Sorry to say bears but warburton will make one change tomorrow at a push. two he's too stubborn to change can still see halliday kiernan starting tomorrow and tav he's kept it that way all season.

03 Feb 2017 23:01:16
To play Devil's advocate what happens if he makes wholesale changes to the areas we all want after the Hearts game and we get destroyed again? That then cannot be Warbs fault but we will all blame him.

I could care less what team gets put out as long as they show passion to bounce back after the Hearts game!

03 Feb 2017 23:04:32
If he only makes one change he willl deserve all the abuse that will come his way.

04 Feb 2017 03:45:16
Well why sign senderos, dodoo, bates, etc if your no gny give them a game. guy is clueless

04 Feb 2017 04:04:11
I would say that the majority of the support want to see Kiernan and Halliday left out. That is not wholesale changes, it is only two players and two players that have been rank rotten all season.
If we don't have someone that can be deployed in the holding role that would do a better job than Halliday then questions have to be asked as to why we allowed Crooks to go out on loan.

As for Kiernan, Warburton has a choice of three centre backs to deploy instead of him!

04 Feb 2017 10:02:28
I'm sure I remember Mark Warburton saying earlier in the season that now that we have a supposed "stronger" squad than last season it would mean if players didn't perform then they would be out of the team. Well today is his chance to prove it or maybe it was just so much guff like -the gap (non existent or enormous depending on when he said it or learning from mistakes ie the same ones over and over again) . So over to you then, Mark.

04 Feb 2017 11:59:01
what if he makes one change and we win?

04 Feb 2017 16:02:56
How many changes did he actually make today? Just one or was it 2 or 3?

05 Feb 2017 16:51:18
Two of yesterday's changes, (Halliday and Kiernan), were 100% correct and there was a marked improvement, especially in that second half. The other change was a flop since Garner failed to score despite the number of opportunities that were made. Just look at the corner count alone. A clinical striker would have scored two or three and we would have won at a canter.

I have to say that Windass would also have made a difference coming off the bench but why was he sacrificed for Halliday?

03 Feb 2017 17:39:19
Through my source in Qatar, frank de boer is top target at the end of the season, but McLeish and Alex Rae are in until the end of the season

Also Dick Advocaat has been approached by someone on the board on advice on this. Scouts, Murray Park etc, transfer policy.

03 Feb 2017 18:11:23
top man yourself, where are you getting all this info from, methinks its just wishful thinking on your part, never mind keep daydreaming one day it will all come true

03 Feb 2017 19:08:19
See if they hierarchy of our football club need to go and ask a former manager about transfer policies and scouting networks, i think we're already fooked.

The manager not knowing what he's doing just now is bad enough, i hope to god the board aren't in the same boat

03 Feb 2017 19:25:04
I don't know if it would ever happen but I always thought gattuso would do well for us not a great track record in management but I have a feeling he would feel at home with us just a thought

03 Feb 2017 19:51:02
Advocaats advice - spend 100mill

03 Feb 2017 20:16:50
Mcliesh would sort out our defence Hodson should start and young Bates given a chance at CB wae Hill or Senderos and does anyone else think Wilson would be a good choice for holding midfielder he is calm on the ball and can spot a pass

03 Feb 2017 20:42:49
The names being rumoured are either ex players or managers of Rangers - just waiting for Stuart McCall as the next one to be linked with us.
Mind top managers demand huge salaries and as a club we need massive investment for this to happen.

03 Feb 2017 21:03:48
Still doesn't top TOMUSA wanting souness back at the club in some form with John terry player manager, brilliant.

03 Feb 2017 21:20:37
I'd try Kiernan at DM. Je constantly gets drawn out wide to the ball. Not such a bad thing for a DM. I'd never give him another minute at CB though. We really need a new CB and DM but we can't solve that until summer. Totally agree Bates should be given a shot πŸ‘.

03 Feb 2017 22:17:01
Bears. We've known since near enough the beginning of the season that 2nd was our goal whether we thought we would be a fair bit ahead of 3rd or we would be in a battle for it, I and most prob thought the prior. But we all then knew that we were going to drop points this season. I like Warbs and have supported him BUT its his team selection and formations that frustrate me. We do not have the money to throw around paying off a manager to bring in a mediocre one. Warbs will be here till end of season and if we finish 2nd which I think we will King must giv him some decent cash for transfers BUT I've got a feelin King has lost faith. We can only wait and see but I do not know who to bring in. If only Warbs would listen to supporters regarding players formation and even sub decisions which really are beyond me sometimes. We ALL loved Warbs and it hurts the way the relationship is goin. King must talk to us at end of season also think season tickets will be going up by Β£50 minimum!

04 Feb 2017 00:00:15
Told you months ago King is disenchanted with Warburton and has already decided he goes at the end of the season.
I'd sack him now!
King and Co have put Β£20 million in thus far and Warburton has had 4 times the budget available at Pittodrie or Tynecastle to work with.
He is a failure!

04 Feb 2017 03:27:23
We all care passionately about our team. When we get beat (or pumped) it's rubbish. Time for a moment of clarity. we are still 2nd in the league, European football in sight and still in the Scottish cup. Every team gets beat and I know it's the manner in which we lost is unacceptable but I'm hoping that it will reinvigorate our push for 2nd as it did last time.
Will MW be manager next season? Who knows. We can't afford to sack him and I (gonna get slaughtered for this) don't want another manager for 2 months.
Like any business a football club needs money to survive and we ain't got much. I'm so happy my teams still around to support so I thank our current board for that.
Oh, spare me the old chestnut of the playing staff budget. It is the second highest but who's second highest in the league? And, if it wasn't there would be just as many questions asked.

04 Feb 2017 03:28:43
Really Andy? I thought you guys were going for 55, sure I seen the banners? On another positive note only 4 more victories and a draw and you have done it. Remarkable.

04 Feb 2017 09:08:32
Rickwitteriksen

My reference to Stuart McCall was to highlight how ridiculous these rumours are with names of new managers linked to usπŸ‘

03 Feb 2017 16:58:25
King will approach Rafa Benitez of Newcastle. Rangers have many admirers in the football world despite the financial fight we are involved in. There's whispers from a close friend that in any changes to the management team will not result in Frank McParland leaving and result in his close friend being appointed as manager.

people are mentioning Davies, McLeish and so on , but these guys have no chance of getting the job.

Next manager is coming from England or Germany

03 Feb 2017 17:17:30
Benitez πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ heard it all now

03 Feb 2017 17:32:35
why would rafa come to us?

03 Feb 2017 17:45:34
Why did advocaat, PLG, Warbs, McCliesh, Walter, Souness come to us?

No reason why Rafa wouldn't. like i say we have many admirers.

and Rafa, and i'm told Rangers have someone from Germany willing to take over and nope it's not felix magath current stake holder.

03 Feb 2017 18:21:43
Lol, your told? Nobody told you that.

03 Feb 2017 19:09:55
Why would leave a club that gets 55000 at every home game, that's going straight back to a league where they are guaranteed about 150 million, to come and manage us currently?

Rafa could probably buy us.

03 Feb 2017 19:35:43
Is it more worrying that this guy dreams this stuff up or that he is so gullible that he believes someone else, who is telling him this nonsense.

03 Feb 2017 20:46:24
ForzaRFC

Time to take a reality check as no top managers would come to Rangers unless there was massive investment.
Also top managers want to manage in the EPL.

03 Feb 2017 21:05:24
The sad reality is that we love and care for this club and we think that everyone in football would want to come here but in all honesty they don't care money talks if they can go to clubs anywhere in the world it ain't going to be in Scotland with no money to spend and fans that will want blood and give him the blame for there being no cash in our game and club and no player of good calibre wanting to ply his trade here, I'm sure they will be dying to come

03 Feb 2017 21:42:35
Honestly guys, you need to stay off the Buckie- Rafa. Jeez!

04 Feb 2017 03:31:56
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Will just leave this here, comedy gold.

05 Feb 2017 17:04:36
Forza, Souness and Walter came together as part of a strategy proposed by David Holmes who was then running the Club for Lawrence Marlborough.

Both Souness and Walter Smith were Rangers supporters. They were given serious backing in the transfer market to bring in tip quality players. At the time when Advocaat arrived the Club had significant credibility as a major player in Europe and Murray was still conning people that he was using his own money and offering more or less an open cheque book for transfers. Macleish knew he was inheriting a quality team and Smith, when he returned was given Β£10m

Our stock is not exactly very high right now with a team of misfits, an absentee landlord Chairman that has shown no indication of investing the art of money needed to turn things round, and no apparent plan to take the club forward.

Add to that the ongoing battle with Ashley and Sports Direct and the dubious contracts that were cleverly finalised by his cronies, the need for a new shirt manufacturer controlled by the Club, a new shirt sponsor and income from shirt sales and you see how difficult it would be to secure the services of a top quality manager along with an assistant that compliments the managers style.

One of the problems that I see right now is that Weir brings nothing. Our defence is poor, yet I would have expected him to provide quality coaching. As an exRangers man I would have expected him to instil into the players what it means to play for our club. He has failed on both counts.

03 Feb 2017 15:33:27
another website not only has MW and DW been held to account at board level but also FMcP. and I quote.

"In fact, director of football Frank McParland is also understood to have been questioned of late for some of the signings he's made on a big budget with meeting and cross-examination reportedly held at last week's board meeting. "

unquote.

03 Feb 2017 17:07:30
Good god people finally noticin Warburton's clueless should been gone after cup final defeat and specially 3loses to Celtic, I would luv David moyes in he would and is capable going toe to toe wiv Rodgers plus experience and no nonsence and he was gers fan growin up

03 Feb 2017 18:08:03
The fact he's done nothing since leaving everton and playing for celtic don't see that happening mate.

03 Feb 2017 20:47:32
Moyes has achieved very little since he left Everton.

03 Feb 2017 22:23:16
He's achieved being sacked twice and now he's Sunderland manager that are in a dog fight to avoid relegation u would trust him with money have u seen his Sunderland signing at least when warbs went for lescot he was thin.

03 Feb 2017 23:42:32
On the bright side of Moyes comes he will probably bring lescott with him πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

04 Feb 2017 20:13:59
Moyes achieved very little at Everton as well!

03 Feb 2017 09:48:54
Hearing that dave king has already made up his mind and that warburton and weir will not be in charge next season regardless of league position this season. King a d the board have begun drawing up a list of potential replacements for next season

03 Feb 2017 10:19:11
My taxi driver said the exact same thing.

03 Feb 2017 10:34:34
No point changing a manager if you are not going to seriously fund him with bigger budget

03 Feb 2017 11:03:32
Lampard has retired has no one met his dad at McDonald's and told reliably that he will be next manager lol. Seriously though warburton needs to go now so new management team can assess current squad and plan for next season, personally I would love the De Boers but to be honest I just want a manager who watches the game and who makes changes to personal and formation when required.

03 Feb 2017 11:14:07
Who would want the job with no money to spend?

03 Feb 2017 12:03:36
How much is it going to cost to replace them, and where is the money going to come from.

03 Feb 2017 12:18:05
Will people stop going on about having no money! No one from Rangers has actually said we have no money! We just spent money in the transfer window.

03 Feb 2017 12:30:43
Scotsscotish you are right. Warbuton and weir are away if next game at pitodrie and parkhead are defeats. De boer is top of the list and he has been approached, but I heard mcleish and Alex Rae til end of season that's why no new contracts are offered to McKay, Miller and hill

03 Feb 2017 12:49:11
scottscottish87, what do you need to happen - should DK put a huge banner across the pitch stating "Rangers FC loses Β£4m+ a year" That is to say, we already spend Β£4m a year more that we earn. to me that clearly states "we have no money"

Any money we spend over and above our income is provided by soft loans from friendly Directors and Shareholders

03 Feb 2017 13:29:59
No point changing a manager if u aren't going to fund him? Why? Just put up with shocking performance then? Just watch players going through the motions? Other than that other lot across the city there is no other club in scotland with cash to spend so why can't a manager come in and build a team of hard working players capable of delivering performance that we can be proud of! Ok without funding we won't match Celtic but that doesn't mean we should put up with dross week in week out

03 Feb 2017 14:08:27
We have no money to spend end off

03 Feb 2017 13:47:19
Scottscottish87, yeah you are right no one from the board has made a statement yet saying "we r skinto mate, looking at trading in Irn-bru bottles for some change"

Use your brain mate, we are skint. It's very simple to realise this.

03 Feb 2017 14:20:18
Need to stop the lampard talk as he would want multi millions to look good. Get a manager in that can work with what we've got and can add better players cheaply.

03 Feb 2017 16:08:06
Not for a minute am I saying we're going to god spend millions on players, nor am daft enough to think we are operating with profit, however to say we have NO money is far fetched. There will be a squad budget! My opinion is DK doesn't trust Warb, Weir an McP to spend whatever precious finance we do have

03 Feb 2017 16:08:06

03 Feb 2017 16:28:19
Why can't people get in there thick skulls you need to invest to get something back out. We need to invest in a title contender team yes it might take 2 year to do it might take 1 but as soon as we get the champions league we get the money back, our players become more valuable, we sell we buy. So stop saying we need to work with a 5 year plan we need instant return when and if we invest in team and manager. Champions league football pays itself for a football club

03 Feb 2017 16:51:00
I think i would make more sense for us to change manager as soon asap.
That way gives the new manager time to get settled in and find out if he wants to keep any of these players.

03 feb 2017 16:46:19
two words, 'billy davies'!

03 Feb 2017 16:55:54
Rangers will lose around Β£4 mill this year and if there is no european football next year they will lose at least the same amount again next season. If better players come in there are transfer fees, higher wages, more money for a new manager, infrastructure, better scouting etc. Rangers are going to need to rethink the entire business model. Its a busted flush

03 Feb 2017 17:12:48
thats what the guy down the chip shop said

{Ed033's Note - and he swears he's Elvis

03 Feb 2017 22:40:20
Not saying we're rolling in it but, if we have NO money how much are Hyndman and Toral being paid by Rangers? they must be on anything between 5-10k a week. Think we will get rid of around 5 players and those wages should be used on free transfers during summer.

Think we should BUY at least 2 decent players IF say we are given say 4million we must try and find a couple of gems on pre-contracts or get them in summer and there are good players available on frees just need to Paul decent wages

05 Feb 2017 02:56:42
Can anyone tell me what DeBoer prefers formation wise? What did he use mostly at last club?
Dunno who were going to bring in but for some reason I think it will be both DeBoers!
