Like the sound of Taylor signing. Keeping the guy fit seems to be the only issue. Solid in premiership any time he played so should be a legend up here. Here's hoping amigos! . 1 target at a time. WATFP!

06 Jun 2016 00:48:14
Agreed, I'm quite surprised by the negative reaction about his ability as a defender, after signing guys like cribari the clubs going in the right direction.

06 Jun 2016 02:50:18
The club's already light years away from the Cribari days. Doesn't make Taylor a good defender or any less injury prone though. He averages about a dozen games a season and everybody in Newcastle is glad he's off.

06 Jun 2016 03:30:21
If he is good enough to stay that long at Newcastle in the premier he is good enough for rangers.

06 Jun 2016 20:23:20
Not if he's done, Thegers1986. And he's done.

05 Jun 2016 21:00:14
Steven Taylor in talks with the gers, thoughts bears?

05 Jun 2016 22:13:45
Good player if he's not injured. Trouble is he's always injured.

05 Jun 2016 22:18:04
I don't think he is that great but in Warbs we trust.

05 Jun 2016 22:31:32
As long as we can keep him fit then it's a positive move. Let's face it he can't be any worse than the two he have already.

05 Jun 2016 22:35:33
Mmm. Not a fan of his however he always gives 100% and he's not going up against the Aguero's and Vardy's of the Premiership so he could do a job for us.

05 Jun 2016 22:36:20
Risky I think due to injuries, hope he stays fit plays well and proves me wrong, has good pedigree good experience I can see why warbs would be interested.

05 Jun 2016 22:36:56
He's rotten. Not any better than we've got at the moment.

05 Jun 2016 22:41:46
I posted this the other night mate and it didn't go down well but am not sure about the guy masel.

05 Jun 2016 22:47:20
Is the other team still in for him?

06 Jun 2016 00:53:30
I think the players we are going for and the players we have already signed is great business, the difference in the club is superb, it wasn't long ago we were signing black, cribari, kyle and peralta God rest him, I'm just really happy with the direction the club is going.

05 Jun 2016 20:14:57
Steven Taylor travelling to ibrox tomorrow for signing talks news from the STV news app.
What's happening with the strips it's ridiculous no news from Rangers about what is goingon

05 Jun 2016 21:14:26
You keep him fit then you've got a guy who will do really well for us. Always good for a goal too which our current 2 centre halves wouldn't know anything about!

05 Jun 2016 21:22:48
Our centre half a have scored at least ten goals. Just not in the right direction.

05 Jun 2016 22:00:26
What you talking about dmccunnin?

05 Jun 2016 21:55:53
Steven taylor and matt crooks new pairing possibly. 2 big lads. just what we need.

06 Jun 2016 00:44:03
Our centre halves don't go forward really since we take short corners and don't lob them into the box.

Can't blame them for not scoring, that's just nitpicking.

06 Jun 2016 00:56:58
Spot on davie.

06 Jun 2016 12:40:35
The centre half's weren't the problem. Wallace and tav left us well open at the back.

05 Jun 2016 19:18:50
Sky sources: Steven Taylor to hold signing talks with rangers tomorrow.

05 Jun 2016 19:37:46
Yer talking single fish.

05 Jun 2016 19:39:05
You got any links bus?

05 Jun 2016 19:51:51
Go to Keith downies twitter @skysports_keith.

05 Jun 2016 19:54:02
Stu magoo why not check for yourself before saying I'm talking 'single fish'

05 Jun 2016 19:58:17
Keith dowie Twitter page bud, Taylor will be in Glasgow tomorrow to speak to the gers!

05 Jun 2016 19:59:17
Keith downie Twitter page bud!

05 Jun 2016 21:40:38
Ma bad.

05 Jun 2016 22:34:10
Solid rumour there Connor 👍🏼.

05 Jun 2016 22:38:16
Mackay, Lafferty, Waghorn
Rossiter, Barton, Forrester
Wallace, Wilson, Taylor, Tavernier

I know Taylor and Lafferty haven't signed yet, but i think that's a decent Rangers team for next season, strong looking, plus there will be more signing coming in.

05 Jun 2016 23:38:29
A few issues with your lineup! Lafferty will not be signing, yes like everyone else I've heard he's bought a house in thorntonhall but believe me it's a complete non starter and with at least another 4 players still to come in I very much doubt the likes of forester/ Wilson or foderingham will be automatic picks! Apart from that your team lineups not too bad!

05 Jun 2016 22:56:47
Stu magoo

How can you say that the original poster was talking pish.
We're you one of the folk that said Barton would never sign?

If we sign taylor and keep him fit, then we have a great signing on our hands. As much as I respect lee Wallace for all he has done I'd have taylor as our captain all day long. I'll probably take a pounding for this but it's just my opinion.
If we sign him then we back him like we do with any other player we sign and we fully support our management team.

06 Jun 2016 07:07:46
Wrong stu magoo pal I did not say Barton would never sign, and the Steven Taylor thing I apologise for the "single fish" I thought it was another 2+2 together rumour as most of the names banded about are rubbish with no substance.

06 Jun 2016 14:10:23
I never actually said that you commented on joey Barton, I just asked were u one of the folk that heard his name and said no chance.

If we manage to pull this one off and can keep him fit then I think we have a great signing in our hands.

When's the last time that we were brining guys in from the premiership? (Ok I know Newcastle have been relegated)

These signings coupled with Rodgers at Celtic can only raise the profile of our game and start getting out league noticed and maybe start getting teams doing better in Europe.

05 Jun 2016 12:29:02
Only passing on a piece of news I've just heard guys, I'm hearing that kyle lafferty is definitely signing again for rangers possibly to be announced before the european championships start on friday, I don't want big lafferty anywhere near rangers but a good source of info of mine says he's signing.

05 Jun 2016 13:39:20
I'd take him back. If someone can tap in to his NI form at club level he'd be a nice wee asset. Any rumors of the fee or is it a freebie?

05 Jun 2016 13:41:24
No reason to doubt you but I for one don't want him anywhere near ibrox. an absolute imposter and I would like to say what I really think of him but I'd get barred off the site!

05 Jun 2016 13:47:47
Warbs15 i know youve been right in a few of you're posts mate, but i hope you're incorrect with this one mate, lafferty done nothing but cause hassle in the dressing room last time, plus i think he threatened the club with court actions before he last departed? we know he can score goals when his contract is up for renewal lol, but for me its a no, the guy is more trouble than he is worth, imo, don't get me wrong mate he could be a changed character, but is it worth the gamble, not in my eyes its not.

05 Jun 2016 13:54:45
Ad have lafferty bk no prob boys a decent enuff player. he jumped off a sinking ship granted but end of day it's his job must put himself and his finances in place b4 anything else tbh. don't think any1 of us would stay in our job if we were going t lose a fortune in wages, time 2 move on let bygone b bygones and go for 55.

05 Jun 2016 14:12:53
Only thing I know about mate is that I know 100% the guys bought a house in thorntonhall. Posted it here a few weeks before it broke he was marrying girl from East Kilbride (next town over) , so I believe this could be correct.

If it gets us the league I'd sign Bin Laden.

05 Jun 2016 14:53:42
I don't know why there is this anamosity regarding these players they obviously knew what was happening with green et all and got out before it hit. Yes they tried to sue green and co but because they were custodians of rangers it looked like they were sueing rangers. I know it hurt a lot of fans but remember maybe these guys knew before we did what was about to take place and knew something that we still donr know. everyone deserves a second chance to redeem themselves in my opinion.

05 Jun 2016 15:31:39
I'd like to no what trouble he has caused in the dressing rooms he's been in. He was a young player who probably spat his dummy out now and again. I've never heard any of his team mates slag him off. He might have been a rocket off the pitch but he never caused unrest in the dressing rooms he's been in.

05 Jun 2016 15:41:55
I don't want lafferty back just because I don't rate him I think we could aim little higher in terms of quality, it doesn't bother me that he left before if he was good enough I'd have him, I trust the magic hat though bring in the right people.

05 Jun 2016 15:53:17
I agree, imagine your boss came to you and said look, I need you to take a 50% wage cut to save the business, then a couple months later liquidates them, would you hang around when there was a chance they might not even get voted into the 3rd division? I onow I wouldn't.

05 Jun 2016 16:00:47
Lafferty was nothing but trouble when he was at Rangers and we had more Lafferty Headlines on the front page rather than the back page! He never showed anything of the quality that would merit a £3m / £4m transfer fee and personally I don't want to see this character anywhere near Rangers.

05 Jun 2016 16:14:34
Big Laff was good in last 18 months of his career in big games especially. If rumour is true I for 1 will be pleased. I know he left in acrimonious circumstances if he hadn't I reckon most fans would be delighted to see him return.
From a Footballing perspective there's no doubt a guy who averages more more than a goal every other game at International level would be a good signing.
Might just be a rumour but Lafferty, Miller and Waghorn would be good for us as they all have different qualities and strengths.

05 Jun 2016 17:00:18
Stop being so negative aboot lafferty. If he had stayed and been sold it would have only filled the pockets of we know who. Need to get the best possible chance of stopping the sweaty mob, that is the one and only objective, and none of us should lose sight of that. Warbs is needing full support and no time for doubters, all together now.

05 Jun 2016 17:19:31
Whoever warbs buys that will do me, lafferty on his day is a great striker but I can't see it happening.

05 Jun 2016 17:38:19
I'd have him back. He's been excellent for NI so don't see why he can't be for us. It's another option upfront especially with his height. Do I remember correct and say he was played out wide under previous management? Get him up front winning high balls and get some runners off him.
Folk are saying he was "nothing but trouble"! I don't remember any trouble aside from the Mulgrew head butt incident.
Let's not forget what he did to Kilmarnock inside 7 minutes! Probably the most amazing 7 minutes I've ever seen from any Rangers side. EVER!

05 Jun 2016 17:50:20
Aye he used to be pants throughout the season until a new deal was in the offing when he would apply himself. Tall, but you could slide a fag paper under his feet at corners. Utterly frustrating and frankly not worth the hassle. Never rated him and really hope he f***s off again like he left us at the drop of a hat in 2012.

05 Jun 2016 20:11:53
Would be decent acquisition for us but likely to go to the likes of a Hull, Burnley etc although IMO never worth £8m closer to £3m.

05 Jun 2016 20:55:08
Who mentioned 8 million.

05 Jun 2016 21:37:03
3 million? Are you having a Lafferty?

05 Jun 2016 21:51:08
Compared to some of the puddins that have been mentioned here, the big lad is a worldie!

05 Jun 2016 14:43:08
Yeah I did post lafferty coming back a while ago and got told I was silly. Don't want him back!

05 Jun 2016 16:37:46
Bring him back scored some quality and vital goals for us,

05 Jun 2016 17:38:51
I think Lafferty would do a job for us, and tbh off the park he seems to have settled down which is the main reason people against him coming back, MW and DW no mugs . so I continue to trust their judgement if they do sign him 💙✌.

05 Jun 2016 17:43:14
Stuzo healso could have stayed like big waldo, if he had really wanted to be a legand, but lafferty was out to make money from any club willing to pay him, i know its a short career, and players try to make a nest for when they retire, but do you honestly think waldo will be short of dosh because he stayed? because i dont, lafferty was more interested in how high he could pish up the street poles when he was drunk, imho.

06 Jun 2016 00:47:01
Just as a player, I'd take him back.

After how he left us though, I'd hate to see him in a Gers top again, he doesn't deserve the privilege of playing for us.

06 Jun 2016 02:57:42
Amazing. The fans who are crucifying Lafferty (saying he's a dressing room troublemaker with nothing to back it up) are the same ones who were ecstatic when we signed Joey Barton, a PROPER aresehole.

06 Jun 2016 10:18:07
On the thinking "lafferty is good for NI so would be good for us" I have two words folks . David Healey! Look how that turned out.

06 Jun 2016 12:42:26
Lafferty was good enough the first time round and the spl is nowhere near the level as it was 5 years ago.

06 Jun 2016 11:31:20
Wee ecky we were not privy to the dressing room hastle caused by lafferty, but more front page than back page stories let's people know the of lafferty, and though none of the players that shared the dressing room with him said nowt ide imagine a good few of them will let us guys that paid his wages know all about him when they right there books, .

06 Jun 2016 20:29:37
Anyone in particular, bigjoh85, or is it just your imagination right enough? Personally I wouldn't go near him, but that wasn't the point. It's the hypocrisy of those who slate him, whether he was on the front or back pages, while willingly accepting Barton, who was also a regular visitor to the front pages.

04 Jun 2016 23:59:57
Alex Pritchard is set to leave Tottenham but only at £8m asking price. If no takers he could be headed up to Rangers on loan.

05 Jun 2016 13:40:05
Pritchard is a class act. Be delighted to get him in on loan.

05 Jun 2016 15:58:13
He will probably have premier league interest so not holding my breath on this one.

05 Jun 2016 14:25:52
Come on get real there's no way your going to sign someone at £8m they days have gone.

05 Jun 2016 16:16:05
If he leaving spurs how can we get him on loan lol.

06 Jun 2016 10:21:20
I believe if u read the original post correctly then u will see the words "if no takers then he could be headed up to rangers on loan"

The Edinburgh education system is obviously lacking in the reading department ;)

05 Jun 2016 09:42:58
Heard Rangers concidering bid for Sam winnall of Barnsley plays upfront.

05 Jun 2016 03:23:45
Rangers back in for Finnish internationalist Centre Back Paulus Arajuuri from Lech Poznan 250k raid.

05 Jun 2016 05:09:12
Big guy at the back is what we need.

05 Jun 2016 07:05:33
According to some on here Grant Hanley and Gordon Greer fitted the bill nicely. Would be good to know if they still think this after their schoolboy display last night. We are back to Berti Vogts like displays. On another note does the fact that Mulgrew played mean that he is not in Buck's plans for his 'assault' on the CL?

05 Jun 2016 08:03:47
Anyone who says Grant Hanley is a football player has lost the plot. Guys got a build an maybe a 1.2 litre engine to go with it. Good on the guy he's made a living out of the game but he ain't my idea of a player that's for sure.

05 Jun 2016 08:24:57
Where did you hear bout the bid for finish guy Kaz?

05 Jun 2016 14:08:04
Certainly fits the bill and wouldn't break the bank. Worth the gamble for me.

05 Jun 2016 15:22:55
He's got less than 7 months remaining on his contract. (31/ 12/ 16) Offer low now and if they don't bite, offer the boy a pre-contract on 1st July?

05 Jun 2016 02:50:26
Calum Chambers anyone? Arsenal want to put him out on loan for a season. Good cover for right back/ centre half.

05 Jun 2016 04:44:14
good cover lol you joking.

05 Jun 2016 06:34:12
Cover. Calum chambers is a player would oust keirnan or Wilson for a starting slot no prob. would b a coup 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

05 Jun 2016 06:31:17
Good cover? Have you actually seen our full back and centre halfs there all shite bar wallace. chambers would literally walk into the side. We would be better off playing with 10 having chambers on his own CB than with the 2 diddies we currently have.

05 Jun 2016 13:23:01
He's worse than what we have.

05 Jun 2016 14:10:38
Arsenal would never loan him to the Scottish league and if they did he would be 100% first team all day long.

05 Jun 2016 16:24:46
Why not? He needs 1st team experience and to toughen up. Not going to get that down at the Arsenal selfie-squadron! They also loaned us Gedion who, worryingly for them, is one of their best prospects!

05 Jun 2016 16:32:31
Chambers is linked with a move back to Southampton lol cracking player some of the names on this the past week are cracking.
