Ed I am surprised no one has posted about the apparent switching of sides by the Easdales and their PR company to the "Rebel" shareholders. When/why did this happen and is it a game changer? Mather, Stockbridge and Smart looking ever more isolated and out of touch. Change looks close now and then hopefully the actual position of the club in financial terms will become clear

Believable28 Unbelievable38

I believe the easdales true blues are playing Charles Green at his own game.
get his shares and shaft him by then joining forces with mcoll and co.

The OP makes a good point. I hope the second post is right, too. This AGM/EGM will be pretty interesting.

I still think mather has done a good job so far, the rest can go but Mather pit his money in the pot ok he will have it back by now but still put his own money in the pot has a good working relationship with ally and has been on hand to offer support to bring in the players alt wanted what's the problem with him, with mather, blin king and Murray on board there should be a good boardroom if the dafties get to and let real business minds move the club and company on. What would be good about Murray being on the board? He was on it when we got liquidated first time round so didn't do a very good job then! As for the Easdales are you telling me they haven't been totally honest with Charles Green? Well stone me! You wouldn't expect that from convicted fraudsters would you??

Agree1 Disagree2

I have known Mr mather a good few years now, and having spoken to him recently I can tell you all he wants the best for OUR club. He is not worried but slightly concerned about what's going on and DOES welcome the new boardroom members. Things will become apparent soon. Heads will roll. Mr mather will stay. Watp

Was Paul murry not part of the SDM group if so he was nor there when old company went into liquidation as most of that board walked when whyte came in

Agree1 Disagree0

@2 If the Easdales buy Green's shares, he will have shafted them

Agree1 Disagree0

Let's get things straight about Paul Murray. He came onto the board years after David Murray had incurred huge debt and had set in motion the dire EBTS. He worked with Alastair Johnstone and reduced the debt from £36M to £18M and then he and Johnstone and the rest of the board warned Murray about Whyte. He was not a director during Whyte's short reign of ignomy- so give the guy a break and get your facts straight and engage your brain before you let your belly rumble and talk p#sh

Ok then Paul Murray is a great guy! So why could him & all his cohorts including so called billionaires not come up with more cash than Charles Green to buy the assets? I'll tell you why. Because they would rather the club died so they could pick them up for nothing. They had plenty opportunity to pick them up & basically wouldn't put their own money up!! £5million was Greens offer & they wouldn't match it.

Agree0 Disagree1

Easedales not backing Mcoll they are trying to drum up support for the current board, can't understand them you would think they being Rangers men would see what this board is up to. Can only think they are after overall controll for themselves, but do they have the capital to run such a massive club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray did reduce 36mil to 18mil and to buy the club fae duffer and duffer woz already a dun deal with green {closed sale} so facts before opinions always the best way

It wasn't a done deal at all! Green entered after the blue knights had failed to outbid Bill Miller. He ran away then they AGAIN failed to outbid Green! FACT! Believe what you want but Murray & the rest are every bit vultures as Green! We do not have any true Rangers men willing to put their OWN money & fortunes on the line for us. Murray used the banks money. Whyte used ticketus money & Green is now using OUR share money! Wake up ffs!! That is FACT!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I worry about the Easdales they ain't got Greens shares yet never have trusted Green so hope Easdales are not Green Lacky. Dave King is making his move he couldn't do anything until now with all his South African problems sorted now this guy has Blue blood running through his vain.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Murray had the opportunity to buy the club from SDM before Whyte but offered pittance including refusing to pay the Lloyds debt. As a result the club was sold to Whyte. Second time around he had the same opportunity to pick the club up from D&P for less than he had offered SDM in the first place and still couldn't manage it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah Murray never offered to pay Lloyds, as it was manageable at 1m a year, no did Whyte pa them, ticketus did, look at trouble that caused. I like Murray, King and McColl, hope they work together, and bring in Kennedy and Parks. IF FOR Example King and McColl, and Kennedy bought 20% each, rest of club was owned by other mentioned parties, Mather (who I rate) and fan groups and small shareholders then we would be ok, with risk spread out.

Andy Mitchell heading to Annan on a 3 month loan. Good luck to the lad, hope it goes well!

Believable33 Unbelievable14

Haste ye back young mr mitchell, a player for the future let's hope a decent deal is waiting for you for next term
.

Agree1 Disagree0

Just let the boy go if he's not good enough for this league he won't be good enough next season either.

Agree0 Disagree3

Mitchell is good enough but McCoist now has an abundance of players for most positions and the young boys will now struggle to get the same opportunities unless they are exceptional as is teh case with MacLeod.

Unfortunately we will run the risk of losing some of these good young players while we will be stuck with also rans like Perry for the simple reason that they are not good enough.

Right fellow bears who would you rather sign pandza or zaliukas?, me personnally, i'd go for pandza as he's younger and we might be able to sell him on in a couple off seasons. thoughts?. W. A. T. P. billy the bear.

@to billy the bear, pandza every day of the week proven Bosnian International and at a good age too!

Pandza any day but what if we can get both nd if we do I would put jig upfront I, d put jig nd little up front at home nd clark nd Daly away

Agree0 Disagree2

Pandza for me too he is younger and we may get a few years out of him

Ozzie Al

Agree1 Disagree1

Why o why do we need another c /half to win this tier of Scottish football. Money should be saved for the rainy days ahead. Will we ever learn

Agree1 Disagree1

Both? Hang on mate don't forget big Mohsni at the back now

Agree1 Disagree1

That would be a great idea get rid of daly and Clarke, then when jig gets suspended by Xmas time and little is injured for a few weeks we'll have loads of back up.

Agree0 Disagree1

In an ideal world we would take both, as Pandza is young and Zaliukas is reaching his prime - we need to be challenging for all positions.

We have to make a confirmed stamp on this league to show all concerned of our intentions and make them sit up and take notice that The Famous Glasgow Rangers are on there way back - not the stutter and splutter of last year.

Zaliukas would do for me.

Agree0 Disagree2

I would have said that it is a no brainer since Pandza is the younger player but then we do not know the ins and outs of why his signing has taken so long.

We also have to remember that right now we have a number of other centre backs on the books. Faure, when he has played there has looked a decent player and we don't appear to be able to move Cribari on.

We will also be left with Perry when he returns to fitness although hopefully McCoist will be able to put him out on loan somewhere and then let him go for free.

Agree0 Disagree1

To the guys saying Pandza, you have probably never seen him playing so how can you make that judgement? this is a guy who has mucked us around and is using Rangers as a last resort. I wouldn't let him near Ibrox personally!

For me it has to be Zaliukus - proven Lithuanian international, knows the game in Scotland and is settled here.

Agree1 Disagree1

06 Sep 2013 12:23:49
to the guy sayin pandza is muckin us about its us that's holdin the deal up for what reason a don't no he was hopen to b signed before he went on internatonal duties

Agree0 Disagree1

To reply #6: when he said Daly and Clark away, he meant play them in the away matches, not get rid them!

If we can only get one of the centre backs I'd go for Zaliukas. Just because Pandza is a Bosnian international doesn't mean he'll be a good signing. We've been stung before by players who arrived with a good pedigree but failed to adapt to the Scottish game, at least we know what we're getting with Zaliukas.

Agree0 Disagree0

One word Zaliukas

Agree0 Disagree0

Zaliukas, we need experience to ensure quickest return to the top flight, Celtic are poor, a very poor team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Defiantly zaliukas. He's been in Scotland a good few Years. Would not need time to adapt. Did anyone hear of pandza before the interest? And doubt we will hear anything about him after.

Agree0 Disagree0

If celtic are a poor team what does that make us? Some people need a reality check we are a small team (with a big support) building for the future, but most of our fans don't want to accept that and want to spend spend spend where will that get us? Oh hang on a minute deja-vu?

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy sayin pandza is muckin us about its us that's holdin the deal up for what reason a don't no he was hopen to b signed before he went on internatonal duties

Really? Is that why he knocked back two offers and had his agent all round Europe looking for other deals? Is that why he openly said that he would come to Rangers if he never had any other offers and only then if it didn't affect his international chances? Wake up and smell the coffee!
