Nigel Pearson next rangers manager, that's who we want and I think he will be interested.

28 Mar 2018 22:21:33
If you don't mind me asking daviegers, how do you know our directors want nigel pearson as the next rangers manager and how good is your info on this mate? I'm not doubting you mate, that's not my style! I'm always prepared to listen and hear what other bears are hearing! that's what makes these pages a total success! Sharing info with one another!

28 Mar 2018 23:30:02
Why? Because he's desperate for a proper job?

Really?

28 Mar 2018 23:34:51
Hope not, he's a total person.

29 Mar 2018 08:08:40
See mccoist says he thinks there will be clarity on the managers job before the celtic game if this is the case then there is only one man the job will go to that will be murty.

29 Mar 2018 08:32:04
In reply supercoop I believe graham potter should be our permanent manager not on any rolling contract I don't believe rolling cpntracts are the way we should go

29 Mar 2018 08:53:57
Craig 8688 I hope not we have lost 13 games at home this season and Murty has been in charge of 7 his record isn’t good enough yes he has improved us but let’s be honest that wouldn’t have been hard with the team Pedro left we need an experienced manager someone who will come in and kick Some arses someone who can bring in some top players assuming we can afford them but this team Murty has built is to soft we were ahead twice in old form game they were down to ten men we were at home but still lost it and his tactics didn’t help that day we need to find someone like Souness we were like we are now when he came in and he took no rubbish and sorted that dressing room out and the rest is in our history

29 Mar 2018 09:09:24
i totally agree we do look weak at home with murty in charge he has improved us like you say but the home record is awful and to many of these players go missing in games.
the fact murty can not see this and doesn't change tactics to change games around in our favour our take players out that do not play well.
would suggest to me he is not good enough at this moment in time to be our full time manager we need someone with some sort of experiance and that can attract a better standard of player.
If the club do apoint murty then i feel this is done from a financial point of view from the board looking to keep cost down.

29 Mar 2018 11:59:23
If there was to be an announcement then could it not also mean the board are pushing the boat out and going for someone who will galvanise the fans and players? Timing could be a shot in the arm if its a guy with a big reputation. Could make the rest of the season a bit awkward for Murty mind if he knows he is on the way out but if they did announce Murty as the man before the semi I can't help feel it would be mainly an underwhelming feeling amongst a lot of the support. Especially if we stumble across the line until the end of the season

29 Mar 2018 13:33:47
If mccoist is correct and there is some sort of announcement on the permanent rangers manager's job, before the celtic semi final, then just like craig8688 says graeme murty will be announced the new permanent manager! I still think that murty is the correct decision!

29 Mar 2018 13:55:04
Super I have not met a single Gers fan who does not like Murty, me included, but what is it that yourself and fellow pro Murty for permanent manager, see that I cannot? We all have our opinions on this and all with merit but for me he's been in charge of numerous games where the team on the park were good enough to win the game but somehow ended up losing. Murty should have a job at Ibrox for as long as he wants but, for me at least, not as first team manager.

29 Mar 2018 14:29:50
Lets have a poll Ed, ?

29 Mar 2018 14:51:04
OK Jyf, i'll tell you why i'd give graeme murty next season as rangers permanent manager! He has and will further grow into the job, with experience! Of course he's made mistakes but what manager hasn't, especially when they're starting out in management! Some experienced managers continually make mistakes! He knows the full structure of the way our football club wants to go, ie having our youth academy producing and bearing fruit and also working with a DOF, in this case mark allen! He most certainly had a good transfer window in january and i'm sure most bears would be honest enough to admit, that they were impressed with who murty and allen brought in! He most certainly has the players at our club, wanting to play for him! I just think he's a good coach and will become a really good manager and if this isn't with us, then without a doubt imho it will be with another football club! I hope its with us! I think given another couple of transfer windows as our permanent manager, murty will, again its only my opinion, improve our team and get us a lot closer to challenging celtic for the league title! If going by the recruitment in january there's undoubtedly a lot to be optimistic about, regarding murty and allen in the transfer market! To summarise this, i only see murty getting better and better because that's the type of guy he is! Don't like saying this but there's shades of the way neil lennon started his managerial career at celtic (ie. his 1st manager's job),
to the way graeme murty has started his managerial career at rangers (also his 1st managerial job)! Hope i've given you enough here JYF, to why i'd give murty a chance as the next permanent glasgow rangers manager! Incidentally murty will also improve tactically as he goes on in the job! Like i said earlier there, he's that type of manager/ head coach!

29 Mar 2018 15:52:21
We can all agree, Murty is a nice guy and has steadied the ship a bit, but that's where it should end. He is not ready to be the permanent manager of Rangers, especially of we lose the semi to that lot.

29 Mar 2018 16:59:55
I've MOST CERTAINLY not seen that the players want to play for murty. We continue to lose games that we should win, especially at ibrox. Murty a good coach? Maybes. A good manager? Not for me no

29 Mar 2018 17:24:02
I honestly don't know what you're watching blueberry when you're going to see the rangers! I'm not saying for a minute that its been all great rosy performances since murty took the manager reigns in October, but it's night and day between the players application, between caixinha and murty! I think its very noticeable the players want to do well for murty and i follow rangers everywhere my friend!

29 Mar 2018 17:52:30
its always going to come down to personal opinions in that one guys, its not really something you can measure. what i would say Coop my good man is using Pedro as the yardstick isn't really saying much! kind of like saying i would take a poke in the eye because its better than a kick in the nuts 😂

29 Mar 2018 17:54:29
We have a manager until end of season and his future will be dtermined by how the team performs in all remaining games. McCoist should keep his mouth shut.

29 Mar 2018 18:03:27
I think an ideal solution would be to appoint a quality manager who is a tactician and can make changes depending on the opponent and to get the best out of our squad and appoint Murty as his number 2 so he can continue to develop as a coach I do believe Warbs peds and even Murty biggest problem is they won’t mix things up to suit the opponent or where we r playing

29 Mar 2018 18:29:56
Supercoopereleven there is no doubting murty has improved us but why do a lot of our players go missing in games is this due to the standart of player or is it murty not motivating them enough.
If murty has managed to improve us since perdro than am sure someone with some eperiance and tactical knowledge could do even better.
As walter smith has said recently we need to up the quality of player that is in the first team to challenge celtic and a new manager could certainly do that

29 Mar 2018 19:06:09
Have we got better since Pedro left? Definitely. Do we look better going forward? Yes. But I'd expect that with any new manager. We are still getting beat far too many times. Especially at home. Murty must see this but our performances don't get any better (at home) . That's why I don't think he's the answer as manager

29 Mar 2018 19:14:33
Agree 100% blueberry

29 Mar 2018 20:19:06
OK blueberry who's your choice as the next permanent rangers manager? You must have someone in mind mate!

29 Mar 2018 21:27:31
De Boer, van bronkhorst, Silva? No idea if we could really afford any of them. I don't dislike murty but this season could have been so much better without some of those dodgy results.

29 Mar 2018 23:18:47
Silva would be excellent manager but he could be out of our range wage wise but club should definitely look at him
if not him then i would give try get gio on board or deboer. These names would give the fans a boost if they can be tempted

{Ed0333's Note - Silva? I highly doubt it mate.

29 Mar 2018 23:31:42
Murty isn’t the man to take us forward. I didn’t see much of the players playing for him at the Kilmarnock game and to lose so many games at home under him isn’t good enough. He is a good coach and should go back to coaching the u20s. Let’s be honest it wasn’t difficult to improve upon the disaster that was Pedro. Until we start beating them then we can’t really say the gap has been closed significantly

30 Mar 2018 07:56:18
Im sorry to say it but Murtys' record isn't much better than caxinahs'!

30 Mar 2018 20:29:21
Right we have this rubbish at home better away mentality so let's get down to the crux of it . We mostly play the same 11 away as we do at home so don't we all think as fans that maybe at home the fans are way more demanding than we are away? I go to both home and away games when work permits and find when we're away our fans are more inline with cheering and singing for 90mins whereas at home some fans ( and trust me I've had many a word with some sitting around my seat ) tend to get on the teams case if we're 20mins in and ain't scored? I as a season book holder for 22 yrs has seen the good, the bad and also the forgettable and just find that at Ibrox we add extra pressure to the team than the fans that travel . Just my opinion but I sit and shake my head at some comments and conversations around my seat!

31 Mar 2018 09:45:04
I agree that Murty doesn't have a brilliant record, and this season has been a frustration given who we've dropped points against. I still feel its down to what happens between now and end of season to whether Murty gets the job.

The team are playing better under him. Nearly all his signings have been successful and first team improvements.

Folks say he fails to change things or his tactics are limited. I don't quite see it. For me, the killy game he made the changes that I thought he could for example.

Problem he has is the strength of his bench. He only has imo 11 or 12 rangers players fit and available who pretty much play all the time because 1. They have to and 2. They've shown they can do it.

Some folks can make a case for holt adding this or that, but honestly, he's not got the quality needed ultimately.

I feel only now, with dorrans, rossiter and mcrorie fit do we have proper options to change personnel and style with a level of quality. All 3 add much needed dig, and it'll be interesting to see how he utilises them. For me, this will be a true test of his tactical knowledge.

Hearing that a deal with under armour to be the new kit supplier to be announced by the end of April

28 Mar 2018 22:50:15
Again rangers1993, no reason to doubt you mate! How good do you rate your source mate? Is your source 100% confident that under armour will be our new kit manufacturers and that all will be announced in april?

28 Mar 2018 23:32:06
Based on what?
That's Adidas Under Armour and Puma all in 2 days

We need more than that?

31 Mar 2018 00:49:23
Silva is unattached to any club so you never know. He might see Gers as a project worth buying into.
