has anyone heard any update on the renaming of murray park one of my mates phone up to enquire and informed forms due out next month

I fear part of the deal between Murray & Green two days ago will include a guarantee from Green to keep the Murray name.
Just a guess but I am still very suspicious about the two of them coseying up to one another.

No doubt Cooper Park. Then again , somebody from the great unwashed will find out that Coops 2nd cousin once removed lived next door to a guy thats aunty was actually in the French Foreign Legion dressed as a guy who married her brother. Last bit actually sounds as if they come from Croy.

I have to say that I think that the people who are proposing the name "cooper park" are just being emotive.
I accept that what happened to Davie was a tragedy - but, he wasn't your ever best player.
Did you not choose John Greig at one time? Is that not why there is a statue to him outside Ibrox?
Why not "John Greig Park" or "Greig Park"?
I respectfully suggest that you name the training ground after a long term Rangers legend legend.

Gerry. Greig Park isn't a bad shot but as you mentioned yourself he already has been honored by the club with the statue. And Green, who at the time admitted he knew practically nothing about the history of Rangers, has always said it's only a choice between Coop & Moses McNeil.

He was told he had a budget and he spent it and we seen some wonderful players because of him, ie Numan, Van Bronckhort, Ronald de Boer. Lord Nimmo Smith, who is chairing the three-man commission investigating claims of dual contracts between 2000 and 2011, had issued a statement defending its independence from the SPL.
"Lord Nimmo Smith has said that Rangers FC is a recognisable entity which continued in existence notwithstanding the change in ownership,"
"He also stated that Rangers FC, the club, includes its owner and operator.
"The commission has in effect ruled that Rangers and its history did not die on 14 June, despite numerous reports to the contrary.
"This means that Rangers FC and its owner, i.e. CHARLES GREEN and his consortium, should have remained a member of the SPL even after the change of ownership.

Rangers FC's last and final owner did not sell the club/company, it was taken into administration and because of the lack of a strong CVA it was considered to be in the best interests of creditors to liquidated!

To the first responder.Cant you grasp that PLC is not liquidated yet and assets/club FC were bought over. Therefore as per the honorable Nimmo Smith stated we should still be in the SPL as this included SPL share, doesn't suit your agenda I suppose.
