Heard from a few people today that Boyd will sign a pre contract to join Rangers in the summer anyone else heard anything and what do fellow bears think of this if it happens I for pne would welcome him back even if we could get a coupleof years outof him

Mr guidi on clyde 1 keeps banging on about how celtic should sign him! As if, he might not be everyones cup of tea but he is a true blue!

He was a good goal scorer b4 because he had good service from a good midfield. If he comes back he won't get the same quality service so he wouldn't be banging them in, He also never created anything for himself! Backward step I'd say, we should be looking at younger players!

I agree with above post in terms of trying to recruit promising young players instead of boyd, however kili don't exactly have an abundance of midfield talent to provide boydy yet he is still banging them in! Also noticed that kane hemmings scored again today for the beath, I don't think that boy was given much of a chance at rangers!

Doubt it - Ally and him don't get on - we don't need any more high earners until the PL

Kris Boyd has signed a pre contract with Rangers and will join at the end of the season.

Kenny Miller will also be joining us this month.

Need to get bodies out before any come in! Wont imagine boyd or miller will be difficult to negotiate!

This is a backwards move, we should have been using our time in the lower leagues to bring on the young boys and our new free transfers, I like them as players but don't see any good in them coming back.

Hi ed and all gers fans and a happy new year to all! Ed do you know if there's any truth to the kris boyd rumour about joining us in the summer as a free? And when does boyds contract run out with kilmarnock? I thought he signed a 6 months deal with killie in the summer 2013 therefore till january, I haven't been following the spl/spfl just going and following rangers, so could you tell me if boyd signed another contract extension with killie or if not then does that not make him a free agent now in this window? Lol a bit confused too much drink and turkey lol but your knowledge would be appreciated on this one please or any bear or killie fan that knows for sure, thanks. Alex 1972

{Ed039's Note - Alex, Boyd's contract expires with Kilmarnock on 30th June 2014 so he wont be available as a free agent until then. Kris would be interested in coming back to Rangers but it depends on what the finances are, who is leaving/staying etc and whether McCoist would play him)

Keep hearing people on here stating how we should be bringing through the young players! What young players?the young boys I've seen thus far will not be a solution long term cause they simply aren't good enough!

Hot off the Press. Gazza on his way back as well as Rangers build for the future. Is this for real, you are a gazillion points ahead in the league and you are bringing these 2 chancers back, tell you what your manager is certainly one for giving the youth a chance, just like his mentor.
