Rangers to sign gekas from frankfurt....will be in German newspaper bild tomorrow....

Agent#in#the#know

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Hope this is true

Agree0 Disagree0

What position does he play, how much is he?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its on twitter...striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Gekas is a greek striker playing for Frankfurt, he is 31 though but has a decent goal to game ratio.

Hey Ed, how you doing? I made a wee comment earlier and it was to do about our striker situation I thought Jamie Murphy could be good for us but iv'e always admired Johnny Russell from Scum DUTD. After watching him on the highlights (and i know they are just highlights) i reckon he could bring something to our forward line right now. What do you think? I reckon he's a talented player. I think both guys could do a job for us?

We should buy chris humprey*spelling* as he would add the pace to team and he also isnt scared of taking defenders or scared of the back of the net.

Micheal Chopra would be a cheap striker

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Chopra just moved to ip5sw1ch

Agree0 Disagree0

Humphrey was in Wallace's back pocket last week

Rangers are preparing to offload Maurice Edu, Kirk Broadfoot, James Beattie and captain David Weir. (Mail on Sunday)

If that is true then, we signed Edu for £2.6 million, Beattie for £1.25 million.
Weir and Broadfoot were both frees, but i guess Weir is worth about £200k and Broadfoot £500k

I can't see anyone buying Weir at his age so that would leave a total of £4.35 million. Considering that Edu and Beattie's values will have dropped since they signed, that would leave roughly and income of £4 million.

£4 million is enough for another big name signing like Jelavic. Sell 3 unwanted players and bring in one class one, i reckon that would be a good bit of business.

Believable8 Unbelievable9

Never get £4m for this lot

Agree0 Disagree0

Edu - 7000k
beattie - 300-500k
weir - free
broadfoot - 500k

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with reply's, no way will we get money for Weir, or Beattie £500k for Edu maximum

Agree0 Disagree0

You'll get 1.5 mill to 2 mill for all of them put together. Tops. Personally I reckon we're stuck with Edu. You'd have to be a maniac to like what you see from that guy. I doubt he'd even cope to make the grade at English League 1 level let alone Championship/Mid to low level Premiership. If there was ever any remote potential it's gone without trace and if he does a Charlie Adam and moves away and becomes a decent player then fair play but we cannot carry him any longer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only one that would get cash for is edu and about 1-2million max.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lucky to get £1.5m mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know how good the source is but heard Davis is heading to Blackburn for £4million. Deal apparently done and will be revealed on Mon/Tues. Can't imagine this would be the case as only benefit of going there is a)more cash, b) playing against better teams. Blackburn will be a Championship team next year. If Davis or any of best players leave i will be asking for full refund to the two season tickets i have. Mr Whyte come clean, if you have cash then use it, if you don't, and i expect you don't have as much as most fans think, get out now and leave our club alone.

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Would take at lest 9 -10 million to sign him mate he signed a 5 year deal for feck sake 4 millions a mince tag on a player of his quality

Agree0 Disagree0

Davis signed a new 4 year contract so thats not happening

Agree0 Disagree0

I'v heard that 1 too mate - hope it is not true - but every player has his price

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 22:24:52
i think ricky foster, david templeton, jamie murphy, tom hately and jamie murphy would be gd signings

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Jamie murphy twice dont think that is good business.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please,no more mince.
1-2 quality players.
BR

Agree0 Disagree0

Respect your views m8 but i would only agree with ricky foster, looks a good composed player now. for stiker i would say young johnny russel from dundee utd, played well on saturday.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhyss murphy i meant lol

Agree0 Disagree0

A wuld take humphrey instead of hately or murphy but johnny russel , templeton an the guy Stevenson from hearts isn't bad either

Agree0 Disagree0

There's only 2 jamie murphy's

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with foster. Captain of his club at a young age shows he is matured - much like barry ferguson - and he can play anywhere on the left side of the field.

A wee rumour I heard today on the way back from the game against the sheep... Jim Jeffries to be brought instead some capacity, not sure where, but just putting it out there?? Personally I think it would be a good idea Opinions plz .

Believable3 Unbelievable12

A dnt understand wot u mean bud, can u explain more detailed plz ?

Agree0 Disagree0

You been drinking with Jim Jeffries?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 22:16:09
Peepo on here sayin we need strikers we don't we need sum1 tht holds the ball higher up the park every midfielder we had on turned back wen in possession in our own half, maybe the training ground methods r not up to scratch but it was a poor performance today we shuld build our team around Hutton and sign templeton

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Hutton hasn't got it. Ness is a terrific player if he can steer clear of inmjury and a better bet. Could do worse than take Joe Cole on loan, worth a ount even tho wages would be high

celtic agree fee for mo bangura for 2.5 million. 65 Goals in 104 games for club and country so lets not be having your patter about him being rotten anyway, better ratio than jellyfish. Celtic net spend would be 3.5million and rangers just 1.5million after bougy and adam cash. Where is whyte's 5, 10 or 15 million pound for transfers bears eh? You need to get those banners out about whyte putting money where his mouth is lol.

Believable7 Unbelievable9

The last 3 seasons have proven that we don't need to spend big to beat Celtic to the title :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Stick to ur own pish team and leave the CHAMPIONS to us... WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree mate but we did spend 4 mil last year.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 in 30 for AIK and 3 for Sierra Leone. Yet again Septic making a traget out to be the next Pele.
18 in 28 for Jelavic. I'm no genius but that would appear that he has the better ratio.

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith had a greater net spend than any celtic manager in the last 3 years so your point is invalid. Fact is you have a new owner and were promised 5-15million net spend and you have only had 1.5 max with 2 days left of window.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree 100% with him, whyte has let us down on the transfer front

Agree0 Disagree0

Wallace - 1.5 million
Goian - 500k
Ortiz - 500k
Bedoya - 500k (out of contract with obrero in jan)
Bocanegra 500k
Bartley - 1million for year loan
McKay - 800k

Rangers spent over 5 million ya giro collecter.....also we kept our best players that are miles better than anything celtic have got, why dont you worry about your own team, your defence is a riot and only midfielder that knowes how to pass a ball is Kayal, who blatenley wants to leave, Hooper is the only half decent player in your squad, we have the same team basically with 7 new signings, all international quality players, and i think there will be 1 or 2 more....

i think the title will be a walk in the park.

to all the rumours about billy davies coming in as manager ..well it looks like he might get bristol city job so that knocks that on the head

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Who in their right f***in mind would want him anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 20:23:58
Its simple, we need a STRIKER Someone fast and skillful who can help Jelavic out or play capably and comfortably without Jelavic Splash the cash and bring someone decent in or this could be a looooong season. Any realistic ideas who we could sign?

Believable10 Unbelievable3

We need a centre half in as well that can last 90 mins.
Once the prem squads are finalised im sure we will get a striker & centre haf in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree I hate watching football with 1 striker and 451 at home simply not good enough and will not attract fans to pay money to watch crap defensive football.

Agree0 Disagree0

The english teams do not need to put in squad lists until Septmeber 1st. Bit late for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm possibly could have offered the correct money for Goodwillie or Miller instead of kidding on with 50p a week payments . Just a thought

Agree0 Disagree0

I was at the game today, and in reply to guy that said we played 451, that was only in last 20 minutes or so. Lafferty and Jelavic were upfront as a two, so was 442 for most of game. We were really poor though I must say Edu was our best outfield player, Davis showboats too much and holds ball to long when were on the counter attack

Agree0 Disagree0

The English teams will need to have at least a draft of it and be possibly trying to offload so they can add before the window closes. This may mean something for us, it may not.

who thinks ally cant change a game when its not working
he stands their with his arms foulded not got a clue

Believable13 Unbelievable9

I would just say he doesnt have the squad to do anything, hardly his fault

Aj

Agree0 Disagree0

He's gambling in not having to make any changes unless were well ahead then he will give others a run out, if Aberdeen had scored and it could of happened if not for Mcg what would he have done to turn the game around.

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree.

We don't have any players that can change a game on the bench. That's why he isn't using all subs or changing the game/formation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who thinks ally cant change a game when its not working
he stands their with his arms foulded not got a clue

he started with a 4-4-2 today, when it was clear the sheep were dominating the midfield he went 4-5-1 and we started to play slightly better so i think its u that doesnt have a clue

Agree0 Disagree0

What is he meant to do,the team have been one dimensional for 4 seasons and hasnt put his own stamp on the team,if we have a bit of faith that he can get it right and not panic like the darkside then mabye we wouldnt have posts like this,IMHO i would drop edu and play hutton to let davis play a bit further forward as i think hutton has the ability to hold, even jamie ness in there with him and drop ortiz and edu to play with naismith-davis-wylde with jelavic up front 4-2-3-1.Plenty other bears will disagree but thats why we love the game, just get off the managers back 1

Agree0 Disagree0

Get rid of Ally and bring in Davie Moyes

Agree0 Disagree0

Davie Moyes? He's came out and said his dream is to manage Celtic 1 day

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does he sit in the stand instead of the dugout, he doesnt have to copy everything smith done

Agree0 Disagree0

Management is not an easy role and ally would have been better cutting his teeth with a few wee teams first. Walter S mith was an exception and I still dont know why he wanted to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 19:28:46
Heard from an ibrox insider that davis, mcculloch and naismith have went to ally and asked for jelavic to be sold, apparently he has became a disruptive influence in the dressing room, but instead of clubs flocking to us "we" are actually trying to get a team to take him, believe it or not but there was a square up at murray park on saturday which had to be broken up,leaving the ranks a bit disjointed.

Believable9 Unbelievable20

I can understand jelavic being angry nothing more frustrating when your a striker who is getting such poor service, yes he's not been great recently but do you expect him to come back into midfield and set himself up with oppertunities.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if this is the case please let the manager sort out the trouble. You can't have players dictating who and when players should be sold. The cynic in me says that this may be charade to sell one of our most valuable assets It may be better selling the three that are allegedly proposing such a move

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter BS why lie ??

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol declan, plenty of fights happen at training, look no further than john hartson booting berkovic on the jaw but davis and jelavic looked quite happy to celebrate together today when jelavic set davis up to score

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would the players be at Murray Park on a Saturday night? Nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is obv beng dirsuptive look at him on the park no passon or desire from him

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic is not a target man, most of his goals come from dropping deep so mabye the problem is playing him up front.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha every team train the day before there game to go through tactics N*NCE

Agree0 Disagree0

Think this is a celtic fan posting as a gers fan trying to cause a bit of hassle, 3 IAR top of the league...

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the 1st reply plus jelas more valueable than davis and mcculloch who hav underperformed imo tht midfield needs a boot up the a**e after aberdeen dominated the possesion n bullyed them

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not a celtic fan,im a true bear and every time rangers play they meet up at murray park to discuss tactics, look at dwight yorke and andy cole, hated each other(still do) but always celebrated on the park, its called professionalism, unlike some of the numptys that post on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

We havent really been linked with anyone recently this site seems to have become more for people who want to winge and moan about the team or people who make up s**t rumours about signings which arent fooling any of us - I mean I've heard Peter Crouch or Federico Macheda on loan - Get a grip people.

So does anyone know of anything in the papers or any players whom we are definately linked with, without reminding me of how we will 'never sign anyone' now that we are out of Europe.

??????

Believable5 Unbelievable9

We are currently linked with nobody at the moment...Ally's very own words on his interview after the game today

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally said on a bbc sport interview after the game that nothing is happening with regards to bringing players in but may bring in more signings before 11pm on wednesday. He also said he is 'absolutely not' under any pressure to sell players. Muzz

Someone mentioned Bangura of AIK Stockholm he is tipped to arrive at septic for medical early next week for around 2.5m .
Larsson recommended him.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Ahah 94 apearances ... 11 goals great

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers should be making a move for him

Agree0 Disagree0

He was meant to be going to Newcastle, only he couldn't get a visa apparently......

Agree0 Disagree0

What drugs you on 94 apearances and 11 goals, you have'nt done your homework there silly boy. he has scored well over 50 goals and 11 last season in itself. blackburn and newcastle heavily linked and Man Utd and liverpool rumoured to have scouted him. 2.5 million agreed fee that takes our net spending to 3.5 million, while whyte has a net spend of 1.5million due to bougy and adam money

Agree0 Disagree0

To reaffirm my earlier point its 65 goals in 104 games for clubs and country so get it right up you. That more than beats jellyfish.

Agree0 Disagree0

One decent season at the top level, most of these goals scored at low level swedish. Anyone can say that these teams are interested in him. but heres ome news for you timmy, no decent players come to scottish football.

according to you, lennon's turned some of your players into multi million pound targets. Still diidnt win you the league and because they play in the spl no ones going to shell out these figures

Agree0 Disagree0

Teams shelled out 9 million for mcGeady and hutton so your point is rubbish there. No decent players sign for scottish clubs, so you admit jellyfish is average to poor then? thought he was world class? Also to say the swedish league is poor then to slate the spl makes your main point hypocritical. Scores lots in sweden but wouldnt in spl??

Agree0 Disagree0

Btw remember most of larssons goals came in swedish lower divsions before he finally made it big at celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:25:46
fleck has had years raveged wth injuries and has never had a run in the team giving some game he would be fantastic plyed at youth level with him he is great.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Just like a lot of scottish youth players. Great until their heads get too big. Cant make the step up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big head.happened 2 alot of good players

Agree0 Disagree0

He should do what Adams did go out on loan gets games under your belt then come back and challenge to get into the first team

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:17:52
How did Bodeya play when he came on.? Never seen the game

Pauly D

Believable9 Unbelievable7

He was quite involved, he didn't shy away. Seen quite alot of the ball had a couple shots and that. Hope that helps buddy. RFC#1

Agree0 Disagree0

Looked average but no time to do anything really, time will tell gotta be better than edu tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't get the supply he needed in the short time he was on but had one good chance from a pass from Davis and his shot went wide, he looked sharp though and quite pacey

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh i dont really know what type of player he is, is he a cm, am, winger ? can any1 shed a bit of light ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Plenty of stamina by the looks of things - though he was on for the last 15 minutes and both us and aberdeen looked tired so that could explain it. I'll agree with what the rest have said too.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's revealed he was battling illness in order to get on, he seemed to play not bad but will take a wee bit of time to bed in i'd think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Better than edu though? who ever said that needs a kick in the teeth. edu was pretty awesome today. involved in most plays. someone clearly just raging for no reason. get a grip. edu clearly isnt popular for some other reason as when he performs he still gets stick.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:11:47
Ally McCoist says Rangers are no where near the level he knows and expects. He rated the season so far as a 4.5/10 in saying that we've had some very tricky matches and came out with all 3 points, we're top of the league. Aberdeen were bossing the midfield which was worrying so Ally put Edu as a holding midfielder then Aberdeen had no joy after that. He's starting to make me feel much more confident of having him as manager. WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Aberdeen were bossing the midfield and your happy with him as manager. you don't have a clue pal

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 18:06:39
we need to get rid of Edu and Broadband who aren't good enough and John Fleck who hasn't progressed one bit since breaking into the team as a 15-16 year old.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Fleck hasnt had enough minutes i still think he could be quality

Agree0 Disagree0

Broadfoot is the worst player ever to put on a gers top he is terrible. really really really really bad. edu just needs a break.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was at the game 2day bigfoot had a good egame

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Broadband was a new, fast and reliable.........Im sticking with Clubfoot.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about McCulloch? Is he good enough or is it that you, like others, are jumping all over Edu - dont get me wrong he is not having the best of times - to try and cover up others inadequencies. MCCULLOCH

What was the injury Goian suffered ed anyone know if its serious or what?

Believable4 Unbelievable1

MCcoist said we will find out more tomorrow but he said Goian had jarred his knee, hopefully hes ok

Agree0 Disagree0

From where i was sitting it looked like the big man wanted back on and looked surprised that ally had subbed him which can only be a good sign hopefully.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was going out and had to get a shower before the rest of them

What does everyone think about jelavic fir yak from everton? It would do me, good strong goalscorer

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Utter rubbish. U know nothing about football. Yakubu is fat and slow, why would we want him??

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are you trying to punt Jelavic?

Agree0 Disagree0

Naw.no thanks.never.bye.

Just to clarify a point made in an earlier post, the reason for Lafferty's poor start to this season, is he has had 3 training days since Rangers returned for pre season due to his stomach injury in Germany. He shouldn't be playing just now but was rushed back for the motherwell game and that has taken its toll on his legs.

The early exit from Europe might in the long run be a good thing as with the injuries that we are collecting we would be lucky to get a team together for next week never mind europe.

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Well what is the reason for his poor performances in the last 2 seasons?

Agree0 Disagree0

What about the last 2 seasons?he is absolute gash

Agree0 Disagree0

Lafferty had a lucky spell towards the end of the season he is an average player never ever ever a rangers player love the big guy for his rangers die hardness but not close to good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Get the blinkers off we are rubbish, super sally hasnt got the dressing room

Believable13 Unbelievable10

Oh behave, some of you guys need a reality check, top of the league, only lost one goal,ok,its not like watching brazil, its early days, still bedding in some new players,so,lets ease off.always a bear.

Agree0 Disagree0

I expect the Celtic fans calling Ally (super Sally ) but not our own. Go back to your own page and discuss your own teams state of affairs

Agree0 Disagree0

U think Arsenal won't sack Wenger for failing, early days but change may be the way forwrad

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont believe this was written by a Rangers fan. No Rangers fan would call Ally Sally as it is disrespectful to the legand that he is. He might not of had the greatest start but things may come good. Lets see what support is given to him by the owner.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sally is top of the league, lemmon is not. early days but both teams played bad and won 2 nil. terrible spl standard defending handed rangers and celtic wins today but after both getting early goals didnt seem to grow in confidence. i only seen the celtic game on sky and st mirren got through their defence easy but couldnt finish and at one point were 9-2 up in corners. rangers new players will take time to settle and aberdeen must have got a boost when they seen whittaker, perry, broadfoot and new boy bocanegra thrown together. that celtic team has peaked and majstorovic aint getting any better and i just cant get enough of watching him.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 16:48:05
Sitting back is a dangerous game. Is Ally that confident in our defenders? Attack. They can't score from their own end.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

You seen how Man Utd do business, no mercy and am not keen on them but hats off

supported gers for 40 yrs thru
think and thin anyone who cant see

how bad we are and gonny be this
year are kidding themselves on

Believable12 Unbelievable6

Allys just starting his building gee him a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Starting building wake up man

Agree0 Disagree0

Did u give up that easy before in the 40 years or has 3 in a row wae nae dough went to yer heed. just to inform you all the other teams in the league are rotten and that why we have 4 wins and a draw so far. I watched a St mirren team gift celtic 2 early goals and i thought to myself this is gonnae be a rout but it wasnt and st mirren outplayed them after that and should have had 2 or 3 cos Celtic are rotten as well. Majstorovic is dire and Wilson doesnt look much better. Dont throw in the towel when we are top of the league for gods sake. Are Rangers fans fed up with winning cos the Celtic fans cant get enough of winning only 1 cup in 3 years against a skint Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

This got nothing to do with how bad cetic are ya clown how very dare you say bout me giving up up - 40 years and countin - ive saw good and bad trust me this is bad

Agree0 Disagree0

I've supported rangers for over 40 years too, this is bad but aint the worst remember the greig era and wallace part 2. we would not have won that game today in either of these eras. we have injuries and players getting used to each other. we played well at motherwell. Also despite our defensive frailties we have lost a goal for over 400 minutes there is hope. how you be if we werent top of the league give it time

Agree0 Disagree0

Rash early season predictions. We were bad in Europe but remember we are top of the league, the way people are talking you would think we hadn't won a game all season. It's still very early, if we are consistently dropping points over the next couple of months I'll start to worry.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2011 16:25:06
What is it with Edu? He is playing really well today...why is he so inconsistent, if he played like this every week i'd be glad he was in our team. Broadfoot is struggling tho, cant wait for Papac to return.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

I think so far this season, many of the players have struggled. Jelavic is not on his game. Thank goodness for Davis and Naismith today.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just back from the game and was wondering if you watched the same one? Edu was gash again,ok he had a couple of shots at goal but they were not on target,as a whole the team performance was very poor and Aberdeen should have scored, once again Shagger keeping us in it

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, must have been watching a different game from the one i heard on radio cos everytime edu was mentioned he was setting up aberdeen chances and if he was any good aberdeen would have got hammered. aberdeen r that bad only hibs r stopping them from getting the bottom spot. i watched the celtic game on sky and thank god apart from st mirren handing them 2 gifts at the start they were rotten cos with our unsettled defence i am starting to worry about the game on the 18th. at least celtics defence is poor as well as st mirren missed a few great chances. the way the defences r playing the oldfirm game might be a cricket score. just think if the Man Utd or man c teams that played today had been up against that rangers defence today.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol a guy listening to the game on the radio thought edu was bad, how can you tell that?. Seriously the witch hunt for edu has to stop, how cam a guy get his confidence back if everybody is on his. case for every tackle or pass he does.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was at game and Edu was pure and utter pish

Agree0 Disagree0

Who posted this...... Stevie Wonder, Mr McGoo. Where were you sitting today to think Edu was playing well.....Paisley. Edu has never been a skillful player but he would run all day and break up play so we could afford to have him in the team. He was terrible today and has been the whole season. He wasn't the only one, Broadfoot is a shocker too. At the start of the season he satated "Play me or sell me"...... think Ally picked the wrong option. Neither Rangers class, infact not even Rangers reserve class. Sort it out Ally

i think we should try and get wilson on loan for cover as goin has now got a knock get shorts with injuries,a attacken middifield like ermamenko, and striker like yakubu from everton on loan 4 in a row

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Rangers dont want Wilson, thats why we bought Bocanerga. I am a freind of Wilson and he was desperate for a move back to us, and that is a fact.

bit of info my younger brother picked up from a close friend. this boy works with the press officer at fir park and said that rangers and wigan both had bids rejected for young boy murph but motherwell are now expecting a second improved bid for him in the coming days. first bid was a joke only £100,000.

Why dont u try edu upfront ally? It seems u will try anythin 2 keep the clown on the park

Believable8 Unbelievable5

I don't get it why does every 1 constantly blame edu for everything every mistake is a disaster I know he's not in great form at the moment but getting on his back at every opportunity isn't going to help the hecklers done the same with Adam if you look at the games played this year both lafferty and jelivic have made more glaring mistakes than edu but they get away with it get off his back and stop booing and slating him and his confidence will come back and the team will benifit from it steph

Team line-ups from Ibrox:
Rangers: McGregor, Broadfoot, Perry, Goian, Bocanegra, Edu, Davis, Naismith, Wylde, Jelavic, Lafferty. Subs: Alexander, Fleck, Healy, Whittaker, Juanma Ortiz, Bedoya, Kerkar

I would have dropped Jelly, moved Naismith up front with Laff and brought on Fleck.

Anyway - enough of that, sitting in work waiting for a big big win regardless of who plays....CMON RANGERS

Skysports to pull the plug on spl after this season.

Believable10 Unbelievable11

SPL's current TV rights deal with Sky Sports and ESPN runs until the end of the 2013/14 season, but the league has the option to terminate the contract at the end of next season.
Sky can't cancel the deal but the league can.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt surprise me tbh,and before the epl starts laughing, what if sky say when theyre contract is up oh,do you know what i think we will only give them half the amount as the last time?simply because there is no other competition to them,no other channels would ever bid for the rights

Agree0 Disagree0

You're joking on that one - Sky has their best ever viewing numbers for SPL last season for the old firm fun and games. Giving that up (especially at the low cost involved) just doesnt make sense. Poor performances in europe just weakens spl hand when trying to drive cost up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky won't pull out due to the europe results as they don't show any europa league games anyway and are only interested in the spl, which if you see yesterdays results there are plenty of goals to been seen.

Agree0 Disagree0

So whit maybe make this tv license worth buying then

Gers to sell broadfoot edu weir beattie what a bonus

Believable11 Unbelievable14

To sell...no... they want to flog asap but cant find any buyers.

Agree0 Disagree0

They will get about 100k for the lot.

they need to sell Davis, McGreggor, Naismith, Jelavic, if they want to recoup the lost money from failure to qualify for the CL
this is all Whytes fault, he should have spent the money he promised

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you are being a bit unfair to Davy Weir. He gave his all for us, and we miss his leadership at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all whytes fault for rangers losing to poor / average teams in europe?? The players we have should have beaten both these teams easily but did not, so its the players faults not Mr Whyte.
Spend spend spend - yes mate that will solve all our problems. Spending a measly £2 or 3 million is no gaurantee for success

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't know Whyte put his boots on and was out on the pitch when we lost. I'd agree if it was a loss to a half way decent team but we should have won both of our European play offs with the players we have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think weir should stay as coach but the rest yeah times up

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of crap..mind you beattie can walk out for me and If dave weir has coaching badges gers or everton why not been a good player good pro.Edu cost too much to give away and broadfoot is needed regardless of his critics who all sound like they are 10 year olds.

I think people need to stop complaining about a creative midfielder, that's why we bought McKay. He can pick out a pass from anywhere. With his passing ability, jelavic could be scoring 30 this season

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Jelevic might not be here by wed

Agree0 Disagree0

McKay is s**te.Bargain basement bollocks. Wake up. We have the worst midfield in spl. Edu and Ortiz are terrible, they wouldn't get a game for League 2 teams in England. Whyte spend some money on quality and support super Ally or GTF.

Blackburn ready to test our resolve and put a bid in for Davis before the deadline.

Believable13 Unbelievable7

NO CHANCE. Ur talkin at least £12m

Agree0 Disagree0

Does he want 2 be playing in the championship next season?

Agree0 Disagree0

New 5yr contract

Agree0 Disagree0

The 5 year contract is irrelevant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Davis ain't happy, he'll move.

Agree0 Disagree0

Blackburn are a better quality team than Rangers, I think we all know by know the gulf in class between SPL and Premiership, and to the guy that said does he want to play in the Championship, the Championship would kick the SPL's ass. Plus he would get better wages at Blackburn.

But guess what, this is bulls**t, and the person who posted this and anyone who thinks likewise, please punch yourself in the face as i can't.
Steve has Rangers FC in his blood, true blue through and through, like all of us Northern Irishmen money is irrelevant to him, he is living his dream right now and will end his career at Rangers. He is the only player who looks interested in playing football for Gers at the minute - so get tae f'ck with yer fairytales sayin he's leavin or he aint happy.

Watching match of the day what a mistake we ever did letting Charlie Adam leave

Believable16 Unbelievable8

I was living in Canada when I heard and knew straight awAy couldn't believe that's not the last well see o Charlie

Agree0 Disagree0

He was pretty rotten for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair play to the boy, he's done well but he was absolutely rank rotten with us... how many times he try the hollywood pass and it went straight out of play?

Then we shunt him out wide, where he looked even worse.... one that got away? Maybe. But he wasn't playing for us the way he's playing now, easy to forget that

Agree0 Disagree0

He was rotten because he only ever played in big games like europe , aberdeen and celtic. Also wasnt played through the middle

Agree0 Disagree0

He was far from rotten he was a brilliant player for us. He was the scapegoat for everything. He could have 5 good games in a row then his first bad game 50,000 fans booing him everytime he touched the ball. Made me absolutely sick to hear it and I hope he's having a good hard laugh at the fans that ruined his Rangers career.

Agree0 Disagree0

Charlie never really did get a chance with us but with good reason, he was really poor when he did play.

That said, Edu and co are playing pretty poorly, its just ashame they arent hooked and sold aswell.

Im happy for Adam, he has proved hes a great player and good on him, people need to stop looking at this though, its done.

Agree0 Disagree0

We didnt "let him leave" we ran him out of town

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee Charlie was kicked out of Ibrox with people who would not give him a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Charlie got the boot up the arse he needed, he was lazy at rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic fan here, Adams was hounded out by the fans of your club. At both our clubs fans who get on the young guys backs really need to have a look at themselves. Charlie in particular needed to feel loved and valued. when that happens look at the player perform.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ppl need to mind his goals. against them stuggart. his 2 free kicks against hibs 1 day wur amazing. got played on the left when he is a cm

Agree0 Disagree0

It amazes me how many fans have no clue in how to see that a player has talent, ability and could be an asset to the club. If he has no pace he's simply "rank rotten". It was clear to see Charlie had ability he showed it in every game in some way in the few games he was given. He has not changed as a player since going down south all that's happened is that he has more confidence. He doesn't hear his own fans screaming from the sidelines against him. No down south he is adored but in Scotland he is almost vindicated. A fat b*stard I'm steadily growing sick of the game hear in Scotland A large number of our fans are shameful, clueless and ignorant.

For anyone to say Charlie was psh for us is a moron, an observation by me made stronger by Charlies success. Who's laughing now? The clowns who slagged him off? The clowns who still say he's Pish despite his meteoric rise? No I don't think they are. It also would not surprise me to see Fleck be moved on in the same way, for us only to receive a pittance in return and watch him flourish to.

If I had some fans following me like some of ours do I would bail out in an instant

GDog.

Agree0 Disagree0

And rangers fans learn from this - the stick adam got by giving the same treatment to edu and ortiz.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur prob 1 of the 1s that wanted rid of him in the 1st place cause I cant remember 1 gers fan that wanted him when he was here

Agree0 Disagree0

Charlie was NEVER played in his position at Ibrox. He plays just off the strikers in a more CF role. Hes lazy & slow but has shown hes an eye for a pass and an Albertz-style Left Hammer

Agree0 Disagree0

Never got a proper chance, always going to be a legend, every version of Football Manager since 03 Charlie Adam goes on to be a great and he will.

Agree0 Disagree0

CHARLIE DIDNT PLAY AS WELL AS HE IS NOW FOR US BUT WE DONT KNOW what the manager was telling him he wanted from him, i wish any rangers player past and future all the very best like most true blues fans, these players have all done something fans can only dream off, pulling on that famous jersey so they were definetly better players than most of us who ever give them stick.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact that Fergie came out and said his dead ball ability is worth 10mil alone is enough to suggest most of you should stop talking pish He has not suddenly discovered he has a left foot. He has not just discovered how to shoot or take a corner. Those abilities have always been there.

GDog

Agree0 Disagree0

He was rubbish when he was here.People saying he was brilliant are talking out of there backside. The only manager who thought he was any good was Le Guen & he was a turkey.
