ramsdens cup 2nd round draw

falkirk vs rangers

Believable36 Unbelievable41

This is one game the rangers fans should boycott remembering falkirk and raith rovers turnbull hutton were kicking rangers when they were down corby loyal w.a.t.p

Agree2 Disagree1

Brechin 'kicked you when you were down' (in allyese) as well. A good name for your newco would be cliche wanderers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish mate im going to the game nothing is going to stop me following the rangers fc lets get behind the team

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with what this poster has written we must not forget what those at falkirk or at the above named hutton did to rangers w.a.t.p

Falkirk v Rangers in 2nd round of cup

Believable24 Unbelievable30

Stuffed.......we could hardly beat them with our last years spl team!

Agree1 Disagree3

Could be tough. Let's hope the team will have taken shape by then.

Agree0 Disagree0

And in whatway is this fact unbelievable ?

Agree0 Disagree2

Ha ha out at round 2 couldn't beat them with a full team

Agree1 Disagree1

That's Falkirk v newco, or perhaps The Rangers FC or new Rangers, but never Rangers. They're a former football club liquidated. {Ed039's Note - Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

Agree2 Disagree3

Why the hell are people clicking unbelievable we did get falkirk in the cup stupid idiots

Agree2 Disagree7

This stuff about rangers being called rangers is a red herring. They are rangers. Why call them anything else?

Agree0 Disagree0

What cup champions league, europa, scottish, league what other cup is there oh right get you now

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you will find that it IS Glasgow Rangers FC and they have STILL to be liquidated. The Rangers FC or any other name the newco receives will still be Rangers so run along pee wee.

Agree1 Disagree0

The Falkirk team is different this year too remember, full of young lads as well

Big rumour going round the work here that Garry Kenneth is one of McCoists nailed on targets. This rumour has been going about for a while, was never keen. However he'd do a job in the 3rd-1st division surely.
We need defenders if the current CBs go

Believable12 Unbelievable49

Gary Kenneth having a medical at Bristol city. Mark McGhee says its all a formality now.

Agree2 Disagree0

He signed for bristol rvrs (thank god)

Agree2 Disagree0

Goin and Boca were a nightmare yesterday we need centre backs full stop!

Agree1 Disagree0

In the last couple of hours or so 4 people have clicked "believable" despite the BBC Website carrying the story of him signing for Bristol Rovers. {Ed039's Note - I believe that deal is now pretty much done)

Agree0 Disagree2

Agreed terms on a 3year deal with Bristol rovers so doubt it !

Agree0 Disagree1

Not signing for newco Scotland {Ed039's Note - Who is newco Scotland?)

Agree0 Disagree0

He has signed for Bristol Rovers, Sky sports

Agree0 Disagree0

In a rough league a big bully is what we need!

Agree0 Disagree0

Many apologies EDs I may have stated Kenneth on his way to Blackburn rovers good grief , iv lost the power of reading, many apologies .

Agree0 Disagree0

Rob Jones, formerly of Hibs, just been released by Sheffield Wednesday. Would be a great signing at centre half IMO

Dean Shiels: Ready to snub a new deal at Kilmarnock and sign for Rangers

Rangers are close to completing deals for Dean Shiels and Greek midfielder Pantelis Kafes as they press on with their rebuilding programme.

Ally McCoist, who saw his side take in their first competitive game of the season on Sunday as they edged out Brechin in the Ramsdens Cup, has identified the pair as top targets.

Shiels spent last season in the SPL with Kilmarnock, under the guidance of his father Kenny Shiels.

He has also turned out in the top tier of Scottish football for Hibernian and spent three years in England with Doncaster Rovers.
Fresh terms

Killie were hoping to persuade the 27-year-old to pen a new deal with them, but he appears to be on his way to Ibrox.

Rangers will be turning out in the Scottish Third Division next season but have ambitious plans to make a quick-fire return to the big time.

Shiels could form part of their promotion push, with McCoist admitting that a deal to bring him to Glasgow is almost done.

The Gers, who will be free to register new players from Friday, are also hoping to wrap up a deal for Greece international Kafes before the end of the week.

McCoist said: "It's not over the line yet but I know in both cases there is certainly a deal to be done there.

"I've spoken to both players. They seem keen and we are very keen too so we'd be hopeful something could be done."

Believable24 Unbelievable29

Let's get the cheque book out Mr Green & give ALLY the funds he needs to get us through our road to recovery !w.a.t.p BIG BILL.

Agree0 Disagree1

Hi ed who do u think will join in us in the coming days {Ed039's Note - Kevin Kyle and dean shiels poss a centre half as well, I don't think there will be too many to be honest, the Greek guy as well but that one might be too much of a culture shock for him)

Agree0 Disagree0

If you want us to go bust again ASAP that's a great idea Big Bill.

Actually I hope you are a Celtic man in disguise cos bears have to be realistic in the current situation.

Agree1 Disagree1

When i say get the cheque book out ! i was meaning , to spend within our means.... i.e pay the goimg rate this time round . we need a good few players to replace the one's who left... and NO I'M NOT A CELTIC MAN IN DISGUISE ! BIG BILL...

Agree0 Disagree0

Rory Mcallister!! and Del Carcary impressive showing against us

Agree0 Disagree0

So, by meaning the going rate for Div 2 then at max £200-£300 per week? Yeah! You will get class players for that. Just face it, Chuckie will bury you AGAIN, eventually,

Agree0 Disagree0

At 27 he could end up finishing his playing days in the lower divisions. He shows a lack of ambition in my opinion!

Agree1 Disagree0

I didn't realise that young Shiels was blind in one eye ! remarkable he is even playing professionally, never heard of that before.

Does anyone know why Ross Perry wasn't in the squad yesterday? He transferred over to the newco, has he since left or perhaps injured? He would certainly have been better than Goian yesterday.

GovanFR

Believable27 Unbelievable19

He said on twiter before the match that he was injured and he is expected to be fit to face East Fife a week tuesday

Agree1 Disagree0

He was injured he will be looking at taking his place the big man didnt look interested at all i read in the evening times that boca has said he will consider staying

Agree1 Disagree1

We weren't allowed to play the players whe signed new contracts from the old co mate. Thats why there was a few of the youngsters weren't allowed on the bench and Little was a trialist
Dmrangers

Agree0 Disagree1

He was injured

Agree1 Disagree1

He's got an injury mate should be back for east fife

Agree1 Disagree0

He's injured.

Agree1 Disagree1

Goian didnt seem to be playing for a move thats for sure. CheltBlue

Agree1 Disagree1

He tweeted saying he got injured on friday in training but would be back for east fife. sebo23

Just wondering other bears thoughts on why boca Gera was chosen as captain ahead of big jig?? Only reason I can think of is because he plays at the back and can see the pitch in front of him.... What's your thoughts

Gary

Believable9 Unbelievable27

I think it was a disgrace big jig wasn't captain all a can think is boca seemed to b vice captain last year so if he wasn't captain may take the huff and want to leave

Agree0 Disagree1

Why is people clicking on unbelievable on this post I am askin for opinion nothing to believe or not.. Sigh

Gary

Agree0 Disagree2

Is he not the captain of the USA. Think he has captain quality and a captain should be from the defence(bar the goalie) or midfield.

Agree1 Disagree1

Whos big jig?

Agree0 Disagree3

I'd imagine 100+ caps and being his national team's captain was reason enough.

Agree0 Disagree1

Gary,he was vice-captain last season, and the captain has since left.McCulloch WAS announced as the new captain, but, however,Bocanegra had'nt signed on at that point.Plus he captain America.Hope this helps mate.

Agree0 Disagree1

Because he was the club vice captain after davis?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he woz captain because he aint going anywhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

My thoughts are by making him captain it may be another hurdle for him to consider jumping if he wants to quit though Davis never had any problems pole volting it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe because he captains his national side and is a born leader?

Agree0 Disagree0

Possibly staying now

Agree0 Disagree0

Has anyone thought that maybe ally has an eye on keeping him, and by making him club captain at least for the meantime might just give him that extra want to stay.... Or by being captain might add that extra few pounds on a price tag when he goes!

Agree0 Disagree0

I honestly didnt think that he had that great a game yesterday , and that he was maybe surprised to see the opposition , albeit from a lower league , were keen to close down a defensive player and not allow time on the ball . Mr McCulloch should be club captain in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

One of those who did not walk away should have been given the armband.

Wrong call in my opinion unless Boca has indicated that he is staying.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thnks was just wondering why, coz I knew McCulloch was announced as captain.. Cheers

Gary

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not....? Carlos is captain of the United States squad and a great leader... Granted big Lee would do a good job but Carlos would always be my pick.... I just hope he stays with us and continues to partner Goian....He was maybe a little off the pace yesterday but it's been difficult time for everyone associated with the club, they got the job done and will contiue to do so....... If Carlos stays that will be a tremendous result in my eyes.... Captain America.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought Goian was too casual on Sunday. In fact he had started to look like that mid-way through last season. he started off well but faded. I think Bocanegra would do a right good job if he stayed especially if one of the younger guys gets the other CB position. Ideal person to talk the younger defenders through the game

we are to get 3 unnamed newcastle youth team on loan till jan . pardew says will be good experiance for them b4 they are loaned to conference sides .

Believable9 Unbelievable56

He didn't even rate the SPL when foster played with celtic, so why would he rate 3rd division?

Agree2 Disagree0

Alan Pardew slammed the standard of football in the SPL last season when commenting on Fraser Forster, if that's the case why would he send his youngsters to Div 3 if he has such a low opinion of the SPL?
J1985

Agree2 Disagree0

Alan Pardew has never hidden his contempt for Scottish football, so I doubt it very much.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah and Oscar is coming up for experience from Chelsea.

Agree1 Disagree1

Lol it's funny how much the numpties from the ark side hate anything positive about rangers and can't wait to shoot it down

Agree0 Disagree0

Talk of a bid for Wallace from Stoke

Believable19 Unbelievable44

Not being funny,i think Hearts deserve to get him back.He would be missed though.

Agree0 Disagree4

Why should hearts get him back their debt I believe has been paid off or is in the process of being paid off and if not the debt died with the oldco so they deserve nothing.

Agree3 Disagree1

Agree hearts deserve him back we shouldn't have bought him if we couldn't afford him, plus don't want the lad missing out on Scotland caps if he's playing 3rd division football

not a rumour, just a thought. Francis jeffers? was rubbish at arsenal but decent at everton, played in the spl with motherwell, he got released by aussie team newcastle jets, and hes training with tranmere rovers, a mod-bottom table division 1 team. at 31, sure he would do a job for a few seasons, free agent and cheap wages (under 7k a week)
Thoughts?
Oh, any news on Kyle, Kenneth and Shiels?
WATP Stevemac

Believable10 Unbelievable101

You serious? didn't you see how he played for us first time round? wouldn't waste my time

Agree1 Disagree0

Lol , just peed masell , he already failed at Rangers on loan you numpty

Agree0 Disagree1

You on glue Steve , he already failed at the club lol

Agree0 Disagree1

Aye and he was a prolific scorer for us when he had a stint i'd rather have sebo back??

Agree1 Disagree1

He had his shot with us years ago. Failed miserably.
He just never showed like he wanted to be here.

Agree0 Disagree1

Played in the spl with motherwell ..you have obviously forgotten he played in the spl with your mob for six months.. and he couldn't hit a coo on the erse with a banjo .ffs . shamrock

Agree0 Disagree1

He played for us and was utter garbage

Agree0 Disagree1

He flopped at Rangers already,do you not remember The Fox in the Box!

Agree0 Disagree1

He's already played for use, and was rubbish then so why waste money on him again?? What a stupid post!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeffers played and flopped with us before.... flop in the box

Agree1 Disagree0

Do you not remember Jeffers played for us n he was kak. He's been rotten everywhere he's went

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol he played for us aswell, he was rotten

Agree0 Disagree0

He was rank the last time he played with us!

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot to mention he played for us and wash gash!

Agree0 Disagree0

Also played for us when big eck was manager

Agree0 Disagree0

He was mince when he played for us before, so dont think he'd be any better now he's a good bit older.

Agree0 Disagree0

The same Francis Jeffers that came on loan and was a complete flop?? I don't think so somehow

Agree0 Disagree0

Absoloute mince,he also played for rangers and i'm sure his goals return was ....erm....zero,the fox in the box resembled more like the fud in the mud
would rather have francis rossi from status quo

ian

Agree0 Disagree0

He played with us a few year back and was rotten

Agree0 Disagree0

7K a week is cheap ? What are you getting paid at MacDonalds ?

Agree0 Disagree1

Aye good one timmy

Agree1 Disagree0

He was crap the last time he played for us why on earth would we resign him

Agree0 Disagree0

He was paid by EBT the last time and done nothing.....

Agree0 Disagree1

I can not believe I am hearing £7K pw is cheap wages we have NO money, We need to tie up youth and aged for £1/£2k pw maybe darren Mackie?free the young brothers will do great job
