If we go to div 2 next season.
How many more players do we need on top of who we already have?
I d get rid of a few of our current squad but don't want us to spend more money than is fiscally prudent.
We pumped Alloa 7-0 in the cup last season & they are one of the top sides in that div.

How bout Nicky Clark and Nicky Law

Johnny Russell & Gary MacKay Stevens!

Agree0 Disagree1

Isn't there a limit on the amount of players over the age of 22 that can be registered? So unless some team wants to take some of te higher earners I don't see anyone coming in.

Johnny and Gary are still contracted at United

Agree1 Disagree1

We don't need to bring in a load of SPL players, a couple of seasoned centre halfs perhaps, a couple of experienced midfielders and a couple of forwards players, cherry pick the fine young players from the 1st and 2nd Div and let the youth come through, why spend to get through lowers tiers?

Agree2 Disagree0

To go forward and to additional be successful in the cup competitions Rangers require at least four players capable of walking straight into teh team, possibly five and additionally the could do with two or three additional squad players.

At the same time there are a number of current players that should be exited if this can be done free of cost.

That list includes the Greek guy that was acquired, Cribari and the two players currently out on loan and Perry.

We need two centre backs, a central midfield player and two strikers.

Agree0 Disagree1

Wage bill will go up but needs to come down and we can only register 22 players so how do we work that out???

Agree0 Disagree1

What about Nicky Clarke and Laws, Ally has already said he has spoken to their agents

Agree0 Disagree1

Even if Russell and GMS weren't under contract we still couldn't sign them FFS

Agree0 Disagree1

We should go for Darren dodds, has been released by Falkirk and would stroll through div2 and bring youngsters on

Agree1 Disagree1

I'd go for McManus, released by Middlesboro

Gary O Conner has been approached by Rangers with a view to signing, from the man himself.
Cant believe it myself he's the size of a whale.
Also somebody has been whispering in Davy Weirs ear at Everton that he's top of there list when Ally is replaced in the summer.

Believable18 Unbelievable64

At least you lies are original.

Agree0 Disagree1

O'Connor couldn't outrun a WPC in Edinburgh last year but the again nothing would surprise me at Ibrox, take a bit of pressure of Ally!

Agree0 Disagree1

I'd rather have des o'connor that than waste of space but then again. nothing would surprise me with mcoists transfer targets.

Agree0 Disagree1

I heard about O Conner last week but just didn't think it worth posting just shows you,
As for DW its a good shout but I doubt it

Agree0 Disagree1

I heard someone was whispering in David wier's ear about coming back and playing again! God knows he could still do a better job than 90 percent of the youngsters currently there lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Allys got another season to prove his managerial ability.

ed :what shall happen if the team now investigating decide that whyte. s takeover was illegal and the share issue was then illegal due to whyte still being involved, what would happen to the money from the share issue, pretty sure some of this shall have been used. would the club then be put up for sale again. would anyone who bought shares lose out again? {Ed001's Note - it really depends, there are any number of different scenarios, depending on what exactly is wrong. Having spoken to someone who deals with these kind of situations as part of his job, I have ended up with less idea what could happen! He does say that a lot depends on the parties involved, it could easily go to arbitration and a settlement reached amicably, or it could end up dragging through the courts for years. We can't even be sure whereabouts it would be decided the takeover became illegal. It could easily be as far back as the original buyout by Whyte!}

Believable27 Unbelievable2

Caveat emptor - latin for buyer beware!

the ipo was rushed, and critical elements like whytes claim for £30m and deeds not being available for viewing mean any one who invested KNEW this risks - enuff comment on here alone.

likely scenarios - as ed says its complex

a) bdo ( liquidatirs) may judge that £5 m for ibrox/murrypark assets ludicrous ( as they raised £22m in ipo! 4x more). likelihood 50-50, impact bdo ask for £10 m so creditors get more than just peanuts but 30 p/£

b) if whyte was defrauded of assets by d&p/green - then he gets payment ( from who?)

c) shares most likely worthless technically at this point,

its a tug-of- war that green and co have set up so either bdo want more money from rfc for assets ( for original creditors) or whyte wants payment.

best guess. fans asked to buy ibrox/mp in a single additional money raising exercise. and this raises £8 million and is split between bdo/whye

losers in all this. fans and investors

winners. murray, green

limbo. whyte but he ran rfc for 8 mths and must have made money then?

Lets just forget the costs incurred at the beginning of the process, the debenture bond holder guarantees, transfer of redundancy liabilities and the footballing debts that had to be paid.

Nope the company was given away for 5.5 million and hey presto, it immediately was worth 20 million.

Get real or pay attention, do you really believe the largest creditor HMRC would have wished the newco all the best if it believed the assets were grossly undervalued?

I hope you are a Celtic fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you've summed it up well. Figs may be underestimated though. I agree BDO. if they decide to overturn the asset sale will settle for a lump sum rather than get dragged through courts for ages. they have to get most for creditors, I'd go for £8-10m. CW would prefer BDO to act. When CG bought the assets from the dead club, CWs floating charge died also. If BDO rewind the clock, CWs charge would be re-activated.
Wrt the future, sources saying that CW has a claim wrt ownership. I can't confirm though. May be stormy waters in the next couple of weeks.
Some sources also saying, and I can't confirm this but I'm posting anyway that the board are trying to raise £30m of short term finance.
Seems CG and his spivs may have cleaned us out.
Hope the info is wrong. Only time will tell.

Agree0 Disagree0

The BDO is going to overturn the sale because some butcher, baker, candlestick maker thinks it is worth more.

Next case.
