we have just appointed scouting team with bomber brown coming back in.

30 Oct 2017 18:56:34
Great news that we now have a fully set up scouting network in the uk and abroad with some very experience people coming in who have worked at big clubs this will take a while to kick in but another good step taken by the board

30 Oct 2017 19:05:55
Someone has blocked unbelievable on geesadodothat's original post aha how can you not believe it when Mark Allen has announced it on the clubs website lmao

30 Oct 2017 20:18:32
Another step in the right direction now appoint Mcinnes

31 Oct 2017 08:25:44
Great news, yes get mcinnes.

31 Oct 2017 08:26:45
Yes, let's do all this hard work and attract quality people to the club to scout, plan, investigate, look after youth, look after logistics, identify players Europe-wide; then to oversee all of this, to be in charge of all this, let's appoint a manager that hardly any of the players we'd hope to attract have heard of, a parochial, mediocre man operating in one of Europe's poorest leagues and hope that ove the next 3 to 5 years he can steer us back to the big time. Good thinking.

31 Oct 2017 11:15:36
bigsam that's why it won't be a scottish manager

01 Nov 2017 06:44:01
If we don't appoint mcinnes it will go tits up again I guarantee it.

30 Oct 2017 14:56:48
Right guys heres a bit of conspiracy thinking. If pardew gets the job that would signal to me, mike ashley takeover. Pardew was ashleys yes man for years.

30 Oct 2017 15:33:34
Pardew was tied to Ashley and Newcastle for reasons other than football apparently

30 Oct 2017 16:31:22
I reckon once the Newcastle sale goes through Ashley would love a pop at getting in with us. Admitted himself he didn't have the finances to take Newcastle to Europe, for a much smaller outlay he could fund us to Europe and expand his Sport Direct brand. Just an opinion but the odds of it actually ever happening are obviously pretty wide

30 Oct 2017 16:33:26
When Pardew was at West Ham, he was doing a good job but he has a liking for the ladies and this was one of the reasons he left West Ham.
Lock up your daughters.

30 Oct 2017 17:24:37
Ashley ever buys gers it will all go sports direct stadium? sport direct sponsor? Yes we need investment etc but no thank you mr ashley he can stick his money you know were for i care .

If he does i give it 2 to 3 years and every fan will be wanting him out he just another who wants to line his own pockets yes they want to get a profit but still stick your cash were the sun don't shine

30 Oct 2017 17:28:18
An everyone who hated the fat man will welcome him with open arms.

30 Oct 2017 17:21:11
Just to clarify this isn't something I want to happen I detest the fat man.

31 Oct 2017 07:50:22
Not McInnes. He has acheived nothing. Two years ago when Daila was at the manky mob, any decent opposition would have won that title. Celtic were Shite, but Aberdeen were worse. Nae bottle. Nae hope.
Nae McInnes thanks.

31 Oct 2017 08:20:41
How many times are we going to go through this nonsense? Ashley = no, pardew = no.

31 Oct 2017 08:22:49
pardews problem with ashley was gambling the fat man had him like us on a rubbish contract paying him a pittance, lambiaas was also involved as well, pardew was lucky he got out when he did he owed them a right few quid so they mutually agreed to cancel the contract i think was 8 years, they wanted rid of pardew anyway as results were not going newcastles way and the fat man would not buy any players pardew wanted

01 Nov 2017 06:41:30
Liking for the ladies and the tables or maybe it was the ladies on the tables. Anyway slightly higher class than Billy boy.

30 Oct 2017 14:53:27
Derek McInnes interview on Sportscene yesterday. He was trying so hard to keep the grin off his face when asked about the Rangers job! A very near relative recently said he would not have came during all the turmoil, but would love the job at some point. of course he would, he is a dyed in the wool bluenose! Get him in, NOW!

30 Oct 2017 16:14:07
He's my preferred option.

30 Oct 2017 23:24:51
If McInnes is offered it then he will take it.

31 Oct 2017 08:30:03
Of course he will take it aberdeen are not a bad club but they will never be a dominant force regardless who manages them.

30 Oct 2017 09:26:09
Rangers holding talks with Alan Pardew and also Derek Mcinnes (Reported in various papers this morning) .

30 Oct 2017 09:48:06
It shldve happened 7 months ago because we didn't need a mass clear out and certainly not a foreign nobody. What we needed was to add quality and strength to the team and quicken the play up a wee bit and the arguments against mcinnes don't make any sense because that means that any good young Scottish manager who is managing a Scottish club can never manage Rangers or Celtic because of their performances against them for their current team which is all av heard since last Wednesday at pittodrie. They will have better finances and should ultimately have better players to compete against Celtic if they recruit well like they've done at their previous club to finish 2nd on a lower budget than us and if that isn't the sort of manager we should be looking for then am racking ma brains who we should go for!

30 Oct 2017 10:23:31
My choice would be to hang onto Murty and Johanson as first team coaches until the end of the season. Let Mark Allen do his job in setting up the scouting system, and bring back Walter Smith as the Manager (remember, Bayern Munich just brought back Jupp Henckyss and he is older than Walter) . We could not possibly get anyone in Scotland with any more gravitas than Walter, and his record and stature stands up to comparison with Brendan rogers. He would not cost the earth and would instill the right behaviour throughout our club. Its a no brainer if he would accept.

30 Oct 2017 11:17:49
Rick, what a load of dross. You seriously think we should've kept the majority of the players fromWarburton? You'd rather have Halliday than Jack, Keirnan than Alves, Garner than Morelos. Come on.

30 Oct 2017 12:05:01
Rick - is Alan Pardew not a "foreign nobody" as well?

30 Oct 2017 12:12:54
Although I don't agree with Rick I do think (in hindsight) that we were hasty in some moves.
Blue 89 you are clearly picking your battles. I don't think anyone would take Garner over Morelos but would you rather Garner or Herrera? What about Kept McKay over Dalcio?

Although can you imagine a front line of Garner and Morelos? Loads of goals and loads of cards! Ha.

30 Oct 2017 12:52:04
Seen a lot of folk saying we need a manager who takes no guff and gets stuck in about things so I've sent a message on the twitter to Ken Shamrock see if we can EBT him towards his coaching licence

30 Oct 2017 12:55:13
Blue89 you really never got what I was saying there and souness I'm still struggling to understand what Alan pardew has got to do with this! Bluegenius is sort of on the same wavelength. Look at our bench this season and you'll get what I mean.

30 Oct 2017 13:28:28
say what u want about pedro but alves candias and morelos are better players than we have had in many years herrera isn't quite tough enough but maybe could come good if pertnered with morelos side by side.

his tactics and strange subs during a match is what lost his games and ultimately his job

30 Oct 2017 14:52:06
Well said rick witter, why people want another experiment when the answer is on our door step is beyond me. Mcinnes is the answer and if we don't get him now you's will regret it.

30 Oct 2017 14:55:00
Let Walter Smith enjoy his retirement. He deserves it.

30 Oct 2017 14:57:28
Peds11 you still can't accept what has happened to pedro, maybe a name change for you soon.

30 Oct 2017 16:06:24
fod the prod i can see a name change soon yes lol any ideas

30 Oct 2017 17:24:10
Shaft1690 I agree, to get watty back would be amazing but let's say he won nothing, that would be blemish in his amazing record.

30 Oct 2017 09:19:58
Billy Davies will be the next manager. McInnes is better waiting for a better opportunity. Davies wants the job and is a bluenose.

30 Oct 2017 09:51:25
Nice Profile pic pal

30 Oct 2017 09:54:53
Both are bluenoses davies not for me going with the post i would take pardew but there a few out there i would look at before mcinnes or davies . van bronckhurst . michael o neill . michael laudrup. kevin muscat done well back in aussie

30 Oct 2017 10:48:16
got to be mcinnes he will bring some consistancy to the team

30 Oct 2017 12:52:56
Davies aye right then fella think you're still hungover

30 Oct 2017 23:59:10
Should be Nilly Davies all day long

30 Oct 2017 09:06:51
We're really clutching at straws now guys if we want Murty in charge just because we beat a poor Hearts side. For example PC brought us a European Champion who could have easily gone and earned silly money in Quatar or China with no pressure on him, can Murty do that? We need someone with appeal and contacts.

30 Oct 2017 09:36:15
Can understand your point about Murty. I would promote him to first team coach if not assistant manager if the new boss is happy to work with him. The old pals contacts book style of recruitment doesn’t work though as Caixinha has just proved. Mark Allen is vital to setting up a proper scouting system where we find hidden gems and sell them on. No big club in the world recruits players just on the managers word and contacts anymore, we have only been doing it because of the aftermath of the Whyte/ Green mess.

30 Oct 2017 08:52:48
seems rangers will pay 1.5 mill comp to the sheep, they will be approached monday according to the papers seems a bit of a hurry hurry situation to me, personally i think it will all end in tears with mcinnes, quite happy with murty for the time being.

30 Oct 2017 10:36:02
One Word - Walter!

30 Oct 2017 13:38:28
How can you predict it all ending in tears with mcinness? He'd be the sensible choice if Walter Smith doesn't want it and with his recent record Surely the guy deserves a chance? Keeping the pace with the manks better than us with a budget nowhere near ours and he's extremely good in the transfer market. It's a no brainer to give him the job

30 Oct 2017 15:30:33
we'd be stupid not to pick Mcinness I think, He's finished 2nd the last few years with Aberdeen and gotten them to a few cup finals. I goes to show other managers aswell that you can still manage the big teams if you do your job well. I don't want pardew anywhere near us he's done nothing for me and can't shut up when he's in the wrong he was a puppet for Ashley.

30 Oct 2017 08:51:18
Just heard, it's definitely McInnes who is the board's first choice. This is from a senior member of the non-playing staff who reports straight to the directors. Not my choice by a million miles, but there it is.
