end of ! No longer the people :)

Agree0 Disagree0

He can rot in hell if he thinks I would go anywhere near that newly formed business model. TOTAL AND UTTER EFFIN BLOODY SHYSTER.........

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely at this point there is not a single Rangers fan that cannot see this was the plan all along. The only question is who else was involved.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have no doubt that Craig is a Rangers fan and a Rangers man.
This is all going to plan and he was fooled on the phone the other day but mentioned he's going to end up being hailed as the guy who saved rangers and had the balls to front this. We're all on a Murray ride here.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 20:03:14
Why are 'we' the fans not outside
Ibrox in our great numbers demanding
answers to this complete shambles?

I know this probably wouldn't achieve much but at least it would show the world what we
want........Rangers (our club) and all of its history!

Believable21 Unbelievable13

Sorry you are history

Agree0 Disagree0

I think as we have not stood up and been counted the administrators and whyte continue to walk all over us. no other clubs supporters would sell out stadiums and not protest in these circumstances.

PICKLE

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would someone think this post is 'unbelievable'? Gretna (for the size of the club) organised a bigger demo before extinction than we have managed so far!
I've seen many a poster on here stating the same but for some reason we want to stand bye and watch our great club slowly die a death.

Shame on all of us!

Agree0 Disagree0

Headed to Ibrox straight from work. Not a soul in sight. We need to protest. Support when we play. I fear it's much like the crowd inside Ibrox, sit back and accept things. We are all hurting, I don't know what can be achieved but surely we could show togetherness and the love for our club any night without a match on. Tonight is quite possibly the lowest feeling of the past 22 days.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because you can't blame it on anybody but yourselves and the quicker Rangers fans realise they have been sold a dummy the last 15 years the better, this includes the new board , old board , Watty Smith (kidding on he knows nothing, a croc of) and McCoist to say they all knew nothing beggars belief,it has been common knowledge for years how much debt Rangers were in but all these main player didn't know, they spent millions on player but couldn't afford a computer to read about the state of the club because the scottish press wouldn't print it aye right and I must admit I feel sorry for the punters ,all these so called hero's sold you down the river and no point having a go at the truth because deep down I think you know now, all the best.

Agree0 Disagree0

The weather's crap tonight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct - where is our so called RST, RSA etc etc when all this is happening around us?!

Surely it's better to stand tall and have the eyes of the world upon us........or is it better for these people to be seen live on TV at 10.30 in the evening in front of a tiny audience (namely Scotland Today)?

I, like so many others want to do something - we just nead someone to lead us or we 'will' stand on our own individually just looking foolish.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its too late now, it would achieve nothing, who would you be protesting against ?

The bank, the administrators, Whyte, Murray.

too many people have come out with soundbytes for 2 years, we don't do walking away, that's useful...its pointless

Agree0 Disagree0

Because you would be protesting against your Queen, They are there on her orders, And your Order Ordered you not too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if thats the case poster you stand up and arrange something and il pat you on the back if you manage it

Agree0 Disagree0

Because your to interested in sitting in front of your computer and talking about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is one way Rangers fans can keep all their top players and avoid liquidation and losing al its history ?

Gift the Adminitrators 4.3 million pounds to cover the trading period until the end of the season. This will allow a CVA to be agreed and a sale to take place, it also allows RFC the opportunity to sell the top earners they could never afford.

What would RFC get for Mcgregor, Naithsmith, Davis and Whittaker ?

Is 20 million a good guess ?

Use the Save Rangers pledges to buy time, its the only way to avoid liquidation and save the club, the club is its history.

Agree0 Disagree0

Raising £4.3m to run the club until the end of the season and agreeing a CVA are two unrelated matters.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because yous all live in belief that yous are untouchable and think that by shouting we are the people will make everything all right. This information has been out in the public domain for months but those who posted it online suffered vile abuse from rangers* fans. Maybe you should have listened, or at least searched for the truth instead of burying your heads in the sand and / or abused those who spoke the truth.

Agree0 Disagree0

All you would be doing is paying the administrators for a bit longer. What about all the tax that has not been paid for this year, where is that coming from, what about the council bills. there is debt everywhere before the BTC

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy on Scotland tonight was magic. Apparently it's all down to not progressing in Europe. Nothing to do with financial mismanagement on an unbelievable scale, amounting, in all liklihood, to criminality, for years. The failure of Rangers fans, even this late in the day, to grasp what is happening and, more importantly why, is staggering

Agree0 Disagree0

Sadly even our fellow fans don't care enough to protest, although having said that you will notice that the official club associations have not stepped forward to organise a protest and apart from the usual talking head who pops up and says " terrible times, we need answers" have done nothing what so ever. i will not be paying my club memberships this next season i will become an independent supporter and nothing to do with official fans associations.

There will be a lot of cash invested into rangers in the next few months . my friends dad is an ex board member at ibrox , so dont worry to much we will be back . news will come out in the next week.

Believable21 Unbelievable26

Don't worry . That is a cracker

Agree0 Disagree0

Really hope so m8.

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the statement of adminostrators. If no cva then sell the business and the assets of " old company ". Liquidation is near. So tell your friends dads dogs goldfish to stop twisting your nipples

Agree0 Disagree0

I gtn a sneaky feeling that liquidation has bn the plan all along Its just a few things adding up to that like whyte hiding money from the club n the tax man knowing that there gtn nothing so not throwing it down a black hole , doing the repairs to the stadium without paying the staffs paye , anyone gt any opinion on this

Agree0 Disagree0

Its gone well past worry pal i just hope your right

Agree0 Disagree0

Get your head out the sand my fellow bear or timmy , there will be no buyer before the admin deadline , its just not possible , look at the facts , massive det, possible hmrc det , no income , massive outlays , the best thing for us would be too start from scratch take nthe penaltys for this and move rangers on , ok we maybe out the spl and playing football in the lower leagues but we will come back

Agree0 Disagree0

Liquidation then start again but in england...

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot to read the statement ..administrators Friday deadline ..So next week to late good try

Agree0 Disagree0

Your pal's stand to be indicted then for payments then is he ? And he is telling everyone else not too worry lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Its just been a badly run football club, there is no plan. One scam has led to another, and now the fan is covered in brown stuff.

Agree0 Disagree0

RFC need at least 100m , seriously some peepil need to realise how bad it is... AS

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah big tax and small tax will hurt us for years

Agree0 Disagree0

The end is near...... the only ones smiling is the administrators... they get paid no matter what happens..... do you know what salary Michael Atkins (director @ D & P) is on....
£275k per year + benefits... who's the winners here!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, wake up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Investment will not save Rangers, if you want to save Rangers, and its 140 history then gift the administrator 4.3 million pounds to get to the end of the saeson.

I would have thought Rangers 140 year history was worth 4.3 million pounds to most Rangers fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers aren't going to be liquidated on Friday. This is just the administrators trying speed up a sale by focusing the minds of potential buyers and the HMRC, not to mention the players. Classic bit of brinkmanship !

Keep believing. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

No liquidation, focus the mind of investors & HMRC,brinkmanship, etc. For months a few of us have been posting info about our financial problems, only to be derided by others like the poster above. We'vw said get your head out of the sand, shouting WATP has not and never will solve our problems.so now we have it confirmed,no buyer(and there won't be one)by friday and we're almost certainly gone.Where do we go from here,I don't know.Lots of legal battles to be fought, chances of a Rangers team playing anywhere next season no more than 50/50.Lawyers are going to make a fortune but that's no good to us.If Newco is to start,we've got around 15 weeks to register a club, find a place to play(we don't own Ibrox),apply for SFA/SPL license, get players, etc.Murray & King will NOT pass fit & proper test so who is going to fund all this.Reality is we may have to take stock, find out who will fund newco, put team, etc in place and plan for start in Div 3 in season 13/14.Hope all investigations, court cases etc are all complete by then because they can hold up any plans until settled.Things not looking good.

Why are Duff and Phelps not just getting on with the job they are there to do.
Administrators are accelerating the sale of financially-crippled Rangers with a view to avoiding implementing 'very severe' cost-cutting measures.
These very severe cost cutting measures should have been done by now, I wont like to see players and staff go but surely the club is the most important thing and must be preserved at all costs.
D and P are Whytes lapdogs and for some reason dragging their heels on anything and any decision.

At 9am this morning Administrators were optimistic then by 6pm there is possible no euro licence and a chance we cant fulfil fixtures this season.

Exact same as the crap Whyte was filling us with for months before them. NEVER AN ANSWER. ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS.

Monday 5th was deadline day for job losses but then was moved to tuesday then wednesday.

Will the 16 March deadline for prospective buyers keep rolling on to the next day also.

Last thing D and P are fattening their own wallets with all the delays.

NOT HAPPY BIG JOHNBOY

Believable16 Unbelievable4

Calm doon mate, the administrators arn't spending ranger's money.

we dont got none.

their primary concern is to keep rangers a viable concern, when its apparent to everyone we're not, in order to find a buyer, fill a creditors pot and split pro rata of debt

we cant come out of admin, theres a 49m liability awaiting us.

no-one in their right mind will touch us untill they're certain what our liabilities are.

"There has, perhaps inevitably, been speculation about Rangers Football Club facing liquidation. As we have stated previously, we remain very confident that Rangers will not cease to exist and the team will continue to play at Ibrox."

thats right Mr administrator rangers 2012

and will need to be soon, before that tribunal comes back

Agree0 Disagree0

Do u think that there trying to liquidate so that everything there can stay intact for a fresh start with a new company?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if whyte has anything to do with it liquidation will be inevitable, as he stands to profit when the assets get sold, Considering he didn't put a penny of his own money into the club it's a pretty decent deal for my whyte. Yes the common man would be jailed for this, But we seem to just let the rich carry on regardless.

Believable15 Unbelievable19

Heres hoping chick is right, we wont be down for long!!! watp

Agree0 Disagree0

Chick youngs a clown, serious players? A source? Name names you excuse for a reporter.
No one can buy a business with unseen potential debts of up to ( or maybe above ) 100 million pounds.
The administrators are hoping someone throws 5 million in the pot to see out the season and the realise the assets which is sale of players.
Then if the big case is in rangers favour then the whole thing after selling most of the players becomes possible but not probable.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is same guy who told us craig whyte was the saviour a year ago.... he knows diddlysquat

Agree0 Disagree0

Is wee chicco going to start selling what he is taking? only a fool would plough money in just now. i am a celtic fan and i understand that. no one knows what will be the outcome , but millionaires or even billionaires have that sort of money for a reason. in the current climate with any tax bill? if any? league sanctions? investigations? point deductions would not plough millions into the un known!! wait a few weeks and build a new strong rangers?? if serious players were around they would have stepped up long ago. portsmouth right now offer a better investment . plough a few less millions and build up to the premiership where the pot of gold is. lets not kid ourselves rangers and even my beloved hoops are champions league qualifiers at best, anything else is punching well above our weight delm3000

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember chick young saying the complete opposite, and he also didn t believe that the CW takeover would actually happen.

Waken up Chick. We are in the abyss already as a result of fly by night businessmen. And anyway, how can anyone really buy the club until all the facts are known. We hear more each day and there is no end to it

Agree0 Disagree0

No one in their right mind would give £70 away to the HMRC before investing the club. A newco is the only option lets get real

Agree0 Disagree0

Chic was probably meaning that there would be money put into RFC to keep them afloat .i.e. the £4.5 mill that is needed for the rest of the season.Don't be surprised if this is what Murray is intending rather than a buy out.

I work at court of sessionin Edinburgh and Duff and phelps lawyer has just presented papers to the judge to consider Rangers FC be put In to receivership (liquidation) before March 31 2012 due to unrecoverable insolvency. McGregor has had enough, his agent has lined him up with Spartak Moscow. His wages will treble to £75k a week. The Russians have gave him 24 hours to make up his mind.

Davies is heading to Sunderland with Martin O neil happy to double his wages as he is signing on a free.

Whittaker is moving to Aston Villa again he will be on a 50% wage increase from his current contract with a 1 million signing on fee.

source: An agent

Believable20 Unbelievable17

Never heard so much nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Makes sense, why should they take a pay cut to keep a club going when the club will sell them in 3 months anyway, its obvious any new Rangers in any form can not afford to pay players 20-25k per week.
All of this assuming Rangers did not go into liquidatio before any sale, some would lose 225k ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha ha, so let me get this straight, Aston Villa are offering Whittaker nearly £50,000 per week, plus a million signing on fee, can I just say Whittaker is worth about £6-8,000 per week max and thats being generous, and the fact you called him Davies tends to suggest you are a timothy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont talk s**te why would villa sign whittaker? they have hutton and cuellar who play right back for them. sunderland have cattermole gardner sessegnon larsson vaughon in midfield and not a chance spartak will go for mcgregor especially not on that wage. your bored sitting on your laptop and no pretending to know a football agent. grow up ffs

My understanding is they're administrators and paid to make decisions to cut back money. In three weeks they have got rid of Smith and Russell got some money back but f**k all else. Does this really merit the massive payment they will command. Not one for conspiracies but they were appointed by that little c**t Whyte.......Here's hoping someone saves our club.PB

Believable14 Unbelievable11

I simply do not understand the logic behind the criticism of the Administrators.

Let us assume they started this process 3 weeks ago, what difference would it make ?

Players would have refused the cuts and no one would have bought Rangers 3 weeks ago.

You won't even have a team capable of challenging for the title in Division 3, None of the players will stay! Keep dreaming, out of the SPL is where you will stay for a long

Agree0 Disagree0

I have thought for months that liquidation was unavoidable.

But I thought it would be after the big EBT tax case that would bring RFC down.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's absolutely staggering that rangers haven't even been hit by the big tax case yet and looks like they are heading for liquidation !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately I think Whyte planned this from day one and that is why he paid nothing. I doubt he acted alone.

07 Mar 2012 16:48:56

Believable4 Unbelievable13

How can the club be sold with no decision reached on the tax case? It is not going to happen. What fool voluntarily pays £1 to get £49 million+ of debt?

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no possible way the club can be sold by Friday, the due diligance process alone would take months, if there is someone out there who is willing to buy the club longterm then what is needed from them is a short term investment to see out the rest of the season ................ Big Dave

Believable10 Unbelievable4

07 Mar 2012 16:21:33
Duff & Phelps, the Administrators of Rangers Football Club, today issued the following statement.

David Whitehouse, Joint Administrator, said: "We are announcing today we are accelerating the sale of Rangers Football Club.

"The Club is in a perilous financial situation and that should not be under-estimated. Regrettably, we have been unable to agree cost-cutting measures with the playing staff on terms that will preserve value in the business. We understand the players' position as the scale of wage cuts required to achieve these savings without job losses were very substantial indeed.

"In view of this, we are faced with a situation of making redundancies within the playing staff on such a scale that would materially erode the value of the playing squad. We are striving to strike a balance where cost-cutting measures can be implemented but do not destroy the fabric of the playing squad to the extent that it will inhibit the prospect of a sale.

"However, no one should be in any doubt that in the absence of sufficient cost-cutting measures or receipt of substantial unplanned income, the Club will not be able to fulfil its fixtures throughout the remainder of the season.

"As a result, we are expediting the sale process and over the next few days we will be holding discussions with prospective purchasers who have declared their interest. The Manager, Ally McCoist will play an integral part in thesediscussions.

"If however it becomes apparent that the sale process cannot be accelerated there will be no choice but to implement very severe cost cutting measures at the Club."

Believable11 Unbelievable5

So does this mean buyer or bust?

Agree0 Disagree0

No one will buy the club in it's present condition.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is going to buy the club before the big EBT tax case is concluded?

Agree0 Disagree0

" Unplanned income " is the key phrase, if fans can raise 4.3 million to pay the players wages until the end of the season then liquidation will be avoided.

Its time for the fans to get involved, no sale will take place with so many imponderables, the club must survive until the end of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only positive in this statement is that the administrator is not talking about liquidation!

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt we will see old firm game again this season

Ian(54 and subtracting)

Agree0 Disagree0

Bears, its looking very bleak. No one will buy the club, without knowing the possible tax liability, that would be insane, especially with the money involved. This has all been planned by CW from start as he is left holding the keys when we hit liquidation which seems inevitable now. This is a total car crash and Bears clubbing together etc, is not going to be enough, those players going are doing what we would all do to look after No1. DM is too blame for this fiasco and we should look to next season as Rangers under a new name.

What the hell is happening administrators??? apparently being charged £650 an hour!!! That sums it all up 1st being recommended by whyte and now dragging ur heels to make as much money out of this as possible! Shame on you!

Believable14 Unbelievable7

How many times do you need to be told they are not paid hourly, also closely monitored by the law courts

Agree0 Disagree0

Shame on them ! SHAME ON RANGERS

Agree0 Disagree0

I hve been posting on here for the past few days that the administistrators are not doing their job properly, unfortuneatly all my posts have not been put up - not sure why ?

Anyway I would be seriously concerned now regarding the way Duff & Phelps are dealing with this, to make a statement like they did today is ridiculous - what exactly have they been doing for the past 3 weeks, 2 players walked, 2 upstairs walked and they say they can not come to agreement, the clock is ticking and so is the meter, every day is more money and the administrators should hang their heads in shame.

Diamond Geezer

Agree0 Disagree0

Diamond Geezer,

Which part of can of worms do you not understand, it has taken them 3 weeks to unravel the labyrinth of finacial trickery and establish costs ?

There is no point in cutting costs if you don't know what costs need cutting !
Nobody is buying RFC before a CVA is in place.
If you make assets of 20 mllion redundant to cut costs then you are guaranteeing liquidation. You are reduciing the book value of the club and reducung the attendance receipts.
Ibrox will not be full watching reserves for the next 3 months..

Sad but I am afraid it is over.

Agree0 Disagree0

How many times the only people at fault r rangers u muppets u blame every one appart from rangers wake up

What happend to the save the rangers campaign?

Believable6 Unbelievable11

It failed, Rangers have not been saved.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Save Rangers Campaign is still up and running.

Agree0 Disagree0

They say they have raised more than £5 million where is the money?

Agree0 Disagree0

It was only a trial run to see how much money could be raised. 14,000 pledges with 10m on the table.

Agree0 Disagree0

The money is only what would be pledged by supporters if and when a takeover is made and there is a share issue from the takeover.

If you go on the website it tells you this.

Agree0 Disagree0

If its true £5 Million has been raised ...For god's sake hang on to it ...and wait till the "New" Rangers is up and running... Do not put any money raised into a Bankrupt Rangers...it will only find its way back into Craig Whyte's hands.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Where is the money" its still in the pockets and banks of the rangers supporters as it was a pledge of money, no monies has been handed over to saverangers.com. Right now why would you hand over any money to the administrators for them to take their wage out of our money and then pay our top earning players their hugh salaries while not take agreeing a pay cut for the sake of saving Glasgow Rangers and then still leave the club at the end of the season. No anything that has to be done to save Rangers has to be thought out correctly and guaranttees put in place so that there is a strong foundation for the club to start afresh. Forget England that will never ever happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is still going on but remember it is just pretend cash . I would not depend on what has been promised becoming a reallity.

Agree0 Disagree0

The stumbling blocks are the big tax case and wee tax case and debts own to clubs creditors etc shambolic

Agree0 Disagree0

A new buyer would have to take on all debts this is even before the 2 tax cases not looking good shocking

Agree0 Disagree0

If there is 5 million then use it to buy up all the unsold tickets for Ibrox between now and the end of the season, then you can avoid liquidation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have all the Staff taken a pay cut from the Manager down?

Quote from Craig Whyte's spokesman: "There is absolutely no necessity for Rangers to go into liquidation, I believe we will come out of administration by way of a CVA that is in the interest of all the stockholders"

Seems obvious that Craig Whyte is relying on Rangers not being liquidated. Offers in by 16th March to bail out the club with an offer to creditors of so many pence in the pound.

Craig then sits pretty with a debt free club and all the shareholding which he then sells at a massive profit.

So Paul murrays going to make a "conditional offer" before march 16 , wonder what the conditions are? Or is this a move to flush out other potential buyers? Honestly ma heads done in with this, I don't no what's real an what's not anymore, but I agree with the guy les who posts, where has our figure head been through this, all this sh!t coming at us and supers been left alone to fight for us, I'll never forgive those responsible or those who have enjoyed booting us while we've been down!

Agree0 Disagree0

The conditional offer will be on the outcome of the tax case. How can anybody make an offer with the potential of the tax case going against us, and with an unknown tax liability. Only somebody that would want liquidation would buy in these circumstances, sound like anyone we know?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont pass blame to other fans and football people having a dig, rangers put themselves in this position and all the rest is normal football wind ups

Agree0 Disagree0

Your lot have kicked every one they could for years. Just reading King's statement, his defence of Martin Bain seems to be robust so is it not true then he was getting pay rises as others lost jobs and that the bonus's he was picking up, again was untrue pr lies, I wonder, I for one hope the club what ever position it ends in is from now on run by people with Rangers their first love, proud to serve as many others would with out viewing it as a way to fund their luxurious life styles

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Think you'll find that David Murray did not use Rangers to fund his lifestyle.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2012 15:13:35
as i predicted here 2 weeks ago (and was shot down in flames) paul murray and the blue knights would show there hand soon, he has at least 10 well known men who all have rangers at heart to stump up what he calls eyewatering amounts of money, two share issues will also be raised so ordinary supporters will have a chance to invest. my only worry would be that the spl or sfa will hit us with big sanctions should we lose the tax case, so it would prob be better starting from scratch with a newco rather than pay massive ammounts now in order to get a cva and come out of admi. col...

Believable9 Unbelievable14

All very easy coming on here after the event and after Paul Murray's initial interest to claim you are in the know.

If you know as much as you'd like us to think, then answer this question:

Who are these "at least 10 well known men"?

Agree0 Disagree0

Your prediction remains a prediction, RFC has eye watering debts and eye watering liabilities. YOU DO NOT NEED EYE WATERING AMOUNTS OF MONEY TO BUY RFC AFTER A CVA OR AFTER LIQUIDATION.
Some fans will never learn, RFC is a business and it will be run as a business, regardless of who buys it or what form it takes.

Sugar daddies do not exist.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think youll find i said it before the event mate. so far im told , murray, king, mcoll, douglas park, possibly johnston source wont confirm the rest. but you will know as soon as i do.

Agree0 Disagree0

They are all in this together. As i said in my last post, this gathering of money men have been in place for quite some time but will not step in before the club goes into liquidation. They will then get access to hidden assets that Murray has stashed away under an impossible paper trail (over i would say at least 4 years). Rangers will then reform with no debt and the only damage will be to the ego!! The whole thing is a sham and in my opinion immoral but isn't all business?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ordinary fans were offered the chance to purchase a large share of the club when David murray had a share issue, who stepped up? oh that's right David murray had to purchase 86% of ye shares again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard Tom Hunter is another one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Properly mental. Do you not think if moonbeams had cash or assets stashed away he would be using it to pay some of his 1.1 billion pound debt?

If Murray has spent so much time and effort burying the evidence of these assets so that they cant be found by top legal minds how come a person like you knows all about them?

Making up shyte wont save Rangers.

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you think businesses go bankrupt and then the previous owners pop up involved with another similar venture under a new name?? It's been going on for years. I live in Jersey (Mr Murrays previous residency) and the real money people know very well how to play this game. Kevin Leach a local Billionaire did the same thing a few years ago and he's got far more collateral than Murray. The house went in the wifes name long beforehand the business aquaintances supposedly bought up various businesses and then suprise suprise Mr Leech declared bankrupt just as a court case came up with a claim of 130 million from one of his pharmaceutical companies. It is well known he still owns half of Jersey. It's all a game and when RFC became an ego trip gone wrong for Mr Murray there was no way he was going to lose cash so up pops mr whyte a guy wi no money to buy a club wi no money......aye right, heid oot the sand time or on second thoughts leave it in there!!

Just a wee thought ..Why has David Murray not been as quick to reply to Hugh adam's comments..Probably because they were true

Believable19 Unbelievable5

Last time Murray broke cover, he dropped a clanger, and put his foot right in it. When Whyte called in admin he went public and said he was surprised at the timing of admin! Oops! He expected it! It was planned? Oops! Just a little early?

He's keeping his mouth shut now!

Agree0 Disagree0

David Murray doesnt give a Monkey's - he was last seen in the far east -( no not Edinburgh ) with his Sons on a Wine Tasting Jolly. Move on...Time to Liquidize & start afresh..

Agree0 Disagree0

ARE WE ALL missing the trick/ scam already????

Murray racked up £55m of HMRC debt and gave WHYTE the club for £1. Surely the £55m HMRC debt is David Murray's????

It's the same argument being put forward for Whyte and ticketus.....the debt isn't the club's.....it follows the man!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope king sues Murray and wins, and hope that Murray is rooked as a result. At last some comeupance

Agree0 Disagree0

Follows the man? Wise up. Have you never heard of "Limited Liability"?

Its what made Britain Great and allowed West to dominate the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

If all gers fans are honest, fanwise nobody really cares if we go out of existence, and if it was another club, not ours, we wouldn't care either. Money counts in football, so no matter what the clubs may be saying openly, they know that any major sponsorship, tv deals, gate money etc will be greater if Rangers are involved. Its a fact of life, scottish football is skint, most clubs are struggling, crowds are down so Rangers, whether its as they are now...or as a newco will be there, we will suffer finacially, and any points deduction we will accept, all the other stuff will sort itself out, and we'll take our medicine.

An Old Grizzly Bear

Believable12 Unbelievable11

I'd rather keep my clubs history intact and win league titles fair and square. That would probably apply to most genuine fans and not glory hunters. Now that the team is in a mess, you don't care who gets screwed as a consequence.
You sir are not a real fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

A Newco Rangers won't actually be Rangers and I will have my reservations about whether to support a team, that isn't Rangers, playing at Rangers FC's stadium.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clubs change grounds and owners and fans feel no different, does a change in company with the same name really matter ?

I just don't see how it wipes out any history ?
It seems all a bit technical to attach it to a football team.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sure as long as the new Govan Rangers Football Club or whatever name it will be - colours are Red White & Blue & the same songs are sung ... I am sure the old fans will turn up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just an update...firstly Im not a "glory hunter"...Ive been following the boys since the 70's, had my season ticket before pre-souness years, the point I was trying to make was that no matter what happens rangers will survive...and as the Administrators latest statement has just said..as things go we may not even see out the season..the history will always be there and I sincerely hope whoever the new owner/s can sort out the financial mess that DM & CW amongst others created.

rangers players ar wanting a clause in there contract so that they can leave for free in the summer i for one am shocked by this if this is the case get rid of them now and save wages

Believable7 Unbelievable4

All the badge kissing etc makes me sick.
I know that it is a difficult time for them but they are on a fortune compared to what the average punter who supports them week in week out gets. They should be doing their bit to save the club, that so many of them have dreamt of playing for since they were wee boys...
They are being shoen up for what they really are greedy b@$tards who don't live in the real world.
And don't go there with it's a short career etc. there are millions out of work who have maybe not even had the chance of a short career. This is a reality check / wake up call that has been needed in football for years!

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think they want to walk away in summer for free what i have seen they want a percentage of any future transfer fee ie get the wages they r owed if and when they r transfered which i think is fair come on noone takes a 75% wage cut would you ?

Agree0 Disagree0

I take no players leaving rangers for good today? i heard from dj that davis whitty and mgreggor leaving today can any one confirm?

Agree0 Disagree0

Itsactly these players that are wanting this clause should be booted out now by the admin team

Agree0 Disagree0

Why dont the just agree that if they are sold in the summer they get their wages back plus a percentage of their sell on value. That way they get their lost earnings back plus a thank you for taking the hit and Rangers get something for them everyone is a winner.

Yes, simpleton you are missing something. Rangers would not have been able to field the eleven players you played in these games if you had been paying PAYE and NI on their income. Rangers gave themselves an unfair advantage in signing these players which is corrupt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should Allan Mcregor risk losing 225k in 3 months to save Rangers, knowing full well if they survive he will be sold for 6-8 million.

Mcregor could walk and negotiate his own wages as a free agent with any Premiership or Championship club.

Would any new owner show him loyalty or would they sell him as a business asset ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you have that one wrong PAYE and NI are deducted from an employee - techinically speaking it's not an employers to afford or not, the employer makes the contribution on the employee's behalf!

Agree0 Disagree0

This is getting beyond a joke. How is this any different from deferring wages.

Sounds very dodgy to me and yet more rule breaking.

Have just read in the herald that Dundee utd are taking legal action as the want their70,000

Believable18 Unbelievable8

Any creditor is entitled to take legal action even if the company is in administration, back in the 70's the mighty Rolls Royce was liquidated by a creditor for a lot less than 70k, creditors are not obliged to wait or even accept a CVA.

Agree0 Disagree0

Typical!! Take it theyll also be sueing for lost gate income next Saturday when the majority of bears boycott going to Tanadice Park?

Agree0 Disagree0

They are perfectly right to do this if the boot was on the other foot Rangers lawyers would be all over them like a rash

Agree0 Disagree0

Airdrie- out the game for £30,000. "Business is business"

Agree0 Disagree0

Just wait till wee Vlad comes in for his £800000 for Lee Wallace!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done to United. Been cheated long enough by the Rangers board, just making sure they get the money owed to them.

Agree0 Disagree0

They will have seen Dunfermline being paid so they'll want their money in case there's a CVA proposed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dundee Utd, Dunfermline & Hearts should be paid before our players, I for one ain't comfortable owing other SPL clubs money especially gate money that should be first thing paid between clubs not paying it is stealing!

Agree0 Disagree0

A CVA is inevitable and Dundee Utd would be lucky if they were offered 20 pence in the pound, they are not a prefered creditor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps the only good thing about liquidation would be watching Dundee utd receive pennies in the pound.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats right blame utd for rfc not paying what they owe

All clubs must be paid first is giving us a bad name

I read that Rangers could be hit with a 30 point penalty for the start of next season but if we're liquidated, surely the SFA can't impose that on a new club ? That's why we won't be allowed straight back into the SPL, we won't even be guaranteed a place in the 3rd division. We MUST look at other avenues to get into the English league, if possible & let the SPL die a slow death, afterall, EVERYONE wants us to suffer anyway, let's see how they survive without the biggest support in Scottish football.

Believable21 Unbelievable17

Have celtic not got the biggest support in Scotland, 4th biggest in the world I am sure

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a new argument going around that 3 years being run by Lloyd's bank accountants was the same as admin accountants and an insolvency event. Alastair Johnston said the Lloyd's guy on the board made all the decisions. Rangers were actually insolvent during that period and run by their major creditor. If the spl decides yes on this it's minus 10 points for the last 2 seasons.

Agree0 Disagree0

Biggest support?? how do you work that one out?

Agree0 Disagree0

They can impose a penalty on a Newco if it is closely related to the previous club doubtful it be 30pts Leeds Utd are a example of this Highwayman

Agree0 Disagree0

What on earth are you talking about. English league? What english team is going to voluntarily surrender their place in the league so Rangers can play in it?

Agree0 Disagree0

The only reason your filling your ground is administration!Celtic have more season ticket holders than ibrokes can hold.So were does the best supported team in scotland come from?

Agree0 Disagree0

Terrible attitude, wanting the SPL to die a slow death, you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself. So basically you don't want any kids to have as good an opportunity as possible to play professional football.

It's people like you that give Rangers a bad name.

Any football team based in Scotland cannot play outside of Scotland so your chances of playing in England are non existant.

And before anyone comes up with the Cardiff, Swansea and Berwick Rangers argument, the rules change has been after these teams participation in a league outside of where they are based.

Any newco Rangers will be playing in the SPL. The 5 man SPL board have the power to vote a newco straight into the SPL.

No investor will buy Rangers if they elect to start of in Div 3.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic have the biggest support and there is no chance of going to england

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you seriuos. Do you genuinly think that neither the SPL or the Scottish football league would want Rangers in the system. God almighty where does this rubbish come from.

Agree0 Disagree0

After watching the B8C 1 programme on Scottish Football last night ...I agree ...The new Rangers - should join the English FA ..EPL or whatever ..& leave all the back stabbing - money grabbing Scottish leagues minnows to fend for themselves ...see how they get on... the way teams like Dundee Utd Dumbfermline & Celtic are behaving towards Rangers is Shocking...

Agree0 Disagree0

The SPL don't want rangers, the English league won't touch rangers with a s**tty stick. No one wants rangers, isn't that telling you anything?

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems like a lot of Celtic Fans post on here ...Q, regarding the biggest Support ... Can you all remember Manchester a wee event namely the Europa Cup Final - How many Rangers fans Filled the City ? I think the Police lost count at 350K ..

Agree0 Disagree0

The way they are behaving towards rangers?? You cheated, stole and embarrassed Scottish football... Take off the blue goggles and look at what RFC is right now. Clubs are due money to keep them alive all because the RFC board bought trophies for years. The world isn't against rangers, the legal system is... Break the law, pay the price, or do you disagree?

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to be based in England to play in their leagues. Last time I looked Glasgow was north of hadrians wall not south of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree the way rangers have been run is a disgrace, but it seems there are too many teams jumping on the band wagon to have us extinct. The question about rangers or celtic having the biggest fan base, well i know neither my friends or i go onto the septic page as we do not like you or your team, on the flip side there seem to be alot of celtic men on this page, so why dont you all go back to winning titles through default and stick to your own page, or is it that you are all so worried that if we go out of business that you lot WILL follow, as the likely hood is that the SPL will perish. SKY and every other channel would not pay a penny to watch a very ordinary team (Celtic) against a pretty poor team every single week. If we go, you go, so reflect on these thoughts broaden your mind and think out side of that little green puff of smoke you all live in. On another note i am sure IBROX is spelled IBROX not IBROKES and even if it was IBROKES well its still better than THE PIGGERY And IBROKES aint even a funny joke, a smug grin at most, must do better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Biggest support in scottish football? Maybe the most biggoted and vile bunch of people but not support.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Manchester was full of English guys dressed up as Rangers Fans causing trouble, having a european final in Manchester is like travelling to Aberdeen (what a boast).

Agree0 Disagree0

350k lol pmsl where are the fans now when the club is sinking faster than the titanic.maybe if the 350k loved rangers so much they could all donate a £10.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wonder what the Celtic fans will do when there is no Rangers fans ? aaaahhhhh!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you think everyone hates you? Laughing and waving banknotes at Hibee games, taking the p**s out of Celtic who were close to liquidation, 10 pounds for every fiver...of course no one hates you

Agree0 Disagree0

Winning tittles by default. That comment just made my day! Unlike the person who said that comment, I have friends on both sides of the old firm (I'm not a bigot and I dont hate rangers fans) who agree Celtic will win this tittle due to there own endeavours. If I were sink to your level, I would raise the question of illegal tittles rangers have won... But I'll live in the present just now and enjoy a future without RFC , I'll still have the same
Friends after RFC die ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Please get your fact right, Rangers are members of the SPL aad not the SFL, but subject to SFA regulation therefore whither a newco or present club, we cannot be anything other than an SPL club, and under the current regs of SPL rangers in what ever form must be parachuted back into the SPL!! NO EPL, Spannish, Itialian,French or any other association only the SPL so stop all this rubbish about going else where, its Scotland and only Scotland

Agree0 Disagree0

Well my green little friend it was i who made the post about default titles and i am pretty sure i did not state if any of my friends were celtic supporters, which some of them are in fact the best man at my wedding is a celtic fan and he is also my best mate, i was only including my rangers supporting friends obvously my celtic supporting friends are going to go on the celtic site but i though i did not have to mention that, now i do so thanks for that, however you have me grinning it right up due to the fact you took the bait and have shown that i annoyed you so in actual fact you have just made my day. You seriously cannot read either that or your just making things up i did not say i hated celtic fans, i just dont like yous ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

"The question about rangers or celtic having the biggest fan base, well i know neither my friends or i go onto the septic page as we do not like you or your team"

You said it mate. Now you have best mates as Celtic fans, you should let them know how you feel.

As for making your day, I really hope so as I'm currently in Barcelona loving watching what can only be explained as a comic book of deluded rangers fans such as yourself.... I'll tell messi your asking for him btw.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh so you can read, AND you can cut and paste i am impressed, well done that man. I still dont see where it says i HATE celtic fans prove me wrong! I said i dont like yous, read it again because it still has not sunk in with you, i dont like yous, i didnt say i hate yous. Deluded in what way exactly? Aye because am sure messi has any breath to waste on you and if your in Barcelona why you bothering to argue with me on a RANGERS site you sad lonely little green man go out and enjoy yourself, and am not asking for messi so dont say i was asking for him as you would be lying lol And i am still grinning. Clutching at straws "i don't hate you , I just don't like you" I bet your "best man" would love to hear you don't like him. You cannot win this one I'm afraid, I must say however, you have officially made my day as I have killed some time online while me and my mate (a rangers fan btw) get prepared to see the mighty barca! He is cringing at every reply from you btw.

I love being a "sad lonely little man" ;). Enjoy emerdale or whatever you have planned for tonight.

Have just read Dave Kings comments regarding going forward. I may be reading a little too much into it but he says he has asked the football authorities about his own position as being a fit and proper person to run a football club, am i daft in thinking its a strange question to ask unless an affirnative response would count in any decision you were contemplating

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Dont think he will want to run rangers on his own,

but from his coent on that i would say he plans to be part of the 'blue knights' if he can be.

he did say he would be 100% commited to the club anyway he can

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is not seen as a fit and proper person he cannot be a Director.

Agree0 Disagree0

This statement should put an end to all the speculation but isn't it a case of "pots and Kettles"??

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave King was served with a court order in South Africa which prevents him from having any business dealings in South Africa and also the UK. The court order also applies to anyone carrying out business deal on his behalf.

However, King is absolutely correct that Rangers will be liquidated.

Agree0 Disagree0

2.7 billion rand at XE dot com is £224million. That's more than double Rangers FC debt. Thee guys are complete Jokers.

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason he is doing this may have something to do with a South African judges description of him

"He is a mendacious witness whose evidence should not be accepted on any issue unless it is supported by objective evidence. In our assessment, he is a glib and shameless liar.â€

Agree0 Disagree0

He's been described worse in court than Whyte.
A national government is chasing him for £224m.
He is clearly not fit to be a uk football director until SA are satisfied with him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave King sounds absolutely perfect to be an owner of Rangers - if the last couple of owners are anything to go by!

Dave King statement

Having had the opportunity to visit key stakeholders and to properly consider the information now available to me I would like to comment on certain matters that I have hitherto refused to comment on.

My own visibility of the true state of affairs was being actively restricted and, as it turns out, falsified by Craig Whyte and I did not wish to add to the strongly held but unconfirmed rumours that were already being played out in the media.

Craig Whyte

I met with Craig Whyte during my recent visit and he provided clarity on the funding position. His true financial commitment was not by way of cash (as he had previously advised me) but rather guarantees that he and/or companies associated with him had given to Ticketus.

He confirmed to me that Ticketus has no recourse to the football club. Hopefully the administrators will be able to confirm this. The upshot of Craig Whyte's confession is that the fans were duped.

Immediately upon the acquisition of the club by Craig Whyte (far from being debt free as was trumpeted by the Murray Group and Craig Whyte at the time) the club was in a much worse economic position than before and had no chance of survival even if we had progressed in Europe.

The Murray Group

I purposely did not meet with David Murray but did meet with Mike McGill who was a member of the Rangers board at the time of the acquisition and was intimately involved on behalf of the Murray Group in securing the sale to Craig Whyte.

I am absolutely satisfied in my mind that Mike McGill (and hence the Murray Group) had no knowledge that the proof of funds supplied by Craig Whyte's attorneys was secured by season ticket sales. I am further satisfied that the Murray Group would not have proceeded with the transaction if the true source of the funds had been disclosed.

The Murray Group had every right to rely on the proof of funds letter that was supplied by Collyer Bristow.

Collyer Bristow

The role of Collyer Bristow requires further investigation as this legal firm appears to have behaved in a manner inconsistent with its natural duties and responsibilities.

I met with Gary Withey, on two occasions, during my recent visit and I do not believe that it is plausible that he was actively involved in an attempt to deceive the shareholders, fans, and creditors of the club.

I do however continue to have concerns about the discharge of his duties as company secretary for Rangers. There is a true version that has yet to emerge regarding Collyer Bristow's role and knowledge of events.

Administration

I do not believe that there is a reasonable prospect that the company can come out of administration. I believe that liquidation is inevitable.

European football

The club will not meet its financial requirements before the UEFA deadline. There will consequently be no European football next year and liquidation might extend that by another two years.

The harsh reality is that Craig Whyte has abused the loyalty of the fans by trading that future loyalty for cash in a manner that has excluded the club's ability to provide the very product that the fans were expected to pay for.

To have done this, and then blatantly lied about it, is an abuse that no fan of any club should have to suffer.

HMRC

Now that I have evidenced the true position I wish to commend HMRC for showing the maximum restraint that it possibly could have under its mandate to collect taxes that are due.

The empathy that HMRC has demonstrated to the club and its fans is particularly gratifying given the abuse perpetrated on HMRC by Craig Whyte in withholding ongoing tax payments to fund the club- while simultaneously pretending that he was using his own funds.

Going forward

It grieves me to state that it seems inevitable that the footballing institution will survive but the company won't. This will entail many hurdles (that will be overcome) including 'Rangers (2012) Ltd' having to reapply for membership of the SFA etc.

It is a sad point to have reached, but if managed sensibly, it can result in Rangers returning to its former glory as a football club in the shortest time possible. We must all strive to ensure that an appropriate ownership structure guarantees that this event is never repeated.

We must remember that our footballing friends across the city came very close to the point that we now find ourselves in. Scottish football needs a strong Rangers and Celtic - but perhaps in a slightly humbler form.

My own present position

I seem to be one of the few people who actually invested cash into the club. I have made a claim of £20 million on the basis of non-disclosure by the then Chairman, David Murray, of Rangers true financial position as far back as 2000.

Other shareholders may feel deceived like I do and wish to take similar action. (David Murray will no doubt argue to the contrary and the merits of this will be dealt with in due course in the appropriate forum.)

For present purposes however, I simply want to advise the fans and fellow shareholders that any benefit I receive from my claim will be fully reinvested into the restructured football club. I remain 100% committed to the Rangers football club and will do whatever I can to advance its interests.

My own future position

I intend to remain involved with the club, at least on my present basis, post-reconstruction if that is at all possible under the new ownership structure. I am however alert to the raw sentiment around the need for Rangers to have 'fit and proper' persons at its helm.

In view of my own well-publicised and acrimonious legal disputes with the authorities in South Africa I have taken it upon myself to approach the SFA in that regard in advance of considering an increased role in the club going forward. I will be guided by the SFA's response in that regard.

Paul Murray

In the interim I will be putting my full support behind Paul Murray's initiative to secure the future of the club. Paul is a very smart businessman of undoubted integrity and a man who holds all that is sacred and traditional at Rangers football club very close to his heart. He is exactly the type of man the club needs at this time.

The previous board

I worked happily with the previous board and was immensely saddened by the way that some of them were excoriated by the media for no reason other than that they strongly opposed the sale of the club to a man who appeared to have insufficient funds to take the club forward.

Martin Bain, Paul Murray and Alastair Johnston were fired immediately upon the takeover for voicing their concerns. The Rangers spin doctoring machine then started to work overtime to discredit them, both individually and collectively.

We now know the truth and hopefully those three loyal Rangers fans can now be fully welcomed back to Ibrox Park with full appreciation for the role that they have played in working tirelessly behind the scenes to expose Craig Whyte for what they truly knew him to be- and what all fans now know him to be.

This cancer might have continued longer without their continued probings.

Martin Bain

Martin deserves particular mention. I have chatted to him a few times since he was forced to resign. Despite the lies and untruths that were being leaked about him to the press he never wavered in his loyalty and commitment to the club.

He never wavered in his commitment to the fans and he was determined to expose what was really going on.

The club was fortunate to have Martin at the helm as CEO for many years and was even more fortunate to find him continue to act in the interests of the club after he was unjustifiably removed from that position and unjustifiably deprived of his fair contractual settlement.

John Greig and John McClelland

Both of these gentlemen were, like me, not fired from the board after the acquisition and soldiered on in the best interests of the club until they reached a point where they reluctantly resigned rather than be associated with the failing governance at the club. That was the early warning sign.

I haven't spoken to John McClelland but I can confirm (from my recent discussions with him) how pained John Greig is to have been unable to attend his beloved Ibrox. Hopefully he will shortly be able to resume his rightful iconic place in the director's box.

Previous titles

I have noted the recent media comment about Rangers being stripped of previously earned titles. While this makes good headlines, I am absolutely confident (now that I have a good sense of the true position) that this will not happen.

Believable15 Unbelievable15

This reads like our long awaited statement from David Murray at 9 Charlotte square. Bet it was prepared on a computer there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Sir !

Agree0 Disagree0

Finally, some clarity and in laymans terms , so even non-finance experts can grasp. Surely some/lots of people due in time, up before the law.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is ridiculous, form over substance, or whatever, Rangers sold 4 years of tickets to pay off Rangers debt to Lloyd's. It was Rangers business whether DM did it or CW did it. CW could only sell 4 years of rangers tickets if he was the owner, which he was and he did. If ownership changes the ticket contract with rangers FC remains.

Agree0 Disagree0

No mention of second contracts and only talks about reapplying for membership to the SFA not the SPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

It basically makes everyone at the previous board look like wonderful gentlemen including hoodwinked Murray.
It paints Whyte As the lone bad guy and pins £24.4m ticketus debt on him alone.
Then the unbelievable £20m move against Murray, after having said nice things about him. I won't judge him until the high court case starts and he's paying expensive QCs, otherwise, he is indeed mendacious!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bravo! At last someone talking with clarity, and some humility. I believe he has Rangers` best interests at heart. Thank you.
Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

My god his Tongue must Brown, it was All Craig Whytes fault, The rest are Blameless, and now he has clarity, Mr Whyte will be gone taking a nice big wage for being the scape goat and the rest will all waltz back in to their comfortable jobs as saviours, Aye right never again with the exception of Mr Greig should any of that lot ever have a say in the running of our club, Go take a flying F**k Mr King W.A.T.P. Your just another businessman wanting to line your own pockets.

Agree0 Disagree0

As a non-Rangers supporter I sincerely hope liquidation does NOT happen. Because it would be like wiping the slate clean and starting over. Rangers deserve many years of hurt for all the damage they have done to Scottish football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fans, don't put your heads back in the sand, remember, you all believed Craig White was your saviour.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hypocrisy and utter nonsense. This guy is less reliable than Craig Whyte!!

Agree0 Disagree0

No one is less reliable than Craig Whyte!

Agree0 Disagree0

Check what the SA courts said about him and you may reconsider!

Agree0 Disagree0

Question to the non-Rangers' supporter - what damage do you think Rangers have done to Scottish football ? The damage has been inflicted upon themselves. Other than Craig Whyte not paying his dues to the tax man, nothing has been proven yet ! Celtic did more damage to Scottish football last season challenging the integrity of refs and the SFA !!

Rangers & Celtic are the live blood of Scottish football and their supporters keep the game alive. The Scottish game will go into melt down if we don't survive. But why should we be punished excessively for this ? It will make the game up here even more farcical if the SPL handicap us with points deductions. I'd rather we went down to the 3rd Division than help out other vindictive clubs & their supporters in the SPL. We'll see how well the rest of you survive without us for a few seasons.

So stop kicking us, if you want the financial benefits of Rangers in the SPL. Its not all one sided !

Agree0 Disagree0

On the subject of stripped titles I reckon we should contest this. If the SPL were to apply this, then the cost of these (nothing) games going back over the years should be refunded to fans both by the home and away teams. Wonder how many teams have the cash to cover this!

Denzil 1873

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no point in stripping a non-existant company of any titles, Rangers are going to be liquidated within 2 weeks of paying off 20 million pounds of assets.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody wil be making any offers by March 16th, nothing will be resolved by then. All potential buyers have to do is register an interest to purchase and demonstrate they have the cash to buy the assets of RFC and fund its operation.
The reality is RFC will be in administration until all outstanding debt issues are crystalized and put in the form of a CVA.
The debt must go before a buyer comes in, they do not know what the debt is yet, it will take until the end of the season for all these issues to be resolved.

Believable10 Unbelievable8

Players being greedy? Get a grip mate, would you agree to a 75% wage cut with potential of losing your job 1 month down the line? Don't forget, the more money a person earns the bigger house they buy the bigger car(s) they buy and not to forget that some of these players will have invested in numerous properties as a form of financial security for the future and those mortgages will have to be paid regardless. I agree that footballers are paid way over the top but their career is short lived so they have to set themselves up for the future.
Basically what I'm saying is that you are not entirely correct to say that the players are being greedy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Greedy eh? So they're to blame are they? Get real and smell the coffee. There is one man and one man only who is responsible for this mess and we all know who that is

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree and don't agree. Players may or may not be greedy but more than one man is to blame for all of this. There are a number of "the invisible" implicated

Agree0 Disagree0

From the BBC news site…
Ranger’s goalkeeper Allan McGregor has furiously denied that he has refused to take a wage cut and he says he has offered to make a huge salary sacrifice to help his team mates and the club.
McGregor's solicitor is threatening legal action should anyone report as fact that he refused to take a pay cut.

Now call me cynical and I’m not saying McGregor didn’t offer to take a wage cut, and I’ll have my PPI claims solicitor on to anyone that says otherwise, but why make such a song and dance if he did offer to take a cut?

Agree0 Disagree0

Like all the sh*t they came out with about Whyte last October? Can you give us evidence of this sh*t to which you refer?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the Admin guys versus the agents. No one else has a look in especially Ally or the players. The players pay agents to take care of this stuff. It's over their heads and Ally's.
To be honest that's how it should be. But normally Admin would just pick their guys and sack them. So why drag it out unless you're having a laugh and milking it yourself.?

Agree0 Disagree0

It would seem that this process is being unnecessarily dragged out - why? Is it so that liquidation is then seen to be the only way out. Which if you believe some reports was the original plan.

Rangers players have accepted a 75 per cent cut in wages to prevent the squad being decimated by up to 15 redundancies.

At one stage the club's administrators threatened to axe the club's top five earners, plus 10 others, as they tried to reduce monthly outgoings by £1.2m

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2111272/Rangers-players-accept-75-cent-wage-cut.html

Believable9 Unbelievable10

What would happen if the players didn't agree to the wage cut and decided to take industrial action? Is striking a possibility?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing is sorted yet. It's the players agents negotiating on their and their clients behalf. Agents don't want to lose their income. 75% too much. D&P have gone the extra mile and the axe is likely. Greedy agents negotiating RFC into liquidation!

Agree0 Disagree0

The directors, the suits and the money men who all caused this take us fans for granted, the harder they treat us the more loyal we become. Well I think we should show them fan power and boycott the odd home game like flash strikes. Boycotting games worked for Celtic fans and it'll speed up these administrators. Whyte took notice at the empty seats before he left.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it possible the Rangers players could go on strike? If so what would happen, would they be sacked?

Agree0 Disagree0

Concidering that the players have until mid morning to give their decisions i would ignore that story

Agree0 Disagree0

There will be redundancies no matter what is agreed. The longer it is not agreed with the less cash that is available. If the players had agreed initially then it would have been a minimum. However no matter what is agreed now people will still be required to go. Ally is desperate to hold onto players for the old firm game. What really should happened is the players should have been all let go immediately. Come out of admin, sell club then rehire the players. Its not looking very good now.
