Anyone heard anything regarding the 2 Yanks on trial 2 weeks ago?
Rumour was they'd both been offered deals but heard nothing since.

07 Jan 2019 15:05:03
Have not signed yet.

06 Jan 2019 21:48:55
Steven Davis confirmed 👌🏻 . What a piece of business and welcome home.
Re 6 month contract would anyone give up 48 k per week - rangers paying 12 k of the reported 60k weekly wage. If he (when) shows his worth rangers will then sign him up long term.

06 Jan 2019 21:29:29
Look for Coulibaly to respond positively in second half of season. Too much talk on here that his days are numbered with signing of Kamara. Watch Coulibaly go, will be even better than was at start of season before injury.

06 Jan 2019 16:02:31
Defoe signed 18 month loan deal. Confirmed on ssn.

06 Jan 2019 20:03:39
2 clicks for Unbelievable! Hahaha.

06 Jan 2019 22:20:30
Added one of my own. This is a false story.

06 Jan 2019 15:40:00
Kris Boyd reckons Rangers will add a few more this window He's quoted as saying " that the Defoe deal won't be biggest". Does he mean Davis deal is bigger or is there another belter on the way" thoughts.

06 Jan 2019 16:24:01
He is saying the Davis one is the big one.

06 Jan 2019 18:01:39
How would he know Anyway?

06 Jan 2019 19:30:30
knowbody knows we will all find out in the next couple of weeks but its nice waking up each day hearing about new and potential signings onwards and upwards.

06 Jan 2019 20:48:20
I'll guarantee our next signing will be bigger.
Have you seen the size of Defoe.? 😃.

07 Jan 2019 08:52:42
Listen to nothing BOYD says he’s a complete KNOB.

06 Jan 2019 10:29:34
Defo completes medical and Davis deal looks to b a 6 month loan.

06 Jan 2019 11:05:08
That will be so he can still pick up the whole 60k or whatever his wage is before signing in the summer smart move from all concerned.

06 Jan 2019 13:12:15
Yea I'm hearing 6month loan only from the sun who I don't trust but the hold up was they where trying to decide if it's a 18month permanent or a loan till his contract runs out then if he does well a 2year at the end of the season I'm happy either way.

06 Jan 2019 14:11:14
Jordy, why not just sign a pre contract with us then?

06 Jan 2019 14:54:31
Or could it be SG has another target in mind for summer.

06 Jan 2019 16:22:24
87 I don't know, like everyone else I am just putting forward an opinion, none of us know the details. Either way we still have him until the end of the season.

06 Jan 2019 18:59:39
I maybe wrong but I don't think you can do both sign on loan to play out remaining 6 months of contract as well as sign a pre contract.

06 Jan 2019 09:34:28
Just heard again from my club source that Gerrard has told barisic he need to sort out his pain threshold and man up. I could see AH making the LB slot his own with Wallace as back up.

06 Jan 2019 10:37:00
I like Barasic but the way Andy has been performing this season I don’t have an issue with that he deserves the spot. Just hope he can keep it up. He’s ones of our own!

06 Jan 2019 10:49:07
Tommyrangers halliday too slow to be fullback if barasic not making Gerrard happy then should be looking for replacement instead of another midfielder.

06 Jan 2019 11:43:27
Am not buying this club source p*sh. Halliday played well enough against c*ltic and certainly gives 100% but he's nowhere near as good as barsic as a left back. Can't see Gerrard announcing to anyone to 'man up' at the club. If he has, WTF has he said to Rossiter?

06 Jan 2019 12:37:04
there is no doubting barisic has quality but i just hope he can stay fit seems to be injured a lot of the time.
For me we should have kept john as he could also have played left back and also left wing.
I think we do have to look at signing another left back if barisic can't stay fit.

06 Jan 2019 12:48:58
Gerrard said before St Johnstone game when asked about Wallace, that Barasic is first choice left back and before Hibs game at Ibrox on boxing day he said that it was hamstring issue and would miss at least next couple of games. That is the only club source I need tbh.

06 Jan 2019 13:55:35
I asked barisic at the Celtic game how long he be out for and told me 10 to 14 days.
So he'll be back for next game.

06 Jan 2019 15:47:28
Somehow with SG building a squad i don't think the 2.2 mil fee we payed for borna will mean he will sit on the bench i'm 110% sure the manager knows his plan so will probably mean AH bein a bit part player once borna is fit again. I do like Halliday tho he gives his all everytime he puts the famous shirt on.

06 Jan 2019 16:36:33
Did someone seriously just say we should of kept Declan John lol wow.

06 Jan 2019 16:56:24
What nonsense. No way he's told him to "man up". Gerrards a professional not some Sunday league coach.

06 Jan 2019 19:34:31
Did we not sign a couple of young Americans that are wingbacks, surely they will be cover and barisic 1st choice, barisic’s got a great cross on him if he can get it by the 1st defender but personally think that Morelas and defoe will not want constant looping cross to try get on.

06 Jan 2019 20:55:51
Am I missing something? I’ve never seen barisic play really well in a Rangers shirt not saying he’s a bad player but I did think it was strange signing him off the back of a “quite good” performance against us in euro qualifying but before that I’d never seen or heard of the fella so jury’s still out for me!

07 Jan 2019 16:35:30
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 what utter rubbish.

06 Jan 2019 09:34:23
Hibs fan, I come in peace.

Bumped into Charlie Adam on Thursday on Buchanan Street but looked in a hurry, not catching the sales.

Was he just up watching your big win or is he making the move back up North? Not getting a game at Stoke. Still a quality player, would stand out in SPL.

06 Jan 2019 09:53:00
Did he buy the big issue from you though 😄.

06 Jan 2019 10:30:45
charlie adam is as slow as a week in the jail no thanks more hibs standard.

06 Jan 2019 12:34:13
Charlie Adam in a hurry now there's a sentence I never thought I would hear.

06 Jan 2019 13:03:07
Homeless stereo type. belter. Watch you don’t fall in scraping the bottom of that bucket.

I reckon he would improve your side. Great cross on him and looking to make an impression to get back in the Scotland side. I’d happily take him at Hibs. Just see him going to Ibrox first.

06 Jan 2019 14:19:49
Maybe the doughnut shop was about to close.

06 Jan 2019 16:57:24
Think he'll end up at Hearts. He's not good enough for Rangers anymore but he's far too good for Hibs.

06 Jan 2019 20:43:03
Feckin brilliant andyboyblue . that really made me laugh 😂.

06 Jan 2019 23:21:40
He was never good enough for rangers. Didn’t want him then and don’t want him now.

06 Jan 2019 09:12:23
I'm hearing Rangers are looking at Adam Taggart from Brisbane Roar Would be a decent backup to Morelos

He wouldn't break the bank Can get him for around 500k.

06 Jan 2019 10:51:34
Kasmania82 we already have Lafferty and now Defoe better off looking for fullbacks.

06 Jan 2019 08:22:03
Davis to sign a 6 month loan deal.

06 Jan 2019 09:53:25
Is this his choice or does SG have someone else lined up for summer move?

06 Jan 2019 07:05:12
The shock news I'm hearing this morning, is that steven davis has only signed a 6 month loan deal, until the end of the season! Why a loan deal many of us ask? I thought his deal was most definitely going to be a permanent one! I take It this has to be down to his wages maybe being unaffordable, for us. The other reason is surely not, that davis is keeping his options open, to see what other clubs want to sign him, in the summer!

06 Jan 2019 07:26:56
You mean read in the papers.

06 Jan 2019 07:31:56
He’s on a reported £60,000 grand a week and still has 6 months of that deal left it looks as if he is running that contract out and then do a deal with rangers at the end of the season.

06 Jan 2019 07:36:02
Davis on 6 month loan deal is a shock but my feeling is we will have him and Defoe both just for 6 months unless maybe we win the title. Bournemouth have the option to recall him in the summer so I’d be surprised if they didn’t take up that option.

06 Jan 2019 07:45:13
I don’t see how this is a big deal?! It’s win win really, we get him for 6 months for a title push, if we win the league he’ll probably sign. If we don’t we have other CM available and could probably save some money in wages.

06 Jan 2019 08:20:11
Maybe not such a bad piece of business. We hope and expect both Davis and Defoe to still be quality players but this allows us the luxury of only being committed to paying his wages or whatever portion of it till the end of the season.
If it doesn’t work out we are not needing to pay a wage for a further year, if it does I’m sure both parties will get another 12 month deal done at the end of the season.
As it stands I Genuinely can’t see Defoe being recalled either as his gaffa stated he supports whatever’s best for Jermaine before splashing out £19m on Solanke as his back up striker.
Heard the boy King is attracting interest from Chelsea though which could change things.

06 Jan 2019 08:43:11
Maybe it’s just me but I was always under the impression it was a deal until the end of the season. Loan or otherwise. No great shock to me. Probably a loan so his wages are subsidised by Southampton.

06 Jan 2019 11:52:36
It’s not shock news it’s actually ideal for us and him. See if he still has it and can adapt to our style. Yes he was brilliant for us in the past but we have a new style and manager and Davis isn’t that young player we had before.

06 Jan 2019 12:33:09
I'm not fooled in the least by supporters saying its not a shock to them, that its a 6 month loan deal steven davis is signing, as opposed to the reported 18 month permanent deal! that's supporters trying to save grace by saying that now! Truth is, the majority of our supporters will be slightly shocked, as we thought it was a permanent deal, that davis was signing! Just be honest for god sake!

06 Jan 2019 13:31:13
Surely this is just a win, win situation. He gets his existing wages with us only contributing what we deem affordable.

No doubt we’ll thrash out a permanent agreement in the summer, but by starting with a loan contract Davis bags an extra 100k or more over the next 6 months before settling for what we can afford!

06 Jan 2019 15:40:33
Supercoop, relax it was always contractually going to be an initial 6 month loan for the reasons stated, not a shock.

06 Jan 2019 16:28:54
Ok I am HONESTLY not shocked or annoyed at this situation. We will have him until the end of the season regardless so whether he then signs in the summer or not is irrelevant. We are getting him now for 6 months and hopefully he helps us win the league which is all that matters.

06 Jan 2019 17:18:57
Davis would not come back for only six months. He takes 60 k till end of season them signs two year deal.

06 Jan 2019 21:36:43
Calm down Coops, I think you really should try and avoid tabloid newspapers. Their sensationalist spin seems to get you in a panic every time. He’s not keeping his options open he just couldn’t come to an agreement with Southampton to tear up the remainder of his contract. He will sign in the summer probably 1year with a further year option.

06 Jan 2019 22:52:42
Super. whats a shock? A shock is when ye stick yer taddger in a plug socket and turn the switch on .
6 months and we your fighting that mob for the league and they will be in shock when we win it 👍😂.

05 Jan 2019 22:59:34
Is there any interest in young josh maya? Saw he has turned down a contract extension. Young plater with eye for goal and huge potential.
