Followed kyles career from sunderland to hearts hes the type of foward we need its the third division were in no the champions league he stays fif him and little will have a ball this season

If true (i hope not) just solidifies the long ball game

surely we should be looking at someone with a bit of pace and guile - & a decent set of young midfielders to support him

I was just at the Rangers mega store buying the new shirts for my kids. Then when i was walking out i saw Ryan Smilie, of Queen of the south coming into Ibrox. A nice little singing that would be.

considering we only have till september to get players in things are going very slow i would av thought they wud av already had players lined up if i wer green i would put a bid in for templeton and jonny russel then see if they would come rather than beatie and kyle temps and russel would have sell on value

@ least be realistic.

I love yer optimism mate, but I think you need a reality check. Mind we're in the 3rd division now so quality SPL players wont come to us in my opinion.

I agree for every 5 pence peterhead spend greene will spend 10!! and then in 5 years time when your team collapses again you can blame the media and the people who run rangers and wonder how we could have seen this coming, this is a great chance to focus on young players and use mur*y park for what it was ment for

Haven't you noticed, Green hasn't spent a penny in transfer fees, they are all free agents that are being trialled. Is his consortium that skint?

I am very good friends with davids sister and rangers tried to get him in january and offered him 5000 a week and there's no chance he will sign as there is teams in england wanting him, he's playing out his contract at hearts and then wanting a move to england! Would love to see him sign for us but there's no chance he will.

Yeh go to Rangers and end your Scotland career, dont think any scottish player with any ambition about hoping to break into the Scotland team and a potential world cup in Brazil would ruin their career, playing against sub standard opposition for the next 2-3 years

Time to get real people you cant start spending money on transfer fees and wages for the third division ! Quite rightly taking things slow to get the right people in cause to go through these leagues its gna take players with a bit of grit and heart ! Ian black is a perfect aigning for this! Also remember they will b trying to help the likes of edu get a move to free up a wage and bring a bit if money in ! Look what happend the last time with stupid spending ! The huge issue is players hanging on at new Rangers and then leaving near the end of the transfer window, as they get somewhere else late in the window, leaving new Rangers no time to replace them. A kind of two finger salute on the way out the door.
New Rangers then cannot buy anyone for two seasons!

Skint or not mate its division 3 we're in. Even players worth 1 million quid would go to SPL before SFL3. Transfer fees mean nothing now... We should be trailing any free agents we can who can do a turn or focussing on youth.

There are really some roasters on here, players coming in will have to be free transfers and with limited ambition. Why anyone with ability and ambition would volunteer for the bottom tier in Scottish football is beyond me. Templeton nad Russell are not likely to be dropping a level anytime soon.

Don't think there is any need to spend money on players when u can pick up decent players like black and Shiels (nominated for player of the season last season) for free. Think green and his consortium have pumped quite alot of funds into rangers when you consider their purchase price and i assume they are covering the wages as i doubt they have had much coming in to the club in recent weeks.

U have to laugh at the timmys on this page. They really will say anything to deflect attention from a really poor show from them of late.

Get real whos gonna pay top dollar for a youth player scoring goals against part time bin men in the third ? any youth that looks good will get cherry picked for peanuts {Ed039's Note - Agreed, thats why they should not be for sale, plus a registration ban would mean that you would hardly be selling players anyway)

I had thought this window closed around 20th August. Are they now keeping it open until 4 weeks after the SPL season starts just to assist Rangers up until September? It's never been that late in the past. {Ed039's Note - It always closes 31st august/1st September)
